Does Koopa Troopa + Red Monster + Bolt Buggy + Peach Parasol (Only glider I have apart from default) sound good?
EDIT: No-one going into the community? I'm waiting![]()

Frankly speaking, we need more people. It's beyond me what happened to all the talk this thread had before. But I suppose everyone else is busy with finals and stuff.
Until I see more activity with different users, I'll race with the community.

I just noticed my title got changed after a race in the Banana Crazy community.
From 'Banana Blitzer' to 'Model Driver', which is incredibly ironic since my race was a catastrophic Rainbow Road.
Like I said, the Bob-Omb Blast & Banana Crazy are p. fun. You should try 'em.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
I didn't get the Red Monster or Peach Parasol as my 3000 coin reward, goddammit![]()
Have any of you experienced problems when you put the 3Ds in sleep mode with mario kart 7 running?
I'll join y'all when I get the game. I know dad'll get it soon.
How do you find communites? Are they set up in lists?
You enter the community code in and it'll automatically find it and let you in. I'm sure someone around here could help you out. I had to sift through the most recent pages to find the code.
Anywho, got it this afternoon. Haven't gotten far in it. But I'm probably comfortable enough with the controls to start joining community matches. The only advantage you guys would have over me is knowledge of the shortcuts. I think I can live with that.
Stupid question: Do coins help you out outside of unlocking stuff? A friend was telling me that you can unlock items in-match if you get ten. I've seen no such feature.

Are you trying to rub it in?
Because I will brutalise you.
Uh maybe but you can still own me anyway.
I need help with good combinations that own. Also aren't lighter characters better in all way? They have higher Acceleration and their Speed is only a little lower. They also have lower weight which means more speed? So wouldn't a good speed kart with Red Monster wheels work well? It doesn't seem to with me >.<

Is there a Serebii community?

^ Yes we have 2 but we always race in one of them. Search on the forums "Mario Kart 7 Code Thread" and click on it. It should be in there.

The speed of the lightest characters is one whole 'point' lower than the heaviest characters. And no, the weight stat doesn't have any effect on speed.
Speed is pretty much the most important stat, which is why the heaviest characters are the worst at everything but speed and weight.
In normal races, the best character for you depends on how you play, and how important you find certain stats. In Time Trials, however, you'll really want to use heavy characters. Acceleration and off-road shouldn't matter at all, because there are no items, and when you lose speed, you should restart regardless of what character and kart you have.
Also, has anyone actually noticed any difference between low and high handling stats? I switched to a kart and character with much lower handling a while ago, and I didn't notice the 'bad' handling.
