It looks exactly the same as the last one with slightly improved graphics.

Mario Kart with console-level visuals on a handheld + stereoscopic 3D + silky smooth 60 FPS in both 2D and 3D + online = WHY DOES DECEMBER HAVE TO BE SO FAR AWAY.

I thought about preoordering it, decided that beating Bowser with a Tanooki Tail was more tempting, and thus, am going to try and get 7 for Christmas.

I just hope the online will be good.

It's looking really good, and I'm not a fan of the portable Mario Karts. I like that they kept the same online system as MKWii and the drifting. The character list is already pretty good (maining Rosalina and Mii again, Metal Mario and Lakitu are nice additions.), and the courses look good (Maple Treeway and Kalimari Desert are returning!)

I won't vote until I have the game in my hands.

Either way, I'm getting it. I need some good online multiplayer for my 3DS.

    Metal Mario should've been a power-up, not a character. :/

If this game doesn't havw Birdo then it's not worth getting.

So long as they bring back Funky Kong I'm set. Rosalina & Funky were me go-to karters in Wii (and Dry Bones). Ideally I'd like to see everyone from Wii return.

Metal Mario, at least ,does have experience as a separate character. "Boss" in SSB, SSBM, a playable character in Golf and I think a few other sports games, etc. I'm oddly excited to play as him for whatever reason.

I hope they bring back the Boo item. Steal another person's item and have temporary invisibilty, and inexistence (you can pass through people and be passed through[was unsure how else to word it])? Why did they get rid of it?
I have claimed Joltik. Deal with it.

You're getting streetpasses at a farmer's market. That's proof enough.

I swear, if they bring back that dang thunder cloud I'm gonna be ticked.

This game looks awesome though, I can't wait to get it, and retro studios is developing it which makes it even better.

Oh yeah I forgot retro is helping design some of the tracks.
I wonder if we'll get a tiki racer. Or maybe the checkpoint pig?

Retro isn't developing the game, merely contributing assets. Most likely for the lone DKCR track.

They're probably assisting in other tracks, but the one liveblog I found didn't detail specifics.
