Wow, what a shame. I expected to see something with the regular blueish-dragonish color but that is just horrible, considering that many people wanted to see it's debut and when it is finally debuts, it gets a lame animation.

Dual Chop isn't really that special as it is just double K. Chop

I agree, but they could have added the some sort of blue glow to Fraxure hands to showcase it as a Dragon type move.

For me the most appropriate example for a lame animation of a move would be Power Gem used by Giovanni's Persian, which looked exactly like Hyper Beam.

What I learned from Pokemon and how I spent way too much time researching is that moves aren't always 100% like the games when it comes to design and power. So Dual Chop and Power Gem are exampled of moves that doesn't look like what they are in the games.

Why did Vaporeon use bubble beam. It hasn't been able to use that since gen 2. I hate when the writers do this.

I had no idea Oo, why would they make it not learn the move anymore?

Still animators being lazy imo, they have Piplup animation so they just used it, just like they had Corpish use it too and Buizel use Aqua Jet in the twins episode.

If its a writing choice I actually have no problem with it, its dumb to make a pokemon learn a move in one generation and then make it not learn it anymore in another in the first place.

I hadn't noticed that... what a fail. Why couldn't they just use Scald?

I like it when the writers do this, it actually shows that sometimes they do use common sense. If a Pokemon can use a move in a previous generation, it makes no sense to stop them using it in future. Gamefreak only do it so to not overload their movepools anyway, what with new moves constantly coming into play. Last thing they need is to have a list with hundreds of water moves available for Vaporeon, especially when a bunch of them have the same power.. so they remove and replace a few.

Anyway, it's perfectly possible to get a Vaporeon with Bubblebeam in your BW games with some transferring between games.
    OR Playthrough - Route 118

No it's not. It can only learn it in Gen I, and trading between Gen II and Gen III is impossible.

I always thought there was a way to do Gen II --> Gen III through some Gamecube game?

But anyway I'll drop this before Dreamcoat gets annoyed with the straying of this 'strictly moveset' topic..

Don't you watch the episode or pictures?

It was used in a flashback eisode, she used it to train with another boy in her school days, so its pokemon belonging to the school, a loan yes.
