I don't understand how you can be embarrassed over a video game. I mean it's your decision, and nobody has any good reason to judge you lol.
Also I wouldn't get a job in high school anyways unless you seriously need the money. That's my suggestion. I work, but it's only one day on the weekend each week and I'm working on completing my senior year with good marks.

You shouldn't let their judging get to you. Look at me, I'm twenty-two and I proudly marched right into Gamestop to pick up my Black version the day after it came out. The cashier didn't judge me, and the mom with her ten year-old son behind me didn't judge me either.
Just suck up your pride or whatever and ask your parents.![]()
If you can recognize they have no good reason to judge you then why do you let it (seemingly) bother you ?____?

tbh you're probably never even gonna see most of your "friends" when high school is over. My so called friends are either dead, in jail, partying 24/7 or went away to college. All other contact will be done through Facebook.
It's best not to make decisions based on what your high school friends think.
Since it's high school and all.
Damn it felt good to get out of there.

Well, generally speaking, most hobbies are kinda like that, in my opinion. "Too old?" Really?
My mom used to give me **** about it when I was, like, fourteen or something. LeafGreen was one of the very first games I bought with my own money. My response to my kvetching mom was basically "I don't make fun of you for still smoking at forty-five."
I do now, but that's not because of age.
