I don't mind halloween, i get to scare the poop outta ppl. As a matter of fact, I brought a mask with me today so that I can sit in my student center and do just that.

But here in louisville, kentucky, we get the first friday in may off yearly. Why? The oaks race, which is the derby for fillies (female horses). (Jsyk it's the kentucky derby, which takes place here the next day. It's the only time all year I watch horse racing, too.)

That's not sarcasm. Before today, I could honestly say that I had never heard of people lighting off fireworks for Halloween.

Unless they planned on using fireworks for some kind of prank....

Specially as we thought she was getting better. My mum says we'll wait till she's suffering again, then have her put down. Hopefully it won't return for a good while.

Really? There's fireworks going off here every year. It's probably the only time you hear them, except for New Years and a few other small occasions. It's not legal, but loads of people do it.
