Yeah I know, which is why I'm not discontent with the world map. In fact I prefer it, it makes it easier to travel. I just don't like how they're called World X-X. SPM at least called it Chapter X-X. Which makes me believe that chapters aren't in this game.
And at least those plots are kind of creative. This plot sounds like the beginning of a Super Mario Galaxy game
Mostly old stuff, just that now there's now a Paper Bowser Jr. and a Magikoopa miniboss

Pokemon Drama Island - Episode 3: The Amazing Rac- Oh Wait, Wrong Show. My popular story from FF.net has come to the forums! Joy!
34 Pokemon come arrive to an island to take part in a reality show that could get them rich and famous! However, can they survive the harsh gauntlet of challenges up ahead?
I haven't watched it yet so I'll edit this post with my thoughts
edit: Okay no words on the storyline, but the dialogue still is comedy and doesn't feel like zombies. I doubt we'll have a good plot, but oh well the rest of the game seems really fun. The whole sticker mechanic seems really in depth and actually a better combat system than previous paper mario games from the looks of it. I doubt this will be my favourite game since it lacks a good plto, plus classic Paper Mario stuff have been removed, but it looks like a fresh and fun game on its own.

I can't wait to get the new paper mario, however I'm kind of sad that there arent any partners D=
To be honest, I never really valued partners that much. It just felt like an extra attack with a variety of action commands. Yes it was cool to see what species they were, but they weren't too a big deal.
The sticker system on the other hand looks so much fun!

Eh...to be honest, I never really valued partners that much. It just felt like an extra attack with a variety of action commands. Yes it was cool to see what species they were and what their personalities were like, but they weren't too a big deal.
I'd rather have new partners. One of the very few things I didn't like about TTYD is that they didn't introduce any new enemy partners, just rehash of old ones, completely original stuff, or friendly creatures. The whole fun is you seeing that the majority of the species aren't bad, it's just the ones that work for Bowser are.
I'd love to have a Chain Chomp, baby Whomp, Magikoopa, and Shy Guy partner
Well, I tried it today when an expo I went to surprisingly had it available for play.
In short, any fears I had about the game are gone.
Spoiler:- game info:
The demo (with an invisible time limit - suddenly Mario will just die and end your session, haha) was the beginning of the game; one could get beyond the world map intro and into some battles. Gist is you start off helping some Toads who Bowser had stuck under Bowser stickers all over the town. Bowser junior appears a bit after leaving town and messes up stuff when you use a rare sticker (read: scissors) to beat him up in a battle (said sticker is the only way to beat him too, so very tutorial-y I imagine).
The dialogue and humour really is gold just like before. Graphics are slick and very easy on the eye, and Mario being able to hit stuff in four directions is neat. Puzzles straight off the bat aren't the easiest (it may take you a while to find all the toads, although mind you a lot of the solutions then were 'hit things with your hammer').
Battles are pretty akin to TTYD, happily, minus the stage. You can block attacks (not sure about countering perfectly), combo jumps and time hammer attacks, etc. Coins get given to you for defeating stuff which I guess is the 'exp' so to speak in that you'd be able to use that to buy better stickers. You do find yourself able to find a lot of stickers, and they can respawn in areas too, but a lot are just the basic sort (including 'worn out' ones), so I guess there would be incentive to do more battles after all to earn some cash when the battles get harder (I imagine). In short stickers are basically like the options for attacks in TTYD, just that rather than FP you have a limit to stickers (ie try not to run out of the good ones).
Always liked partners, but imo it is not too big a loss if everyone that follows you has the same level of characterisation as the crown pixel-like thing. She's kinda like goombella (down to giving you info about areas you are in when prompted), but ruder/sassier. And all the NPCs also have good personalities to them.
Wouldn't worry too much about plot either, the beginning is promising enough and I doubt it's going to be anything overly simple (ie see what RN said).
Also has release dates now! December 7th for Europe/Australia. \o/

I felt they offered variety to gameplay styles in each case, and moreso were just great characters that had their own story, motivation for helping you, etc, that adding to the story in full. What they are in the end doesn't bother me too much, but I guess in this case for battles they aren't so necessary, so to speak.
A parody of the Pokemon Colosseum game, full of pastries and Miror B.
Completed. Four times winner of Best Comedy/Funniest Fic.
