Maybe if the length was cut in half. Instrumental pieces relying primarily on texture and atmosphere, such as this composition, get dull if they go on too long.

Of course the above is just my perception. I am sure the musicians felt that eight minutes was completely necessary to fully explore this particular soundscape.

Plus, I got into a huge fight with my dad the other day when he went off on a huge political rant and I made one comment he didn't agree with. He gets so riled up about politics so I keep my mouth shut 99% of the time but enough is enough already. Election season is the absolute worst.

I don't generally talk about politics because I don't like conflict and I know what I believe so why argue about it? But when I'm trying to enjoy my breakfast and he acts like only one political party is full of corrupt assholes, I get tired of hearing about it. Apparently I'm a "Goddamned liberal" because I don't agree with his stance on abortion and it's only because I go to a "Goddamned liberal school" (lol community college wat?), not because I'm an intelligent person who can decide for myself what I believe or anything.

Reason number five billion why I am so ready to get the hell out of this house.

I still sympathise with your situation, though. My cousin used to live in a household similar to the one you're explaining, and it was pretty heated up there.

I could discover the cure for cancer, aids and all the other terrible diseases out there and give it away for free.

The news would it as I was trying to undermine all the pharmaceutical companies and destroy the American economy. There would little to no mention on the fact that I just got rid of some of these most deadly and horrible diseases in the world.

its like, "when the **** did I say that?". I also wasnt to thrilled with the war in Iraq, does that mean I was cheering for the other side? No, I fully support our troops and make it a point to go out of my way to shake their hand and thank them, or buy them a drink or meal.

My ethics on the matter are questionable, but doesn't the pharmaceuticals industry deserve to be undermined? I consider medicine-for-profit on higher levels unethical, and medicine prices are going berserk. Unless they actually cost that much to produce (which is possible!) and profit per transaction is extremely small percentage-wise. Shouldn't helping people come first?

Our current political climate is too goddamned polarized in general. I'm a dirty lib and I'll admit to there being some good conservative principles and like the idea of fiscal conservancy where possible.
