99% of the time, it's not going to be "incredibly hidden," because of the fact that the item you're looking for is a 3D item in a world filled with otherwise 2D items. They tend to stick out.

So I take it nobody has talked about the music in the game yet before it releases tomorrow? I know the most important gaming websites receive copies before they get released, but I haven't seen anything about the music.

DANG, the final boss music is glorious. I love the jazz in most of the tracks.

PM: SS... Well, I got it today.
I was real excited too. I've been playing Paper Mario since the first one, and I've loved them all, even when the gameplay changed in Super. But... well. I kept my ears virgin until today. I didn't want any spoilers. I wanted to experience everything first hand. And here's what I found.

I don't like Sticker Star.
I feel so underwhelmed by the game it hurts me to think about it. Keep in mind I'm only in the first world, but so far there hasn't been much to keep me interested.
The music is grating and does nothing to set the mood, I haven't met one character in the game that gives it any 'Oomph', the story is lackluster, and the fact that I have to collect each and every one of my attacks (or buy the ability to use them once) is probably the worst part.

You don't level up, and you don't get money for flat out beating an enemy it seems. You only get extra by using good action commands, and even then, you most likely only break even on what the sticker cost. And with the 100 or so coins you get for beating a level, random fights are completely pointless. I don't get anything out of them at all. usually I'll fight goombas for an hour to get a couple early levels in, and I still have fun. But now I have to keep track of what stickers I have and I don't even get to enjoy the thrill of leveling up.

If you want to use more than one sticker in the turn, you can... by using your coins to spin a lottery machine. The more coins you spend, the more likely you are to get a jackpot. It's far too random to care about in battle, and I found myself not wanting to waste my coins on a chance to do extra damage.

I'm going to try to bring myself to play this more, but for now, that's what I saw in it. I really wanted to like this game. I wanted too so much. But it feels like it wasn't made with any love what so ever. And that makes me sad.

How can you be that hard on the sticker mechanic

I've used the shop all of, like, twice. I always have more than enough stickers on hand and right now I'm drowning in coins to the point where the few times I have bought things I could have splurged on a full album and still had probably over 300 coins left over. A lot of the time you can probably end a battle in one to two stickers depending on the enemy load out and how good you are at action commands.
There's stickers everywhere and to me that really encourages exploring around the levels to get more while moving towards the goal.

The dialog is also great. Rescuing all those toads at the beginning was fun if only to read what they're saying.

Seems I won't be getting the game today, no one at walmart can find the game and they've been asked about it a lot today, and the Walmart in the closest town can't find it either, so I will have to wait a day or two til someone who knows where to find the new games comes to work at walmart.

My Wal-Mart didn't have it either yet GameStop did.

Alternatively, you could try downloading it from the eShop, but something tells me you...feel "punished" for taking that way.

I'm on world 2-3. I'm going to hold back on my opinion on the game because I wish to give one big hindsight review when I have beaten the game, but I do like exploring the areas. This is probably the widest game out of any paper mario games.

Also the Things don't stick with you once you've turned them into stickers, but you can buy them back.

The paper aspect in this game is really good this time. I like how they have variations of enemies just by changing their shape and attack styles.

So far, I just beat the first boss.

...Well, first real boss. Who's bright idea was it to give me an opponent with 90 health!? This is ridiculous.

I would have lost without the Scissors and Fan Stickers.

I'm pretty sure they wanted you to use those stickers in that fight. Kersti mentions it if the battle goes on for to long.

I have no idea what the right stickers are in world 2-5. All those murals make absolutely no sense to me.

What are the two stickers I need to use on the fifth floor?

EDIT: Never mind. The Toad holding the two empty spots needs to have two matching Toads that face the same direction as he is (feet facing left, head facing right). The answer for this being:

While it worked with the Soda, I think it might work for all of them, but I think you can find them in the same location, once you use the sticker.

I don't know if that's completely accurate or just applies to small thing stickers like the Soda.

Whenever I use a Thing sticker at all, I always have the opportunity to buy it back

My Gamestop didn't even get the game in yesterday, they said their shipment was delayed. I'm going to call them today and see if they got it in, and if they haven't I'll probably just go to another Gamestop in the area. Wow, what a kick to the face...
