Yesterday I watched the "80s Opera" Flashdance. It was amazing.
The movie ends with this freeze frame. Of course, you'd need to see the movie to understand what it means, but this beautiful shot really sums up the whole movie.

Where do I begin? I will not only edit this post but will be very active in this thread from now on as I have seen many movies in the past few weeks and my posts are generally very long.
I'll start with The Dark Knight Rises, god I loved this movie. Many sequels and third installments generally aren't as "good" as the first movie in the series, I can honestly say this is not the case with the sequels in the Dark Knight Trilogy. Every movie expands on the events of the past one and manages to surpass what the previous one did.
However there were a few things I liked and didn't like about this movie so here I go.
Pros: Anne Hathaway in that cat woman suit.
Bane breaking Batman's back, although I wish it would have been a little more dramatic.
Liam Neeson's voice, who doesn't like his voice?
The same applies for Morgan Freeman
I thinks that's all for Pros.
Cons: Tom Hardy's voice was annoying and it reminded me a bit too much of Sean Connery.(Just to clarify: I like Sean Connery and he is one of my favorite actors, I just feel that a voice that is similar to that of Sean Connery isn't intimidating enough)
Whenever Anne Hathaway wasn't in that cat woman suit. The whole movie should have been centered around Anne Hathaway wearing that cat woman suit.

Mr. Holland's Opus. We watched it during a class that I usually poke tons of fun at outside of it.
Oh, the movie itself? Pretty good!

Temple Grandin
I love this movie because it shows how different isn't less.
Apparently, the Kids Bop lyrics of "Thrift Shop" go like this:
Walk into the club, like, "What up, I gotta big heart"
Cool. That's one of my favourite movies.
TV: The Artist
That dog. Aww, so cute. Anyway... The Artist is very stylistic movie that is definitely worthy of awards. It's mostly "silent" throughout the film, but the moments when there are diegetic sounds (whereby the source of the sound is visible on the screen), it is so brilliantly done. It's a work of art. It really is.
Cinema: Silver Linings Playbook
I went to a special Valentine's Day screening of this film and it was a really enjoyable experience. I've been wanting to see this for quite some time, but I never had the opportunity to catch it until now. There are so many things I like about it, but the main highlight was the fact that Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence were absolutely flawless.

Mona Lisa Smile
It was good, not usually the type of movie that I prefer to watch but it was still interesting and fun all the same.
V for Vendetta on TV. I couldn't resist watching it again.
"Hey! I was looking forward to seeing you! My rival should be strong to keep me sharp."
Your rival would like to battle!
The Woman in Black
It was worse than I thought it was gonna be. Radcliffe should just retire from acting. He's never not gonna be known as Harry Potter anyways.
You know your name better than I do. YAY!
A Good Day to Die Hard
Meh. Wasn't that good. Didn't really bring anything new to the series. The same old formula of a lot of action with a bad plot. I think this series needs a serious work over or they should just stop completely.
6/10

TV: The Birds
It is very surprising that it took me so long to actually sit down and watch this movie considering I have already seen practically every Hitchcock film. Anyway, it was on TV last night so I decided it was time to finally experience it. I can see why it might be terrifying for some, especially if you are indeed afraid of birds and, even if you're not, you might well be after viewing this film. I personally did not find it that scary, but that is not the film's primary intention, I don't think. The real skill is in the suspense, which is what Hitch does best.
In addition, it is somewhat strange to watch this movie after seeing The Girl last year. It kind of makes me wonder about what really went on between Tippi Hedren and Hitchcock. Nevertheless, it is a good movie.
