There is one thing that bothers me. People bully gay people because they say it is immoral. Isn't it immoral to hate someone that is different?
And that right there is one of the many hypocrisies of society.

Also, Valentines Day can go jump off a cliff. For all the couples out there who find happiness in it, there are many people who see it as a day to remind them of how single/heartbroken/whatever they are.
Couples are always walking around reminding us single folks of that in the first place, is an entire holiday necessary to make us feel even crappier about ourselves?

I had high hopes for this year.. then reality slapped me in the face.
    [/bitter rant]

Spookz, I to had the mentality of "2010 is going to be my year" but I just am too passive to bring that to frutition, shy even. I like Valentines, mind you I haven't had a love interest on this day in like 3 years but I still like the idea of making people happy. Unfortunately, it reminds many of their lonliness but I still don't think its the objective of the holiday.

I saw Valentines Day too and Fused, your review was pretty fair. Its getting terrible reviews but I liked it. I loved how there was even a gay couple in it, the movie unlike several romantic comedies, recognized that love does not have to be between a good looking male and good looking female only, that it's for everyone. I loved the cast in general too, Julia Roberts character in particular.

Anyway, we've got 6 more hours of the holiday on my clock. I got invited to a party with some old friends, and by old friends I mean people who haven't bothered to check in with me in 5 months and are trying to take advantage of the fact that Im in town.

Going out for dinner with a bff and then I'll hang with my mom and watch the olympics, how cheasy am I?

    Later^^

EDIT: I just realized that last month was the 5 year anniv. of this club, holy!

I'm really curious as to how this "5th Gen" buisness is going to turn out. I loved first gen, 2nd was pretty rad but had a lot of crappy pokemon that didn't evolve, 3rd even radder, probably my favorite of the series and I have mixed feelings about the 4th, but overall it was okay. As for the 5th though... I like the 2 revealed wolf/fox pokemon so far and am really looking forward to seeing the other new ones once they're revealed. Hopefully it won't be a bunch of crap Pokemon.

How did you meet your best (or any) friend?

My best friend Jane and I met on the school bus in 10th grade. I got expelled from my previous highschool and had to be sent to an alternative school... (I kicked someone's head into a locker for calling me a f*gg*t) Probably my second or third day on the bus, she sat in front of me. She had smiled a few times before, I smiled back... Too shy to really introduce myself. She had dropped her portable cd player on the floor, and her cd slid underneath my seat. I retrieved it and gave it back to her, commenting that No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom was one of my favorite records. I guess we just hit it off after that. We've been friends for years, but only within the past 3 years have we gotten very close. She's been my rock through some really tough times so I'd really be lost without her!

If you had to pick one thing that symbolized your childhood, what would it be?

My Little Ponies. I know, I know that sounds really strange but they were my absolute FAVORITE toys ever. I still have most of my original collection and hundreds more. (Yes, I have a problem) I made my mom record the MLP cartoon series on VHS for me while I was at school, and everyday after school I would crack out in front of the t.v. watching them. Ah the memories...

Yes, the gay couple who had about 10 seconds of screentime as a couple. Yes, I think the movie was a lot more realistic about love, about how some people use it for true emotion, some use it for just connection, some use it for fun or a game. I like how not everyone got together with someone else. And I like ensemble films because there isn't one particular actor being shoved in your face (although Ashton was probably the most prominent person.) Julia Roberts is some I can only handle in a certain number of doses, but in this film, I think she succeeded by not being in it as much. She didn't have a lot of screen time and yet she still made you feel love.

That little boy is like the cutest little kid on the planet though.

GAH! I LOVE THE 2ND GEN! Anyways, the first 2 were defintiely my favorite, but afterwards, while I still enjoyed the series, I felt like they weren't even really trying to impress us, just keep us busy. The two new guys I'm a little mixed about - I like the first stage, but the second stage I don't even see as a Pokemon, it's like a crazy Pokemon, Digimon hybrid thing. I hope the rest of this generation won't be crap either because I probably won't play anymore after I get the new remakes.

So, how was Valentine's Day? I spent the whole day... doing absolutely nothing. It's sad who little I did. I basically just played every single song I have on my computer and watched True Life and Knocked Up and all the other ******** on TV. I also found out the my best friend who hasn't even taken segment 2 of driver's training got a FORD EXPLORER!

@Fused, the 10 seconds kind of threw everyone off, you have to admit. And, to be honest, I doubt I'll buy into the 5th gen either. I almost didn't in the 4th but I bought diamond since I got a DS for christmas years ago. The two new pokemon may seem different, but that's to be expected, we all panic when we see something new as pokemon fans, or at the very least, players of the games.

I'm not even following the Olympics, but I love Nelly Furtado so I'm watching her concert.

As for the thing that symbolizes your childhood, in terms of entertainment, Pokemon and Power Rangers. Couldn't get enough of those two things. Ironically, neither of those things have changed drastically.

And in closing on Valentines day, I hope everyone finds love this year if the havent yet. I am actually excited for when I finally do again.

    /end tacky exit.

