The lack of criticism directed to Obama over Benghazi is a disgrace.

It's only part of the reason Obama won though.

I'll pretty much agree, especially because this was ginned up as the most important election in some time.

Exactly. That, and Puerto Rico coming that much closer to gaining statehood is pretty exciting. Both sides have been pushing them for years to do it, so it's nearly in the bag.

On a more interesting note, Colorado and Washington legalized marijuana.
    o: Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.

But I'm very happy Obama won. We would have died if Romney got it. Douchebag.

Aha maybe the rest of the US will follow along, like we are doing with gay marriage.

My state is half way there, we have medical marijuana at least.

The UK isn't getting it any time soon. The PM is completely against the idea, but maybe with enough pressure for the typical American tag-along we get here, who knows.

    Don't you mean the "educated"?

I don't personally smoke it as I hate smokers and smoking in general with a passion. So if it were legal, I would probably drink it in tea or something. It's just that I still live with my parents and they'd go ape **** if they saw me doing anything like that. Also, the smell

No. People who think it's a horrible drug are not educated in the least lol.

Well in those two states you have to be 21 just like alcohol. And yeah the smell is pretty bad haha.

you mean people who call it a horrible drug are uneducated? you are a little hard to understand right there.

in all honesty it is horrible in the same respect as tobacco. It will cause cancer just like smoking cigarettes will. Comparing to other drugs however, no it is not so bad

It's isn't exactly the best one out there, or close to it.

Just the lesser of the evils when it comes to smoking.

Edited my post dear. Small mistake.

Cigarettes and alcohol are so much more life-threatening than marijuana, yet they are legal.. so why keep the green illegal?

Anyways, don't turn this into a debate, just wanted to make a simple post saying it's now legal in two states.

I've read studies that point out that marijuana can actually help stave off cancer, which means that, even if tobacco had no harmful effects on you than lung cancer, pot would still be safer.

No problem, wasnt bashing at all, I seriously was just having trouble understand and that could have easily have been my own brain

I wont argue with that. I was just making sure, for myself, that you weren't all "there is absolutely nothing wrong with it" type of person, I know a few and they are the uneducated ones

I agree, that debate would go no where...lol!

Don't forget, that if it were actually legal, it wouldn't have all this gunk that dealers throw in it at the moment, making it even healthier. And smoking isn't even the only way to consume it - it can be dissolved into drinks and cooked with food. It's also at loss for the taxpayer, as they must lose so much money through cannabis trades, arrests, and that sort.

On the other hand, I suppose that it does make people lazy. I do know a few people who regularly smoke this stuff, and they don't really do anything with their lives.

I'd have to go find them again -- I found them, I think, two years ago. They may also be kind of out of date, as a result. I'll drop them in when I find them again.

Oh, of course. I think it could unburden the government in a financial way in some areas -- i.e. fewer people in prison because of smoking a doobie, taxes collected off it, etc. -- hopefully it would actually help in that area.
