I echo Cenobitic. It's Minecraft, it can't get very scary. The very fact that a Minecraft creepypasta was ever written is a bit baffling.

For some reason I frequented the official Minecraft forums for a while, there are a lot of "OMG DO U TINK HEROBRINE IS REAL" threads there, made by people who saw something randomly generated that didn't look natural. The conclusion those people draw is "it must be the dead brother of the creator of the game".
