I've only beaten them 4-5times in white. Once to finish the game, beating Ghetsis. The other 3-4 times was to level up some Pokemon so they would evolve finishing my Pokedex, at least to 646/649.

I've noticed that it's much easier to grind on the nimbasa trainers than the E4 and I find battling the E4 to be a little more annoying than in previous generations.
