I helped “run” a forum for 75 people once. I got bored so never went back.

I believe EternalSword7 took your post too literally, taking "at this rate" to mean that each day, the number of members on Gladys' forum will double.

I have no idea what's going on anymore. @_@

Which, coincidentally, is also my grandma's reaction every time she tries to use a computer.

With no offense to Profesco intended, tough guy is something I could never see him as.

There's just so much truth behind this statement. It should be the new thread title. Mods get on it ASAP.

One of my favorite sites posted up this article today. What really makes this article notable, I think, is the fact that it gives advice on situations we've all been in at some point in time.

Speaking for myself, I've put my foot in my mouth plenty of times and been forced to bullshit my way though the day.

Definitely a good read, especially the point about observation. I've come in contact with a lot of people who are too busy with themselves to stop and watch what other people are doing. A lot of the skills I've been praised on were simply obtained by watching others fail or succeed and tweak their own methods to suit myself. Not to mention, paying attention to what others need from the position you're in (whatever that is) makes everyone else like working with you when you're conscious of their needs.

I didn't realize that making personal forums was such a popular pasttime around here.

Who doesn't want to be King/Queen of their own domain?

I don't, for one. That's a lot of responsibility, and you inevitably end up with a cadre of upstarts who want to overthrow you because they feel slighted somehow. It's more trouble than it's worth.

That's why I have a website. I literally own the domain.

    Boom.

That's not the real reason, of course. But for the purposes of this conversation, sure.

On an unrelated note, fresh--still warm--brownies are pretty much the best thing ever.

If that's true, where is the cadre of upstarts who want to overthrow Joe?

Insted of automatic guns, everyone should be forced to use muskets.

Oh hohoh, I can see it now.

Oh the taste of revenge is like an apple. Deliciously bittersweet but if we're too gluttonous, we'll eat its poisonous seeds.

After meditation and brushing my teeth, I'm curled up in bed with my 3DS right now.