My Valentines day was pretty awesome actually, probably the best one yet. Last night I made my boyfriend dinner, then we went out to the club for some drinks and dancing. I got pretty drunk and my guy totally took advantage of that, if you know what I mean. ^_~ I had a great time with him, and the best part... He bought me a boquet of freaking roses! I almost melted... Boys NEVER give me flowers, ever. So that was pretty special to me. I got him some chocolate (I know, how cliche!) and sang him a little love song. Today being the actual V-day, we just hungout and enjoyed eachother's company.

From the sounds of it, most of you loathe valentines day... But I really do hope the rest of you had a good V-day though, single or not. ^_^

I'll shut up now, before I make ya'll puke with my gushy love-ness.

Well, when ED's character came out I was a little surprised, but from that I pieced it all together before seeing it, mostly because Bradley Cooper used ambiguous pronouns.

Eh. My Valentines Day and how it was will be judged at a later date. I actually met someone who is really awesome, super nice and really cute (not to mention an AMAZING hugger/high-fiver). Issue is, he's very flamboyant, and I still have no clue if he is gay or bi or straight. I don't want to like him though. I do, but I'm afraid I'll get hurt, or he'll get weird-ed out, or something bad will happen.

Edit: Guys, I need help. How do you keep a conversation with someone you just met, and what would be a good way to bring the subject of gay people into conversation? I'm talking to the boy and have no clue what to talk about or how to find out if he's gay.

For the record, I am not dead, or a zombie, or, even worse, a twink. Just throwing that out there. I've been busy and disinterested lately. A bit of spriting, PASBL here on Serebii, and my LG team challenge is all the pokemon-related stuff I've been doing lately. As for V-day, I have one acronym: FML
I hate it. It depresses me every year. This year was no different. Stupid dinner thing at my father's church, except it's not really his church anymore. He's resigning from the church on the 28th, to be associate pastor at a larger one. He's basically killing the church since it's very small, and he seems to be feeling absolutely no guilt whatsoever. And I'll be expected to participate more at the new church. In the recent few months, I stopped attending Sunday night and Wednesday night services, as well as the sing night every first friday of the month. I am not going to do that kind of crap again.

Oh Slash! I was really wondering where you ran off to! I didn't spend Valentine's day completely alone, I went to my friend's house and we watched Howl's Moving Castle and ate candy and drank rye. d('_')b

So yeah, the super tall, red-haired, quirky, sort of bearish (and gay) guy at my work found out I have a crush on him. He keeps asking the lady that told him if I'm working so "I can stop and say hi to my little buddy!"

Too bad he has a boyfriend already.

    A hot boyfriend.

PS look a nicer picture of myself. AWW CUTE.

Slash is back! You didn't disappear, just a hiatus.

Anyways, last night I was checking out the NOH8 campaign - and some of those pictures are pretty powerful.

Also, I have a rant to make.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgDWAvLh0yo

This is what is wrong with America. This conference was to discuss the legality of same-sex marriage in some state or another. But listen to her dialogue. Is she talking about marriage? No, she's talking about sex. Myabe it's just our casual approach to the subject lately, but when did sex and marriage become interchangable? Or is it just interchangable when we want it to be?

Either way, that ***** couldn't do anal. Not to mention, who would want to touch her?

    ... RAWR.

@Slash: No offense or anything, but your Dad sounds like a real piece of work.... Like really, from what you said, sounds brutal... Are you religious at all, or do you just not want to go to church?

@Snare: Just stay a friend, because most likely, they will eventually split. xD AND THE PIC IS CUTE! =D

@Fused: I just facepalmed watching that... Is it up to them how they have sex? No, they are supposed to be discussing marriage. -_-' Way to go, you fail.

Btw, if you were wondering: RAWR = I love you. ^_^ It was on a t-shirt I saw at the mall...

I'm sorry but LMAO at the video. I actually laughed when she said "wiggly it around in there", honestly, what courtroom is this and what business does this lady have talking about marriage as a sexual act only? Ugh, I bet she's single.

As much as I agree with the gay marriage campaign, I personally don't see myself getting married. Weird I know but I really haven't thought about it. Equal rights, for sure I've thought about and this is what this whole thing comes down to so I support it. Man that lady was inappropriate in the courtroom though.

End, that rant. Glad you returned from the abyss Slash and as much as I love religion, I don't like forced gatherings either.

I'll post something more personal next time, I'm loaded with coursework as of late and had a nervous breakdown sometime earlier.

I am not religious in the least, I am somewhere between a non-practicing Wiccan due to my philosophies of life, and an atheist due to my disbelief in the divinity of any and every god, goddess, philosopher and/or flying spaghetti monster. Religion just isn't for me

Only good thing about Valentine's day for me was dinner. I like food. :3

As always, I was quite depressed. And I have been quite sad about my crush too. Too bad he's straight.

LO****ingL! First of all - sig'd. Second of all - this literally made me laugh for almost ten minutes. I'm sure you didn't intend it to be humorous, but OMG I just loved it so much. It's so true!
