Ughh I used to camp and hated it. No electricity to plug my things in. I can't go without internet fdor 6 hours let alone 24 lol. Now if I camped and had one of those AC campers with electricity and wifi it would be fun

Just wanted to report on today's election that went on in QLD, I know for most it doesn't really concern you as you don't live here but you might be interested. From what I read the LNP (Liberal National Party) won the election, the reason I am bringing it up here is because I have been reading up on the Gay Marriage Rights in Australia Facebook back and they are saying how Campbell Newman, the leader of that party is bad news for gays and may repealed civil unions (But I am hearing conflicting reports, on another post I read someone mentioning they won't really able to control much of the law I think, so I am not sure if they make much of a difference, I just started voting now and I am still new to politics, which I realize I may have a side that I didn't know was interested in it).

My first vote went to the Australia Labor Party (I almost voted LNP because I wasn't aware they were pretty homophobe, I didn't do enough research), I almost voted LNP but I placed them in second in the ballot. Changed my mind at the last minute which might have been a save, I think ALP however was supportive but not too sure of that.

I think however the only reason LNP even won is because well, voting is compulsory which is the problem, it causes people (Like my mother) to just go over there and tick whatever box without really thinking about it (I might have made the wrong choice or not but aleast I researched some of it, even if it wasn't a lot) so they are like whatever, I don't care.

Due to this the votes that actually count from the people who care don't count too much,. They need to make it non compulsory so people don't do this. One day I am telling you, someone will be elected to be a prime minister or president or whatever, and he will be evil against all things, corrupted with power and make Earth hell. He could take us hundreds years back where racism, homophobia, sexist were common and even Christians could go back to the way they were, killed for their religion or jailed for it. And you know what, it will be those who just voted without any research at all, just ticked the box (Even if the other guy is a good guy) and said whatever, then they will be wishing they never did that.

Even if I vote for the wrong guy, the corrupted guy aleast I know I tried to make a difference and I tried to choose the right guy unlike some people.

Sorry for the little rant it's kinda of on my mind lately, people need to know who they are voting for because who knows, one day things could get worse. Also like I said above, I might have discovered a side that's interested in politics (A major part is electing the ones who are for gay marriage or trying to)
Hey i did not know you are from Australia....

i am not into politics at all, but I was reading about Gillard's stance on gay marriage. it was interesting because it seemed like she was supporting the idea but never came outright in favor of it. I remember her saying that 'this will happen eventually'. I do hope she was right. And I hope evenetulity does not take too long. I moved to Australia because the idea of 'gay marriage' in my home-country is a 'farfetched' idea. It's not that people are against it, it's just that back at home the idea has not even developed to point where people might have to consider it.

Anyway, i moved to Australia in hopes of a better life (and because Aussie guys are HOT!). And I love it in here. Someday I would love to settle down in the proper way. Hope it all works out....

    Naruto- Yes sure welcome
DJ- I would like a trip like that haha, be kinda fun on the road with a couple of friends, buying road trip food and listening to music etc
Shac- Yes I am Yeah we will have to see if she actually goes with it, but I think we may have a chance one day for gay marriage to be unbanned.

And with camping, my only two times camping was back in Year 8 for school, which the first night wasn't much of a experience because an idiot boy set off a stink bomb. When you are asleep or trying to, your first time without really many people around that you know and you got hearing aids out, it can be confusing and scary when you see something's happening (This was at night in the boys dorm, we had a cabin).

Second time was last year in December with my Young Adult church group, was more fun and I slept in a tent, in a sleeping bag for the first time ever. The only thing I didn't like about that experience was for one of the activities we walked to an abandoned railroad like 2km all the way to this glowing worm cave, and well it was 8:30pm, was crazy and scary. But the rest was good, and I am going to Easterfest, a Christian festival with music and I will be most likely camping again.

I'd like to join as a straight alliance if I may. I've actually been reading what you guys say for months now. :$

    Is that odd? o-o

And speaking of camping that reminds of road tripping. Which is funny because the link in my sig is a road trip. So that's a thing.

Yeah welcome to the club, it's always nice having people who aren't GLBT support us (that's why we <3 Willow :P).

So I was talking with a friend while we were driving tonight. He asked me alot of questions and it was nice, we had a nice talk. Then he said if he was a girl he'd bang me, and my facial expession was D:< but he couldn't see (it was dark) so I just said "Oooooh". I found it really awkward and kinda insulting tbh, even though he meant it as a compliment.

Alex- Yes welcome! Not everyone here is gay/lesbian/bisexual etc, some of us are straight like me
DJ- Haha thanks. Anyways that just seem like an awkward conversation, very odd, be like excuse me I want you to bang me as who I am right now, not if I were a girl.
Scub- Well six months is a long time to remember but there have been plenty of things, just of late not much really. You are welcome to start a topic, infact anyone's welcome to start a topic to get a flow going again.

No, I'm lying in order to appear interesting and unique. XD

I know sarcasm doesn't tend to translate well to writing. Just putting that out there.
