Seems like this guide hasn't gotten any attention in a while

Is this still a good playstyle?

I hate SO many of the best hyper offense pokemon are weak to rock

Makes it hard to have good resistances. Every team I make is ends up having 2-3 pokemon weak to rock.

It's as good a playstyle as you make it. Just because it hasn't gotten any attention doesn't mean that it isn't still good.

So, yes, it still can be if you try.

I actually have a question for the moderator.

Since the Azelf I possess has a horrendous IV spread (because I do not know how to RNG) and I do not want to use it nor try to catch another one in a different game, would Magic Bounce Xatu be a half-way decent replacement as my dual screener?

In terms of availability, a Xatu would be a "halfway decent" replacement. In addition, you could also try and get an Espeon instead.

Well I'm trying to build this team for a mix-tier tournament with kind of weird-ish settings. Essentially, 2 OU and then anything else is fair game with all my Pokes being required to hold different items so I am essentially being as super creative as I can. My two OUs I have chosen are Haxorus and Scizor with Hax being my sweeper and Scizor being my mistake eraser with it's priority move.

    Then, yeah, use Xatu.

Is that the Xatu set or is that a recommended Azelf set? lol

For Xatu, I'm assuming it should be either a Jolly nature with Magic Bounce ability right?

Oops. I c/p'd the wrong thing

    /me kicks me

    Here is the Xatu one

    Xatu @ Leftovers
    Nature: Bold
    Trait: Magic Bounce
    EVs: 248 HP / 204 Def / 56 Spe
    *Reflect
    *Light Screen
    *U-turn
    *Tailwind

    It's all good lol.

Thanks for the help. This tournament I'm preparing for is making me be extra creative here. I like the Xatu set if I go Haxorus, but if I use Espeon then I will be forgoing Haxorus for maybe a Physical Sweeping Zoroark.

Just in case you are curious, the rest of my team is as follows:

    Staraptor @ Life Orb
    Jolly Nature
    Reckless
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/ 252 Spe
    *Roost
    *Brave Bird
    *Close Combat
    *Double-Edge

    Kingdra @ Lum Berry
    Jolly Nature
    Swift Swim
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/ 252 Spe
    *Outrage
    *Waterfall
    *Substitute
    *Dragon Dance

    Heracross @Leftovers
    Jolly Nature
    Guts
    EVs: 252 Atk/ 4 Def/ 252 Spe
    *Megahorn
    *Stone Edge
    *Close Combat
    *Swords Dance

And last, but certainly not least:
Scizor @ Expert Belt (I am being forced to get creative here since only one item can be used per team)
    Adamant Nature
    Technician
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 Def
    *Bug Bite
    *Brick Break
    *Bullet Punch
    *BSwords Dance

My lead Pokemon will probably force my sweeper to change, so if my lead is Xatu then my sweeper will be Haxorus. If my lead is Espeon, then I am deeming my Zoroark to be a sweeper.

I'm sorry but the style of hyper offense postulated in the OP doesn't work anymore. You'll be able to sweep noobs with ease but when you get high enough to battle people who have a clue what they're doing, you'll get crushed. People know how threatening these teams be thanks to how popular this playstle was in early BW1. People overprepare for it. After getting past 1500 or so points on showdown I found it near impossible to win thanks to the multitude of tems carrying things like Espeon, Multiple phazers, multiple perish song users etc.

You're much better off using copypsta non-dual screens teams.

from what i`ve seen on showdown/battles, only perish song user is toad, and most use specs, phazers are few and far between, and i cant remember the last time i fought and espeon or xatu. And 1500 isnt that high for showdown

I do have to say screen HO is hard to use now, with deoxys def leading most weatherless teams, hes a common choice. Screen HO is still usable, but you need to relay on espeon now. From experience latios/latias are excellent screen users because of their access to memento and their dragon typing. This makes it easier for you to set up your first sweeper.
I`ve noticed its harder to run a true HO team, while its easier now with tornadus gone, threats like keldeo and landorus i make it hard especially for physical HO that cant use lati@s, thus making gyarados and dragonite staples in physical HO, while celebi and latios staples for special HO.
Lastly its harder for physical HO to muscle through counters with a rain dominated metagame, hampering the fire moves needed to break steel threats.
