    Yes. Color does have an effect.

    My mii is usually green but I changed it to white (Find Mii purposes for a friend) and the pitch was noticeably higher.

    @JB: That sucks. I've lost 50 or so points before so I do think that it affects VR. Not sure what magnitude it does it at, but it's still a definite loss.

    Yeah, it's really annoying to have it drop by over 100 points. Factoring in item trolling it takes like 15 races just to make it back lol.

    Well I just got this game and I'm having a lot of fun.

    Just finished 50cc getting 3 stars each cup, and moving to 100cc. Any recommended kart part combinations for future races?

    Well, it seems that the stats in the game really don't matter as much now that Acceleration has been figured out.

    Acceleration works in increments of .75, 0.75-1.5, 1.75-2.5, 2.75-3.5, 3.75-4.5, 4.75-5.5 (5.75 and 6 can't be gotten in any stat in the game.) 2.75 accel is the same as having 3.5 accel.

    Level 1 Acceleration 0.75-1.5
    Level 2 Acceleration 1.75-2.5
    Level 3 Acceleration 2.75-3.5
    Level 4 Acceleration 3.75-4.5
    Level 5 Acceleration 4.75-5.5

    Other stats work in matter similar to this, though in speed every 0.25 makes you go a little faster.

    What I mean is that every 0.25 in a stat may not make a difference in a stat unless it is a 0.5, 0.75, or even a 1. Did you not read what I just said about Acceleration? If you want level 3 Acceleration you need only 2.75 in stead of like 3 or 3.25. Other stat may work in a similar way, like you may need only like 2.5 in Handling for level 2-3 Handling.

    Yeah, but why would you take the game that seriously.

    I just use Slicks/Bumble V/Ghastly Glider and that works fine for me.

    Despite the fact that the stat info is really competitive, It is useful, you know if you decide to become as competitive in MK as smogon is in pokemon. And in a game like this when you do that you suck practically all the fun out of it.

    Whats really bugging me is the waste of the glider option. Yeah it allows you to fly but, barely any good designs IMO and how they either alter 1 stat or the other, why could'nt they have mixed it up a bit and had each glider change a different stat instead of just two types of glider, acceleration or weight.
    The most Superior Snivy. Left, good time here though. I loved this place.

    There are actually 3 kinds of gliders. Here are the differences in gliders.

    Super Glider/Beastly Glider/Golden Glider
    + 0.25 Weight
    Air Speed: 6
    Air Handling: 0
    +0.5 Drift

    Swooper/Paraglider
    +0.25 Acceleration
    Air Speed: 3
    Air Handling: 2
    +0.5 Mini Turbo

    Peach Parasol/Flower Glider
    +0.25 Acceleration
    Air Speed: 0
    Air Handling: 4
    +0.5 Mini Turbo

    But Gliders really are lacking, they should of made each glider have different stats.

    So today I found out how to use the whole gyroscope thing. Man am I slow. If you play in first person view you can use the controls if you like and that's what I've been doing this whole time or at least I think that's what I've been doing. I thought the gyro controls would be unlocked if I beat mirror or something. Not many people use the phrase "I'll be using gyro controls!" so that's why I thought that. Ah silly me.

    Agreed. There's barely any stat difference with the gliders, and the designs aren't great. The Ghastly Glider is the only one I really like, but the Parafoil and Super Glider are all right.

    Peach Parasol is pretty nice too, but Flower just looks mismatched to me, so I always use other gliders.

    @XD Mewtwo I stand corrected, but my point still stands relatively stable, still would have wanted more types of glider. Also how much have you studied this game?

    I think I've settled on my favourite combo, that works for me anyway. Featherweight charater (usually koopa), Growlster, Mushroom tyres and any glider that looks cool
    (parafoil if I care about stats some days or golden glider if i care about style the other days.)
