It makes sense. I do the same, more or less. Hmmm, if I really had to compare PBX to one of his older LPs, I think A Sphere in the Heart of Silence would be the closest for me. And yeah, he put a link to a Walls and Doors download on his official site something like a couple of weeks before PBX's release date.

Yeah it sounds like an amalgamation of so many things, there are some moments that stand out because they are VERY familiar sounds, but they are buried deep in experimental music. Haha, sometimes I feel liking an artist this much kind of blinds me to his weaknesses, and takes away my ability to objectively analyze his music. Not complaining though.

Yeah, listening to it again, it sounds a lot more like A Sphere in the Heart of Silence than I remembered. I need to start deciphering some of the lyrics, though, because even though I still think it's thematically similar to To Record Only Water, but I could be, like, WAY wrong. Of course, I usually interpret themes too broadly, so maybe what I think of music doesn't really mean anything at all. Walls and Doors is freaking awesome, though; I'd better pick that up somewhere ASAP. And I don't know that you can really say that John Frusciante has any weaknesses, because he never seems to be going for anything beyond expressing himself, so it's hard to say, "Oh, well, he should've done that better," or something (unless you want to count his limited broad appeal as a weakness, but if people don't like it, they can just go straight to hell).

Oh, and I also got Ghost Trick and finished it over the weekend. You were right, it was a fantastic game (though I still prefer 999; I think it's my favorite game of all-time at this point). Do you (or anyone else who reads this) have any other brilliant game suggestions?

In other news, I could nab a minor in biology with just one more course next semester, but it has the school's genetics course as a prereq. Unfortunately, the one time genetics was offered during the time I've been a student at this school, it conflicted with a class that was mandatory for my major, so I couldn't get into it. If anyone has any tips for getting a stickler of a department body to waive prereqs for ambitious students, I'm all ears. =(

If your school is anything like mine, you should just go to the professor whose class you want to take and ask them for permission. I doubt they'll turn you down, unless it's the second of a two-semester course or something. And in my experience, there aren't really any biology classes that rely so much on a previous course that you wouldn't at least be able to add some studying of your own to keep pace.

With this rather unfortunate event making national news, the name Shania Gray comes to mind. Admittedly, I only heard about her because people compare her story to Amanda Todd's. How a young black girl who was raped and murdered isn't receiving as much attention as a young white girl who killed herself over bullying solely because of race. :T

I believe she could have stopped herself from everything straight from her boob flash. She did it on a chat room, its pretty obvious to a lot of people that she could have shut the damn computer down. Yet, she had to make a big deal about it. But in all seriousness, I more I think about it LA Noire might be one of the most underrated games of all time. Well, not really; because everyone who played it loved it, but I feel like not that many people played it. Idk man, it was nearly perfect, the story was plotgasmic, the graphics were sleek, the gameplay was pretty fun, and the game just sort of stays with you.
I'm probably doing a bad job of describing it, so you should go check out some trailers/reviews if you haven't yet; but I'm guessing you've probably already heard of it.

I played it and didn't like it at all, personally.
The idea was kinda cool, but it was pretty much just SPAM ACCUSE TO WIN. It was kinda bland, tbh.
The best part of the game was finding and driving the Reliant Robin. Best car. Other than that it just felt like GTA but you're playing a cop, so you can't punch hookers.
