Oh my god! That is so sick, and don't know they it's just a movie?

Oh my god...if Amber was ever to...and if these people even dared to....well let's just dsay there wouldn't be a WBC group....

(Amber Benson is the actress in my sig and my favorite, if Heath is getting spat on by these lowlives because he played a gay character, well Amber played a lesbian on TV so you get my drift)
Claims Amber Benson and Ali Larter as Bishie.

They're going to picket because he *PLAYED* a gay man? Never mind all the people who play murderers and rapists, to say nothing of people who actually *are* murderers and rapists, they're going after someone who made believe and got paid for it?

I'm honestly surprised Phelps hasn't gotten shot at by now. I don't think any court in the land would--well no, they'd probably get the book thrown at them, but only in a conservative court. But inciting hate is against the law. And I swear, brainwashing children like that should count as child abuse. I hope the law rips those kids away from those hatemongers as fast as they can.

S-Unit Yeah, I see that. But it's a bit more complicated here as there are always all parties in Power (the Federal Council constist out of 2 from the right wing, 3 from the middle and 2 from the left wing) and all the 4 big parties each take about 20-29% of the seats in both the chambers of the parliament. And the system we have here is called a direct democracy, which gives the people in this country the right to vote about every decision the parliament does, with all the advantages and disadvantages this has (as well as the advantages and disadvantages of our Confederacy). The problem with this system is, that it takes a long time till something changes... However, I hope that I can at least change something in that local gouvernment, I'm hopefully going to be elected in. That whole campaign, however, costs me an awful lot of money and everything here (except taxes) is so unbelievebly expensive anyway. I'm the candidat of the Socialist Party btw.

Heath - WBC I just listened to that podcast and I really freaked out. I'm not religious so I don't really *know* what I'm talking about, but how can peole worship a god that hates? I may have gotten this all wrong, but for what I learnt in Religion class is that God loves everybody, even if some among those everbodies isn't even a Christian. You know, this Shirley-Creature to me just sounded like a foundamentalist of Islam (which is a very peacful religion (as you can read in the coran) btw) who eventually become terrorists. I normally don't generalize or offend people but those WBC people are nothing more than pitiful stupids. Sorry aber such things just make me really angry.

Don't the United States have laws against such a thing? For here, people who state things like that publicly would be legally pursuited

But I kinda have missed all the fun as this year was rather exciting here, politic wise. But well, that gives me the time to prepare for the European Championship that's held here next summer (sadly without England (and Michael Owen), which is a real shame) but I also got the time to prepare my election campaign as I hopefully will be elected into the town council next year (my Dad is a mayor, so he'll hopefully be able to help a bit....).
But seeing you've all got lots of work to do I say: Heads Up, summer shan't be long (or how we say here: "chopf hoch, sisch scho gli summer)
Don't worry too much it's good for everybody to have some time off to cool down and relax. Summer's far off for me, and to be honest I'd like to enjoy these moments now whilst I can. Summer means my four week trip to Africa, and I need to prepare haha. I also have my birthday next month, which includes a trip to London and Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Royal Theatre! Definitely something I cannot simply ignore haha.

Basically, some woman was being interviewed and was going on about Heath going to hell. This same woman appeared on another show and showed images of her young children holdng signs that said "God hates ***s". Now, I have nothing against Christans at all, most of my family are very religious. But this is way too far.
That's disgusting, URGH! These people really make me angry, Heath was a fantastic guy from what I've heard, and his movie roles were brilliant. He starred in a film with gay orientation, oh WHOOP-DE-DOO! He ACTED. Geeze, these people need to grow up, and just get over their crappy selfish moronic underdeveloped immature and shallow views on life! I could type more, but.. I think I'm just fed up ^^'.

markomega, I shall refrain from quoting another pathetic excuse for an article, but that's just incredible. Incredibly WRONG. What kind of screwed up ignorant stuck up low life would write something so hurtful and based upon the simple traditionalist view that God is a prejudising freak? Oh yes. THE USUAL. *Rant rant rant* These people need to just see the world for what it is, maybe even see their own RELIGION for what it is.

Such a ridiculous cluster of the Christian faith. Thank goodness it's not like that over here >.> I'd probably have exploded. Cerulean21 is correct, I mean even our Prime Minister himself stated that racism and homophobia was not welcome in our country. Perhaps some people ought to get off their rears and do something about it, rather than to wallow in the revolting pacts of society that ruin lives furthermore everyday.

