So I just finished watching through all of Breaking Bad on Netflix. I now have to wait until November for the second half of season 5, the wait is too damn long!

I'll probably fill the void with a similar crime drama, might try out Dexter or Sons of Anarchy, both of which happen to be on Netflix also

The only times I've ever used a Master Ball in the last 5 years it was either because I was lazy (IIRC I used my Master Ball in Black on Reshiram because I was getting tired of SRing for it while I still had N and Ghetsis wanting to battle me) or because I was playing it safe (I used a Master Ball on a shiny Weezing in BW2 because it knew Explosion). I do not think anyone would blame me for the latter.

But yeah, I really don't need a Master Ball for anything, I can catch just about anything easily enough, even runners. A high level Wobbuffet (or as of 5th gen, anything else that knows Shadow Tag) works wonders against them.

Beldum is about the only Pokémon that I can excuse being caught in a Master Ball. Most other Pokémon with such a low catch rate do not lower their own HP every turn

If you can't capture that with a standard Poke Ball anyway, I don't see how you manage to do something truly difficult, like walk erect.

Yeah I agree. I think I tried soft resetting for a legendary once back in the day. I gave up after about 30 mins, which is equal to about 60-70 resets I think. Anyone who has enough patience to put up with waiting to catch a Pokémon that is only a different colour needs to be rewarded with something better. Some people claim to get into the 10,000's which is just absurd

A lot of them have better color schemes, so I don't mind catching them if they show up, but I don't actively search for them because that's just too much work. I do SR for nature and IVs, though, that's slightly less ridiculous (I don't usually SR for anything more than about 50 times or so).

One time, I did SR the Suicune on Rt. 25 in SoulSilver and it came out shiny on the third try (and the nature and IVs weren't bad either).

You're missing the point of what they're saying. Yeah, life is pretty long. But to most people, it's not enough time to accomplish all of the things they want to in life. By "too short" they mean it's "too limited".

I've been waiting 13 years now for the next turn of the millennium, and I'll probably die before it happens again. Yeah, life is too short, if that's what I want out of it.

Then again, if I lived until then, I'd be 1010. I'd probably be a rotted husk by that point.
