Remember that 3-part Pinky and the Brain episode where a Macarena parody dumbed down the world? I'd like to see a similar episode on MLP:FIM.

Is it me, or did Discord act suspiciously like a person who constantly derided the concept driving the ponies until he saw just what it really meant? It may be safe to assume that my mind went into overdrive preparing for this episode, especially with Rescue at Midnight Castle a little over a week ago. Even now, they continue to dance in my head, whether it’s to “Gangnam Style” or “The Caramell Dance”.:

I spotted the main ponies, the Princesses, Vinyl Scratch, Trixie, Cheerilee, and even that winged unicorn version of Lauren Faust, and the sequence makes me chuckle whenever it plays. I could start browsing through various deviantART images after yesterday’s episode, so perhaps this month looks quite thoughtful for me already.

Another meta-fridge brilliant moment: Discord sees the ponies as nothing more than cheap playthings. But by the end of the episode, he's forced to admit that "Friendship is Magic." Now imagine all those people watching the show who started out thinking that My Little Pony was just a dumb show built around a line of girls' toys...

If they were swapping bodies, Twilight wouldn't look like herself as an alicorn, she'd look like Celestia. Besides, I don't think alicornism is removed.

-The show will take a Merlin-esque turn, and Celestis turns out to be the evil sister posing as the lovable princess. ( I'm gonna get shot for that one, right?)

That would be an interesting Shyamalan-esque plot twist, but I doubt it'll happen.

I'm pretty sure it would take more than an ordinary magical accident to turn Twilight into a goddess.
 

Besides, she would probably just turn on them in the end, seeing as though she and her minions have to feed off of...whatever it was.

I'm a bit skeptical about that whole incident and to what degree the Changelings "need" love, TBH. If the Changelings really did need it enough to warrant an invasion of that scale, then they'd be a more constant threat to Equestria and Canterlot probably would've been better prepared for such an invasion.

Maybe they don't totally need it but as Chrysalis vs Celestia shown, it can really fuel them up so to speak. Invading during the wedding was smart given Cadence's talent.

My headcanon says that Changelings sneak into places where there are ponies and seek couples to feast off their love. Since they can copy appearances, they run the risk of being discovered by the original and having their cover blown. Should they be discovered, the ponies react in fear at how grotesque they look and how anyone could be a Changeling. This makes feasting on love harder than ever and Chrysalis wasn't pleased at how these hardships her subjects faced which was one of the reason she planned to invade Canterlot (the presumed capital of Equestria). With her rule, the ponies would be forced to obey her and her Changeling subjects would have nothing to worry about concerning food and such.

And BTW, yes, yes I do have a habit for overthinking certain things.

Well, after having wondered how long this would take, my questions are dispelled. I’m having flashbacks to everything I did involving Japan and anime throughout these past several years, including my activities on this very forum. Interestingly, especially for me, Twilight and Fluttershy are the only ponies without voice actresses as of now, but they’re scheduled to be revealed in March. The other bronies are bracing themselves for an influx of Japanese bronies, and I should be able to continue my personal history review for this month.

So, I thought this was a far more solid ep for Spike that Spike at Your Service. There was continuity with Peewee, Spike's greed problem, and Zecora was in it too. It really was just a good old fashioned ep, almost like it could have come from S1 in its styling. The only thing I can't figure out is why the Mane6 went to the Crystal Empire. I know Fluttershy said why in the beginning, but she was speaking so quick I couldn't catch it all. Could someone plz recap?
All in all, a nice solid ep.
