EDIT: Oh yeah, technically I guess Jerichi also has a custom avatar (another ASB guy) and he's not a mod, though he does have a few mod powers.

Honestly I have no idea about the contest, I know Joe gave him one for rewriting certain sections on the site. Anything else I didn't pay attention and just tuned it out.

Well we don't so much as worship him as we are more amused at his antics than others due to the forum being innundated with complaining and whining most of the time.

The thing with 13 year olds is a lot of the time I just sort of consider them to be little kids when it comes to life experiences (wow that sounded a lot more conceited than I thought it did) so I don't really understand how a 17 year old would be able to relate to them. They're just so much different life wise and maturity wise.

So it's not really a "omg gross" thing for me rather than I don't understand how two people would do that.

Yeah, I currently know a 19 year old who's dating a 15 year old. I really thought it wouldn't work out, but they seem to be head over heels for each other and it's been over a year now, which surprised me. For whatever reason, it does still seem a little bit weird to me, though then I remember that my parents were 11 years apart, so that makes it seem not nearly as bad.

I just don't understand the attraction between somebody who is in their last year of highschool or in university, and somebody who is possibly still in middle school. I agree with pokemonsquared about the age gap. It seems less.. "strange" I guess when you get older. I.e. a 32 year old and a 37 year old together. But 13 and 18? Why?

It's like an 18 year old and their annoying little brother/sister. Why would you want to date their friends?

In my time here, I'd probably say it's the liberal end of the spectrum that earns that indictment more often, but you get it from both sides.

Not sure how you can say that since just one of the conservative posters comprises about half of the forum by volume. :P

Also regarding this whole age gap thing: if it's wider than 2 years and involves anyone younger than 15 it's just weird.
