On their way to Nimbasa City, Ash & Co. come across Meowth who appears to be injured. Upon healing, Meowth claims he has been removed from Team Rocket due to mistakes made. However, before too long, a wild Scrafty comes and kidnaps Iris' Axew. Meowth takes this opportunity to prove himself useful to Ash & Co. but is all what it appears?
