Indie isn't really my thing but I have gotten into some of the OG indie bands. The Smiths, The Cure, The Stone Roses, and The Shins. I got into all of these bands through my older sister, who I swear is the poster child for IRL hipster kitten.

Edit: And I forgot all about Cursive too. Another great band.

We're both changing our ways, taking different roads.

Mostly some older U.S. indie bands, but they're still pretty well regarded:

    Pavement: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoMdkyeZOqE

    Sebadoh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFniGEsV3Qs

    Guided By Voices: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zN9x6zckn18

    Dinosaur Jr: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQZmrdwK7YM

    Built To Spill: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6omZ5GsuGrI

    Superchunk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rRIMY3nHRg

    Archers of Loaf: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnIBB...eature=related

I am also going to second most of Molatanic's recommendations.

Ugh, I had blood work done before. I felt so sick afterwards. Maybe I shouldn't have looked while it was being drawn.

Still scared of needles, guys? Huh. I was in the hospital having some nose surgery a few years back and the nurse couldn't find a vein in my arm to put the IV drip in. It took around 15 tries and we were all just laughing about it.

I'm only scared of needles when it's a finger prick. There is no pain that is worse.

Okay, but before you go blaming me for you getting shorted, I'm going to point out that I swear Glass Eye had edited in $6000 in some context in his post, right before I posted (but after I had taken the quote). Or I was under the influence of some strong hallucinogens, but you can't blame me for that, either.

    Spinal tap is worse.

But yeah, those little clicky finger-jabbing dealies they use are worse than normal needles or IVs by a long shot. Why that is so and why they use them anyway will forever be a mystery.

It's not really that big of a conundrum. Leave it to doctors to be sadists.

Then what is your idea of interesting? If you want a conversation to be interesting, why not start one? It's not hard.

You're boring. Let's talk about my Facebook status instead.

"Okay. There was this really creepy doll in my closet that stared at me with its soulless doll eyes when I didn't close my closet door, so I remembered to last night. So. Just looked in there again. The doll has moved. I'm fairly sure nobody else was in my room today. Note that it "was" in my room and I have since chucked it into the garage. Also note that I'm posting this at 2:40 AM and will not be going to sleep tonight. Or any night ever again."

Well, I moved into this room a few weeks ago and we were using it for extra storage until then. I've just been extremely lazy in clearing out the closet because I just don't have that much stuff. I think it's from Germany (my mom's side of the family) and kind of expensive, so that's why we have it.

That is also why my dreams have been forever replaced with nightmares.

While my bedroom is now pretty much finished, there is a spare room in which my Step-Dad keeps his pet tarantula, so I refuse to go in there, meaning I have nowhere to store my boxes of books, letters from my brother etc. So I have no space to indulge in my so nerdy it would be considered nerdy here hobby.