Finally, I'm going to be more positive now ^_^. swift arrow, sounds like a great holiday! I'll give my friend in Australia a belated bag of good will when we next speak!

Now for the weekend, I can relax . And write an essay on classical Greek pots o.O. I might meet up with a friend outside of school. I've noticed that I'm just not the same person as I used to be. I used to be crazy and bubbly and smiley.. Now I'm inward and quiet, and not much seems to make me laugh anymore. A lot of the time it's just forced. Maybe I just miss my old friends, but hey. I just need something to make me truly smile.

No I shan't drink 12 cans of Red Bull like one of my friends did today haha.

    Take care everyone!

She didn't, she's just very crazy . Past her suicidal tendencies also. This would be purely accidental o.O. I know a lot of people with caffeine problems x.x. I don't seem to have any food/drink related problems myself fortunately, I'm happy haha.

Clash- I agree, sounds cruel but they are even more cruel.
BG- I know, ridiculous, they don't seem to know the difference between reality and fiction, so does that mean every actress and actor (Which is ALOT) who ever played a lesbian or gay or bisexual are going to have thier funeral invaded? *Clings to Amber*, it's sad on the lengths that people will go for something thaat isn't even real.
    SA- Happy Australia day

And I am going to see what the Christian club thinks of this, surely they agree that this is too far.

Indeed, it disgusts me what some of those fundamentalists say and do, but you know what really disgusts me?

Clash: "I do hope somebody stabs them in the eyes."

Blackjack Gabbiani: "I'm honestly surprised Phelps hasn't gotten shot at by now. I don't think any court in the land would--well no, they'd probably get the book thrown at them, but only in a conservative court. But inciting hate is against the law. And I swear, brainwashing children like that should count as child abuse. I hope the law rips those kids away from those hatemongers as fast as they can."

Cerulean21: "I normally don't generalize or offend people but those WBC people are nothing more than pitiful stupids."

Even you, Andy: "What kind of screwed up ignorant stuck up low life would write something so hurtful and based upon the simple traditionalist view that God is a prejudising freak?"

How dare you consider yourselves superior to these people when you yourselves recommend physical and psychological harm, the same as they? Most everybody here's just proven to me that they've little, if any, genuine humanity.

Cerulean21: That's awesome, best of luck to you in the election! The city where I live does not have municipal parties, everyone's an Independent, although some friends of mine and myself are planing on potentially starting a progressive/centre-left party to run municipal candidates if not this election, then the one after.

Nintandy: You lucky little so-and-so! Getting to go to Africa this summer. The most I'll probably end up with is deciding on whether to go to Edmonton or Vancouver to do my shopping. Probably Edmonton, because there is no provincial sales tax, plus there is Canada's largest mall there!

The whole thing with Phelps and the WBC is pretty disturbing, but at the same time, kinda laughable. I mean, don't these people have anything better to do, or have a life? Sad really. I wouldn't even pay them any attention really (since bullies crave attention).

You're a tool if you think calling someone ignorant and stuck-up is psychologically harmful. Don't ever step out into the real world if you think that's hurtful since you'll surely be called things 1000x worse at some point in your life.

SSM- Well Australians go out and celebrate, have events and stuff like thast, didn't do anything today but I am going somewhere on Monday for it.
TN- Now I wasn't wishing death upon them, but they do need to be hit over the head so they can see some sense. And can you explain to me why exactly Cerulean/Andy did anything to suggest physical harm?, they stated thier opinions, and the WBC is stupid, they are bashing an actor for no reason, whom btw the way played a fictional characterand they decided to take it literally.

Facetious- Everytime I think you are a jackass, you end up making a good post 0.o, because you do have a good point, Takauta, people have said worse, nobody really did say they wished the WBC to be dead now did they? I don't want you to think I am ganging up on you, because I am not, but I just had to say this.

The only thing I "recommended" there was having their children taken away from them. Those poor kids are being BRAINWASHED.

When it's classified as a "cult" (which is by definition just a small religion, not all of them are bad), kids would be ripped away without much thought. But oh no, this is "mainstream" so it can't be that bad...but it *IS*. This is WORSE than what so-called "cults" do. They're TEACHING KIDS TO HATE. Kids who hate grow up to KILL and other terrible things. This goes beyond "freedom of religion", it's brainwashing, pure and simple.

