I've played through the whole thing and I felt bored the whole time. Granted that I was ten at the time and didn't really understand what was going on, but the point stands.

Are you a fan of turn based RPGs? Because that may be the reason why

Opinions, I can understand them. Also, how did we go from false fame and a Fairly Odd Parents reference to disliking someone who makes Let's Plays?

I don't like RPGs in general. But it was by Nintendo so I just had to get.

What exactly is a Let's Play anyway? Is it watching some person play a game while talking?

I really don't see the point of watching someone else play a game.

its helpful if your not sure what a game plays like but yeah, if you want to know that you might as well watch an ad for it.

It's entertaining at times. Here's a good example.

It's weird though. You said you didn't like it because you were 10 when you played it and didn't understand what was going on. I was ten and I understood it completely and I loved it

It's a great form of free advertising for the game, since you get to see the game play.

People have different skills when they are ten, however the Paper Mario series isn't exactly hard and easy for a newcomer to RPG to play.

Though it can hurt business of the game as well in case it does the reverse, not to mention that some companies don't like instant videos of something that can be spoiled if the game in question has been immediately published. The majority of those "Let's Playz" guys are very giddy people that can't be taken seriously, at least that's my opinion.

Funny commercial. Though I do have to say that any game related to Mario that was on the N64 had a hilarious commercial in the US even including the Smash Bros commercial.

Speaking of commercials, I'm actually excited to see how they would make Sticker Star's commercial when the game comes out. Have to say that it would probably be like how any other 3DS' game commercial is almost like how Uprising's commercial was and not including some boy band in it.

Besides, Still excited for Sticker Star any other way since that is going to be true blue RPG style like how the original and TYD was. Though I'm just more excited for the partners. Have to add that a Whomp or Mexican Shy Guy partner would be really great to see as a partner.

That's what we have been waiting for...

Which is why I don't bother reading his post.

Anyway I have decided not to buy Paper Mario: Sticker Star until I know if you actually get anything out of the battle or is it a big waste of time.

    lol

And same with blaze Boy. If there isn't no reward for battling, then theres no point in getting into a battle in the first place.
I haven't finished Paper Mario 2 yet, gonna try to finish that soon.

This game is really starting to worry me. If there is no reason to fight, it makes me wonder if they tried to just slap it in to give it the RPG battles that people wanted in SPM.

Guys I think the point of battling is to fulfill certain missions and get certain HP+/Attack+ stickers. Like NPC's will be like "kill 10 Goomba's, I'll give you a HP+ Sticker".

I think they know what they're doing. The only thing that's worrying me is the lack of an overworld (IT'S A FREAKING MAP!!!!!) and a mehish storyline. It just doesn't feel Paper Marioy to me.

I still think that isnt a great reason for battle system, we can buy stickers and find them literally everywhere, so it will only be for some progression. Plus we also get stickers from NPCs for doing non battle stuff.

Well you're the PM veteran not me.
The most Superior Snivy. Left, good time here though. I loved this place.

Agreed hopefully there will be a bigger motive to defeating enemies than just cash...unless, bar the odd rare time, you're not given any HP+/Attack+ stickers throughout the game and must buy your "level ups". Anyways, we'll see.

Tales did it and the dungeons in the series have been creative and inventive. As enemies on the over-world, something similar to the Hammer Bros. in Super Mario Bros. 3 would fashion. Again, we'll have to wait and see.

I'm gonna go ahead and bump this, before it gets closed. I haven't tried any paper mario games, I feel like it's unneccesary to have it in paper xD

It's more for the fact that its an RPG. The first 3 (inb SPM isn't a PM, lol) PMs didn't use the paper gimmick like sticker star seems to, anyway.
