    It Happened One Night

Got it for Christmas. I first watched it in Cinema History two years ago, and I still love it today. I don't exactly remember why we watched it to begin with in the class, but it's such a great film, being the first screwball comedy. My dad eventually warmed up to it.

    Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)

How anyone actually enjoys these movies is just beyond me. Its needlessly mean-spirited, disgustingly gorey and everything about it is just mindless torture porn. Leatherface is just flat out annoying and I'd rather see someone take that chainsaw of his and shove it up his rectum. He isn't even a character so much as a reason for the volume to raise with him flailing out like a complete retard. The rest of the family is just disgustingly mean and it makes really hate the "Hick Family that Kills" genre. It feels like they simply kill anybody that isn't from around the area and the whole "Kids like you bullied my son" shtick was just slapped on so they wouldn't seem like complete monsters, which they still do. The "Sheriff" has to be the absolute worst of them all. I get that he is simply abusing his power, but he comes off as a stupid hick that molests any pretty girl that happens to come in the area and beat the ever loving hell out of any guys that aren't dead yet. In some stupid and sick way, we are supposed to like the family, Leatherface included and cheer their exploits, but that is not something I will get behind in these movies. Granted, the main characters aren't engaging at all and are basically chainsaw fodder, but the family is so detestable an mean-spirited that I simply cannot cheer for them either. The main characters are your typical "Stupid college kids who want to party and get high", and that pretty much never makes for engaging main characters that you want to care about, but the family isn't a good alternative.

And yes, I do sometimes enjoy when the bad guys win sometimes, but only if its done well and not because "Well, we can't have the good guys win, so the bad guys have to". Even that I deep down can't root for either side in the movie, I was more inclined towards the kids, simply because their plight made sense and the family is just mean spirited for no reason at all.

And the way they treat the females in these moves is deplorable. They have them do nothing but scream, get sexually assaulted, and then completely mutilated in the worst way possible. There is nothing "sexy" about a girl being covered in her friends blood then being mutilated with a chainsaw through her stomach. It's sick and disgusting. And we really don't need *** shots every time a girl just so happens to be on screen. We really don't need you zooming in on her *** when people are dying left and right. They sexualize these females then have them ripped apart after screaming in agony.

The film ends on a somber note, but it still doesn't excuse everything up to that point. At the end of it all, I had this horrible taste in my mouth and felt extremely dirty after watching it. All the torture, all the sexual assault, all the disgusting characters just made me absolutely hate it after watching it lurch toward what it calls an "ending". It absolutely revels in how disgusting it's being, licking its lips from every cringe and moment it makes you feel uncomfortable and proceeds to give more after it. It relies on forced jump scares because it isn't good enough to build upon tension and give pay off for it. And if it that wasn't bad enough, it replaces what little scares are left by simply showing you gore.

These movies aren't scary. There sick and have no need for being so needlessly cruel and grotesque. I simply loathe this movie series and I really wish that fans out it would stop putting money into them. And I really can't blame the directors, since almost every move forward was because it was what the fans wanted. They wanted to know how the family got so messed up. They wanted Leatherface's backstory. They wanted all the gore. It was just the directors giving them exactly what they wanted.

Yes I love Jurassic Park so much and I agree the scene with the T-rex is great I love when they are watching the water.

    Paranormal Activities 1,2,and 3.

You know, despite all the flack they've gotten, the first two are pretty interesting movies. Not scary by any means, but the story is somewhat intriguing.

However, the the third one was terrible. It retconned everything interesting about the first two and decided to do every single scary movie stereotype that exists today.

And so a new journey begins...

even if we don't understand each other, that's not a reason to reject each other. There are two sides to any argument. Is there one point of view that has all the answers? Give it some thought.

Madagascar 3. It was a classic Madagascar movie. I had rather low expectations for the movie, but it blew me away!

It's probably because I haven't seen the original cartoon in years/watched a little of it. So I can't really judge that well as a fan I suppose xP or... in general? Meh.

    Music and Lyrics.

    Meh, alright, kinda cheesy and kinda funny at times. The songs... I did find enticing though, sadly <.<;

    Hm...
the last one I watched beginning to end was, "Pokčmon: Kyurem VS The Sword of Justice".
Although, technically the last one I watched was 10 minutes of "Cats and Dogs" and the last one I watched in theaters was "Rise of the Guardians".

I have a feeling my post was a little long for this topic xD

Silver Linings Playbook. Jennifer Lawrence was absolutely stunning. There's no way she's not getting her first Oscar for that role.

    Rise of the Guardians

Saw it with a friend today, and I love it, very pretty and very fun movie, it leaves a warm, fuzzy feeling in your heart. It's possibly tied for first with Wreck-It Ralph for the best movie I've seen this year, but I had a more emotional attachment with Wreck-It Ralph than I did with this one. Still, I would so love to see it again. I swear time stopped the moment the movie started, because I felt like we weren't in the theater for very long. That doesn't happen very often.

Last movie I watched was The Hobbit in 3D.
I really enjoyed it despite there being an upset baby in the theaters but what can ya do? I know I should have expected it, but totally didn't expect them to cut it off where they did. Damn you sequels!