This whole situation with this church group is some serious bull**** <<" ..ugghhh it's reminding me of why 4 kids tv,cartoon network etc takes out hinted homosexuality in anime shows they obtain.

with all this supression of homsexuality no wonder peopke are afraid to come outta the closet .

If people just accepted it and let it be publicized, kids would be able to grow up with a better understanding and not have to deal with the effects of being trashed, secretive, bullyed, suicidle etc....sometimes I wonder about this world T_T"

It has gotten better mind you over the years(thank god) but still...more could be done to educate people (mostly teens and children) about homosexuality to create a more uderstanding comfortable atmoshpere about the issue. Have it studied in health or sex ed class or something and go into the history of it and then bring up the topic on how it's nature for crying out load (when I think of gay penguins I get all giddy X3 kawaii) and stuff like that. Ya I'm sure kids would crack up stereotypical and prefudice remarks but they'd still be requiring the knowledge and doing it in a larger group with familiar faces in a public atmosphere would cause less tension about the issue maybe. ya I know there's many ways this wouldn't work but what the heck

anyway, if my friend lora(major homosexuality supporter obsessed with shonen ai loves brokeback mountain and heath ledger) heard what this group said, I truly belive she'd make it her life long mission to track this church down and take them out lol.

It's going to be weird seeing him in that batman movie o_o...almost like seeing a ghost.

Oh don't give me that crap.

Recommending physical and psychological harm on these asshats, after the shit they've done, is downright natural.

I'm a peaceful pinko commie, laid back, forgiving and nice.
But if they'd pop up in my face, during the funeral of a person I love, while I'm grieving?
I'd not 'wish' harm on them, I would directly inflict harm on them.
I'm sure the people who you quoted feel the same. Anyone who was hurt by them and wants to perform Lex Talions upon their asses, power to them.

And yes, their children are victims and should be taken away from lunatics.

Takuta-Nui, when did I consider myself superior? Never. I don't often rant, but at times I think it's necessary to convey your point of view. What they wrote was disgusting, even if they thought what they were doing was in their eyes for a just cause. Maybe I did go a bit over the top, but it was incredibly hurtful and disrespectful, and they had no right to consider THEMSELVES superior under God's law just because somebody acted as a homosexual in a film production. Low-life is probably the word you honed in on; over here that's not used as an extreme term, I don't know if it is where you are. It simply means their minds are too focused on other things than those which are truly important. I myself believe that they are being incredibly ignorant. I accept there are people like this in the world at all times, and that we must tolerate. I am just putting across how it makes me feel, as were everybody else, even if a little sadistic. Again, I myself never wished ill-fate upon them, but another thing we don't have much over here: such artificial forms of Christianity. These are extreme, yes, but this is not what the faith is all about. I come from a loving Christian family, who go to Church each week and have a VERY close and friendly community. This would revolt anybody here to no end. Although I myself am agnostic, I believe God would not be so prejudist, and so hateful towards his own people. That is why I said what I did.

Now then... apart from agreeing with Ragnarofl, I'm going to reply to S-Unit ^_^.

Thank you, I am indeed really looking forward to it. And dreading it.. It'll be incredibly tough, but I'm willing to try my hardest. The group is small and compact, and I have no enemies, so we should get along for the most part. I'm sharing a tent with the only two other males, one of which is gay. We had some fantastic discussions on the training expedition, so for four weeks I'm sure we'll have a lot to talk about!

I wish you all the best, and don't explode too much ^^'.

Looks like crazy **** has happened since his death huh?

I guess, in the end, no one will ever be satisfied, because were all so fragile in our emotions we can't take criticisms from any side.

What those videos and signs say and do is a contradiction of the dogma they want to spread anyway, so it is best to ignore it, because commenting rashly is stooping to their level in the end. However, when someone criticizes what is said on a free forum as well, it's also just as wrong. The reason we can say anything is because this is our own little community. We can have differing opinions on the subject, i personally think anyone who said she should die for flaming Ledger is acting foolish, but we need to respect the opinions as much as possible in the end.

That's it for my rant, back to work.

OMG. Guys look what I just found.
"There are no plans for a public service," Ledger's US-based publicist Mara Buxbaum said in an email to The New York Times newspaper.

Ledger's family has reason to hold its memorial services in private as some US religious groups have vowed to picket any service to protest the actor's portrayal of a gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain.
