I orignally joined to casually discuss pokemon, but I'm kind of at a loss now. I went to GPD and all the threads seem pretty generic. The threads that were somewhat interesting already have anything I was going to say posted a million times already. The Nintendo and Other Video Games sections seem pretty dead, clubs looks like a clusterfuck, and all the rest of the sections just seem bland. I feel like a bit of a lost soul at the moment. I don't know where to go.

What's the point in the staff contact section if the mod who infracted you is unwilling to respond, despite a general consensus that he/SHE is in the wrong?

It's just an infraction, right? They're not that big of a deal. Unless, you're like one infraction away from a permaban, it shouldn't be much concern. But if you're that close to a permaban, I'd imagine you don't care too much about a ban or the behavior would have been changed.

You'll just have to accept that not all of SPPf's mods are particularly... Well. I have plenty of things to say, but since I'm two points away from being banned, I've decided against it.

I got an infraction for informing another user that the person he was replying to was a (now banned) troll. Said troll has had multiple accounts in the past and posts only with the intent to annoy others. Why don't some mods know their sub-forums as well as the users themselves do?

Some mods just don't talk about it... which is their choice, even if it's a dumb one in the face of this apparent attempt at transparency. Then again, those in power really aren't usually willing to be transparent, either.

It's the principle as much as anything. The mod in question gave me a ten point infraction for something that was not even worthy of a five point infraction. In short, they are wrong. Multiple other mods have considered their approach and also deemed it wrong. Why then do I still have infraction points? Why is the mod in question too lazy and/or cowardly to defend their position? Why is a mod allowed to throw personal insults around as if they are nothing and then have the shamelessness to infract other people for doing exactly that (probably in a lesser sense to how he/she) did it. Why do we have a staff contact forum specifically for discussing infractions and the like if the mods in question don't actually address these attempts to contact them?

Throw the overreaction card in if you want, but I'm in the right. It's not a huge issue in the grand scheme of things, but I'm still right. I should not be held accountable for a mod's inability to read, and I should not to have to wait a month for an explanation. If you imply I'm homophobic, back it up.

And don't feel bad I have 3 pages of infractions, and 90% of them were stupid. :P
