I haven't visited the Serebii debate forum in a while, but I'm pretty sure it can't be as bad as the one on another forum I'm on. There was just basically a nuclear meltdown yesterday, and more than a few people are pissed off.

Yeah, I saw it was his birthday on Facebook and realized I hadn't seen him online lately, so I asked his Ex if she knew what was up, then she drops that bomb on me. She wouldn't tell me exactly what happened, only that no one in our group talks to him anymore. It's kind of a weird feel.

Other than that, it's my little sister's 18th birthday as well, so I'm trying to see if I can afford to send her something.

About as little as usual. I made a really shitty diagram about a problem with the NES, which was incited by someone posting a picture of a variant on one of those "blow me" shirts* with an N64 cartridge on it -- which I've never had to blow air into so OOPS. Small stuff annoys me a lot, you see.

*Referring to shirts with a huge glyph of an NES cartridge on the front with the tagline/slogan "blow me" on it... which refers to blowing into the cartridges to "clear out dust." It actually moisturizes the contacts, allowing a better connection temporarily, but also speeding up the rotting of the contacts. At least in some cases, the need for a better connection is because of the contacts being bent due to the original US NES's design.

I'd ask if you couldn't just get something due to warranty, but this is Apple. If it costs more than ten cents* to get it fixed, then won't bother.

*Excluding shipping and handling and referring to how much they're paying an American worker for it, not for one of their Foxconn slaves.

opening that bastard is the hardest task I've ever done. It took 4 knives and a lot of awkward forcing in multiple directions to finally get the damn thing open. And yes, it does in fact cost more than your ten cents, but I am naive and need my mp3 player for those casual journeys.

However I did find a game in my cupboard today that I didn't even know I owned. So it isn't all tears in this household today.
