No problem. People give Stathakis a lot of credit as one of the founders of Heavy Offense. He just played the team differently to get around Blissey. (He used Explosion a lot.)

Stathakis was the one who termed it HO, but dual screen offense has been around forever.
I am really excited since I found out Nachos on Smogon peaked number 4 with Ragnarok's and my HO team!
He had around 1595 points, so I am really proud.
Two new pokemons to the HO: unburden hitmonlee and moxie salamance
Hitmonlee have a special set up move that the only restriction to it are 2 things: steadfast and ghost pokemons
the set up move is called fake out and he should use the following set:
@normal gem
Trait:Unburden
nature:Adamant
EV: 252 attack 252 speed, 4 HP
Fake out
Close combat
Stone Edge
Blaze Kick/bulk up
with 543 speed (after unburden boost) and 372 attack he might be a great HO pokemon he have good special defense (low HP) and can use 2 boosting moves bulk up and fake out + normal gem his main counter is gengar cause he is the fastest ghost but it can work he also benefit from HO mind of not switching.
Blaze kick is against sizor mostly and another wa hitting sub disable gengar and 0HKO ferrothorn, close combat is STAB and stone edge provides great coverage.
the question is: is he considered HO pokemon?
the other one is salamace with moxie and screens he can work well
but another question.. fire blast on salamance,HP ice on landorus, psychock doesn't all those just negate the term of one type of offence using some special moves but we all agree fire blast>fire fang always on salamance

Salamence and Landorus are still physical attackers.but another question.. fire blast on salamance,HP ice on landorus, psychock doesn't all those just negate the term of one type of offence using some special moves but we all agree fire blast>fire fang always on salamance
Landorus, for example, won't be using HP ice on anything but Gliscor. For the reason they use only Physical/Special teams, this is actually a really good idea. All of a sudden, Gliscor isn't a problem, and it's known as a great physical wall.
Salamence's fire blast will remove Ferrothorn, Skarmoy, and others. However, it won't depend on using Fire Blast to sweep, as it would with Dragon Claw or Outrage, just remove a couple walls.
And of course, Psyshock removes blissy, who obviously has lots of fun fighting with special HO teams.
I've never really played HO, though.Well, it's an offensive set-up sweeper, and it can set up easily. I personally think it would, but as I've said, I have no experience with HO.the question is: is he considered HO pokemon?

I find Intimidate Salamence better than Moxie in Hyper Offense, because Intimidate gives you more bulk and of course under Double Screens and an opponent with -1 Attack it's easier to set up.
Well maybe it could be a HO pokemon in the lower tiers. I mean, I even tried to do RU Hyper Offense! Things like Evolite Metagross in RU, or even Alakazam in UU can set up screens, and there are a lot of sweepers in the lower tiers, so yeah probably Hitmonlee could be one.
A Physicall HO team has physicall sweepers but pokemon such as Landorus and Salamence can carry their good specials attacks, to surprise Physicall Walls.
I've found Cloyster to be a staple on my physical HO teams, for it's ability to OHKO all the best physical walls after SR.

As of August 18th 2012, I resigned as a CG leader.
It's very similar. They are both frail teams with a Deoxys S lead. It isn't classic HO, but it is spike stacking offense. It is just a different way of doing a pure sweeper team. This team also wouldn't exist if they didn't ban Excadrill. Excadrill destroys this team just how it destroys the classic dual screen HO teams.
I usually use Zeph's version of that team. I use Spec'd Kingdra > Rotom W, Double Dance Terrakion, and CB Dragonite. I also use CB Scizor.
It has Levitate.
Azelf @ Light Clay
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Light Screen
- Taunt
- Reflect
- Stealth Rock
"Once the respective wall on the opponent's team is down, the opponent has nothing else to stand in the way of your sweepers."
Reaspective wall? What if they have FIVE walls? One problem I've noticed is that at team full of walls can sponge my hits and set up on me.
if the opponent has gliscor tangrowth nidoqueen and golurk, you can assume from the start of the battle that terrakion will not sweep that game
easy as that
Alright, i'm rather new to this and i had an absolutely amazing idea ( i think). If you guys think it'll work, i'll make a thread. But, im thinking of a NU trick room HO. With all of your expertise guys, do you think it could work? If yes, i'll make a thread in 5gen RMT and you can all read it there.

This archeops is currently staring into your soul. Deal with it.
They will not all be physical walls. Also what are 5 walls exactly going to do against SD Haxorus? A team of sacrificies is tried and proven. Using pokemon with similar counters have been used since the beginning DPP OU.

SD Scizor nightmare. Haxorus nightmare. Scrafty nightmare. Cloyster nightmare.
You need to play around Whimsicott. That HO team isn't perfect btw. I will try to fix it later. Try dual screen Deoxys D maybe.
That is basically a Trick Room team. It generally works well in the lower tiers.
Alright, sweet thanks. I'll get too it, OU isn't as fun as lower tiers

No problem. Trick Room is normally played as a bulkyish hyper offense team. Trick Room, beat face for a few turns, and repeat.
I found a HO worked better anyway. Trick room was adding too much pressure. Made two players in ou quit when i play LU on Pokemon Online

I might be doing it wrong, (im pretty sure somewhere it says use physical or special sweepers only on ho) but I personally prefer to keep it mixed. I made an ho uu team the other day and it won all but one match that I had (lost 1-0 on the last one, not sure how, I think they had a sableye and all I had left was deoxys-d lol)
Glad to see this is still up and running! Good luck all with your teams! I will get back into battling when I can. Right now I am busy with getting stuff organized. I will post later.
Sorry for the double post. I'm just posting to say that I changed some stuff like links and such in the main post.
