Iris: Are you sure the recipe calls for this many Minccino?
Cilan:*Sighs* Hang on, I'll check.
Ash: What's happening?
Cheren: Yeah...he does that sometimes.

That copter at the end is Dr. Zager's mobile research lab. Oh yeah, stuff is happening now!
I never usually feel pity, but those two deserve it after that.
Talk about shocker with the purrloin's gender, then again with a body like that it is really hard to tell.
EEHEEHEEHEEHEEEE!!! X3 A Maaaaale! Yay! Man am I relieved! XD I was WONDERING how that's gonna end! *LOL*
But WHY were they still blushing? o.o
*flails*
Still, I am really glad! XD Meowth belongs to meeee! >D (Well, in a way anyway.)
Hmm, I might try this captioning business.
Meowth: Hey, y'know we'll always be friends, right?
Oshawott: Together forever, man. Mi and ju.
Both: <3

Anyone care to translate what TR said in that last scene?
...
Purrloin is male....
That is so messed up. Poor Oshawott and poor Meowth.
...Why did Ash agree with Cilan's "bad taste" after Purrloin was revealed to be male, when canon indicates that he shouldn't even know what the situation was about? I guess stuff was a little more blatant this time, what with Meowth actually asking Purrloin to go out with him, but to a boy who even misinterpreted the word "couple", it should've still been alien vocabulary.
Also, no mini-Cilan flashback made me sad. I hope we're going to get one whenever this phobia will be explained.
Okay, enough complaining. I enjoyed the episode nonetheless. Seeing someone as kind-hearted as Cilan not even bat an eyelid when Purrloin talked about the emergency situation its friends were in was a nice change of pace. Makes me all the more curious what happened to him!
Finally, there was the great twist at the end of the episode. All inconsistencies aside, it was amusing, especially since I didn't see that coming at all :D

Sushi can you translate what TR were saying at the end of the episode?
I don't watch TR scenes any more.
...
Okay fine.
James: Preparations are done.
Jessie: All right, now things will get interesting.
Doesn't sound like a great twist, unless you're saying that Prof. Zager and Pierce are returning.
It was male? Well that was a nice surprise. It's good that they thought of a new way for Meowth (and Oshawott) not to end up with the Pokemon. It's usually it runs off with a PotD, or evolves, but this was surprising.
Good episode besides that.
And you did back in Advanced Generation and Diamond/Pearl, when they were doing the same shtick nearly every episode? -_-
Granted, their two scenes here weren't nearly as good as the two ones from last episode. They were mainly giving verbal preparation exposition here, which just isn't as fun to watch as when they're doing something physical to prepare.
I hope Pierce comes back (obviously), but Zager's definately coming; that's his research helicopter, after all.Doesn't sound like a great twist, unless you're saying that Prof. Zager and Pierce are returning.

I'm just not interested in them unless they're the focus of an episode. Carrying suitcases, installing tiny plastic gadgets and looking down at a city while speaking cryptically might be nice to look at/listen to, but I just prefer the twerps. Always have. They never fail to be quirky and endearing; this episode was no exception.
Sometimes. Please don't peg me as an anti-BW!TR troll or an anti-anything. I have no huge vendetta against any version of the Rockets in particular, be it pre-BW or BW. I'm just more of a twerp person.Originally Posted by AgentPierce

Again, I do like the first kind of thing (using suitcases and cool gadgetry), but the second, yeah, it's just not as exciting. Standing somewhere and speaking about what you're going to do just feels too much like filler compared to, well, actually doing it.
Hopefully, with Ingo and Emmett in the next episode, Jessie and James will do something again, rather than be all talk.

Hmm so Purrloin turned out to be a male instead of a female. For the first time ever in pokemon, I think this is appropriate:
I'm still not sure that I trust Meowth though. Pokemon is a series that lives on Status Quo is God so I'm not so sure they'd really send Meowth away like that. I get the feeling this is either some elaborate plan from TR or Meowth will betray Ash and co once they meet Jessie and James again.
