We 'worship' God, Jesus and all the saints. There is a lot of focus on the saints but always with relation to how they show an aspect of god ect... It's borderline Idolatry but some dogma makes it okay.

Catholics are more of worshiping God. It's a completely different spectrum from Christianity.

What mass is like: Intro, Reading 1, Reading 2, Gospel, Praise, Communion, end. If I remember correctly, I haven't been in 5 years. None of it was mentioned of "Jesus died for us", I honestly don't remember hearing that in a Catholic church. I've been baptized as a Catholic, and had my communion (which they said was the body of Christ and God). I almost got confirmed, but that's when I realized, they say money is a sin, yet you have to give them money in order to be apart of God.

I'm exploring more of Biblical theories, and thoroughly reading it.

Also once i really annoyed him (by accident) by putting my hand up to answer part of a sum which the question was 2x2 and i put my hand up he chose me and i said eight everyone laughed. he grumbled but got over it.

The church vs state topics were interesting, but apart from that I honestly just found it painfully boring.
To be quite honest I didn't have an actual class devoted to religion. What I did have was a comparison between Abrahamic religions throughout my social studies courses (I had a final essay as a compare and contrast. It was great.) In my Comparitive Civilizations courses there were also emphasis on religions so idk from what I've experienced it was fun.

Well I have to do that one class a week thing, but that's it. I wouldn't dream of taking it as an exam subject.

I love history. Some of the topics, especially Irish history, are sort of boring, but for the most part I enjoyed it. Science is all right, but I only really like physics. Biology is boring as hell and I hate chemistry. The only reason I liked science was because my teacher was lazy and we could just do whatever.

Technology (and history) were always my favourite.

Oh my god, confirmation masses are unbelievably depressing. Two and a half hours of the priest droning on and on about some crap nobody even cares about. It was hilarious at my sister's, when the priest asked all the kids to repeat after him for the pledge, nobody said a word because none of them were listening. Such an awkward silence.

At least there's the party, I guess.

Oh, well that actually sounds pretty interesting. Almost all of our course was based on Catholicism (bar the requirement to study another world religion) and some other stuff about morality and the importance of prayer. I've never written so much crap for an exam in my life.

(well, except for CSPE, but that's a whole different kettle of fish)

Catholics worship the entire trinity, although sometimes they may focus more on Jesus. Which, most if not all sects of Christianity focus more on Jesus. The reason for that being is that Jesus is the savior. They're supposed to be all equal in practice, but the reality is that it was Jesus that stepped down to mortal form, Jesus that paid for the sins of all mankind, and Jesus who associated himself with the lowest of the low despite being the most high. God the father has always been typically portrayed as the all powerful and perfect judge who's anger burns against his children for how wicked they are. Guess which will naturally appeal more?

I do know a lot about catholicism since I was baptized as a roman catholic but eh. I think it's more fun when you're comparing how creation stories use water as a representation of chaos . Just simple things like that, right? Or when you compare how Mesopotamians thought their gods were terrible and had to appease them, while Egyptians were constantly thanking their gods and keeping in the "balance of the world".

I was once kicked out of a Catholic Church, so I don't know if that revokes my membership or not

I never had my first communion ~oops~. It's funny because I'll have probably done everything else on that list (except confessing. No way in hell.) before I die.

That can't be true, otherwise there would be no Oakland Raiders fans on the internet.

That kid has it easy. I can't always tell gay people from a mile. It's really unhelpful when I travel: "219 gay people 'til Backlick Road."

Community college on my end. (Not a hugely great experience either, but I also moved from Chicago to the Illinois branch of Nowhere, Kansas...)

Travel with a large number of gay people and it'll make the trip faster.

I mean... I have no idea what's going on, but I'm pretty sure that kid managed to disconnect my brain for me.

Well studying religion at a public college is different if it's an academic approach. I just find that in some more religious parts of America public schools tend to blur the lines between academic approach and promoting religion.
