Trixie wants revenge. And yes, while I do agree to that being her sentiment, I don't think it's strong enough for her to team up with someone evil like Sombra. (This could just be my Trixie love popping out in her defense), but anyhow, Trixie just wants fame and fortune, and while it appears she'd be willing to go to any lengths to get them, I don't think she would have it in her to harm other ponies for her own gain. She's not evil like Sombra or Nightmare Moon (and no, I will not include Discord or Chrysalis in that list), so I just don't think she would go that far.

Plus, from a studio perspective, it wouldn't really make sense for them to put all of their new and recurring antagonists into the first two episodes.

The song isn't bad. It's actually one of the better mainstream pop songs released in recent memory. I don't like pop at all and it's a pretty catchy song. It is a little overplayed but that doesn't make it terrible. People need to get off their high horse and start thinking for themselves with an open mind.

Anyhow, this thread is getting way off topic, so I see it as my duty to put it back on track.

The CMCs played a major role in S2. How heavy do you think their appearances will be in S3, alone or together?

Before it was revealed about all the returning characters, plus all the new ones, I would have said they would play about the same role they did in S2. However, with all of said stuff above, I am wondering if they will get to have as much screentime without the season seeming crowded and overstuffed.
