I tried when I played Red version for the first time. I thought that a Marowak would be a perfect Pokemon for my team. So I spent some time trying to capture it, only to discover that it was programmed to be uncatchable. I was disappointed.

When I realized the truth i was like: "Omg, is REALLY a ghost and I'm really in a cemetery after all!" And every time the Lavender Tower quest is more terrifying...

first time-yes. in this time in past i doesnt know english too much so i a few times catch it. but after few times i abandon this idea.

Yea I tried to capture the dead Marowak. It isn't common that they did appear. So I threw a Poke ball at it and didn't work.

But of course. It was something new to catch, and I hadn't found a Cubone prior to it(I'm not even sure I knew what a Cubone was).

Being quite young when I played the first Pokemon games, I did. I also tried to catch the "ghost"s that you see before you get the Silph Scope... (I think it's the Silph Scope, right?)

i tried to catch it in R/B/Y.
i tried to catch it in FR/LG.
i will try to catch if kanto cames to the 5th gen
its fun seeing my poKéballs being useless

Yes, I tried to capture it once. I came prepared with a huge supply of Pokeballs too!
I was very disappointed when I found out you couldn't get it.
