You can get an A in that low math course and it will influence a higher GPA score but it won't be as high as if you took a higher level course. So it tries not to exclude but it also doesn't reward people for inadequacy. Otherwise I'd have had no incentive to take those higher math classes, would I?

Our GCSE (the exams you take at 15/16) system works in a similar way, but meaner. There are two tiers for most subjects; Foundation and Higher. Basically Higher is a lot more difficult but you get the chance to get an A*, the top grade, but Foundation exams are capped at a C. Taking Foundation courses means that your future in education is uncertain, because pretty much all A-Level courses need a B or above for admission.

Today went well, especially for a Monday. We're doing hockey in Phys. Ed. and it is so much fun! I usually hang back and play defense, which I love. I have some guy who is really good at hockey on my team, and he basically scores most of our points. Everyone else gets a few here and there.

Just finished my nightmare week of Midterms had all of this to do within the week

British Literature: 5 page paper+midterm exam
American Literature: Midterm exam+group project
Intro to English Major: Midterm exam+3 page paper
Minorities in Literature: 7 page paper+midterm exam
Music in Western Civilization: 3 page concert review+midterm exam

needless to say I'm glad spring break is next week because I need a break xD

well, thanks to the HSPA, I only have 2 classes/day for the next 3 days. isn't it funny how the misery of high school juniors makes one's life easier?

Nothing much has happened at my school that's important, unless you count me accidentally breaking a window when someone cornered me and I began to panic. I'm being forced into paying for the window since I did it out of "malicious intent" and not because I was scared.

Oh, and someone over cooked their popcorn at school, and caused a small fire. Second one this year.

Mock exams are finally over. I think I did ok overall in English and Sociology but Psychology was a mess. I neglect to revise ONE particular topic in the entire unit and what happens? Three entire questions on it, two six markers and one twelve marker. I'm screwed.

Today was such a waste. I had three free classes and there were fewer than eight people in the three classes after lunch due to a sporting event. I really can't say I cared too much, though. School has been quite horrible lately and I'm extremely tired. At least I've got only twelve more days of it to endure before a two-week-long break.

Well, the good news for today is that I got 100s on both my biology and chemistry exams. The bad news is that my chemistry lab experiment was abruptly ended when the container of magnesium oxide I had got knocked off onto the floor. XD Good thing my professor let me use the data from my neighbors so I could complete the report.

It's been really sunny lately and an ice cream van has been appearing outside of school. And it's turning into summer.
As for inside school they have the heating turned on full blast and I've got a stupid RS project due in today which I need to print some pages for. Damn.
