Animals really aren't capable of that sort of advanced thought. They can adapt to whatever sort of environment they're put in. Your logic may apply to animals from the wild, but most zoo animals were born in a zoo environment so they don't know any other life. They're perfectly happy with the space they're given. I've seen the animals at the zoo act perfectly normal. They go on with their lives as normal. If animals are unhappy, there are ways to spot that and I certainly didn't see any unhappy animals.

The entire purpose of zoos, besides providing entertainment, is to ensure that their animals are happy and properly cared for.

Well i understand that, i know from reading, that there are places such as the Zoo's as well as sanctuaries that proved homes to endangered animals, as well as rescued animals from captivity that probably never had a chance to learn how to live in the wild and depend on human interaction to play/eat/be loved ect.

That's perhaps true, but I have a safari park just a few miles away from home and it feels inherently better for the animals and viewers alike. I guess that sort of space just isn't available in urban areas where there's a great demand. At least people are interested enough to come and view the animals I suppose; and hopefully some of that interest eventually translates into conservation work both for captive animals and those in the wild.

Good luck with that. And make sure you dangle them in front of some people if you get them, since I'm pretty sure that a fair number of people would be envious of you.

Some selfish little children insist that Easter is another Christmas, so they get presents for it.
    Because they're spoiled.
