Welcome to the Graphic Designer club! In this club, you can show off your graphic skills, from making user-bars to making banners, along with commenting on other people's work and talking about the latest trends and programs related to graphic designing. Professional, hobbyists and newbie designers are all welcome! Before joining, please read the rules, as they are important.
1. All SPPF rules apply.
2. Please don't insult anyone about their graphic skill.
3. Please don't make banners with inappropriate things in them.
4. Please keep on subject.
5. Please use proper grammar, and post as much as possible. If you only post one line but it is relevant, that is okay. No unnecessary one-liners, though.
6. Have fun! I don't want to seem strict with all of these rules.
This is art made specifically for the club. If you make anything for the club, post it in this thread and I will add it here as soon as possible. Putting any of this art in your signature is optional.

Occasionally, there will be small contests held among the members of the club. Participating is not mandatory but could be fun and good practice if you did. Once a contest is announced, you are to PM your contest entry to the host of the contest After the deadline, the host will set up a voting thread in the Digital Media forum. Please make sure that while you're joining that you do not watermark or sign your entries as the voting is anonymous to prevent member-bias voting.

The member list is updated! I welcome all of the new members. ^^
I made this banner recently. Most of my banners are fairly simple, but this one is probably the most simple.
Well, I thought adding loads of effects would ruin it, so... yeah.
Also, the spellchecker in Chrome says I spelt receive right...
I like the choice of image, however, as you said, its fairly simple. If you want to make it look really good, probably use a font like This and use light colors. Also, depending on what program you use, adding color palletes can be good, probably best in the background. I use GIMP and I dont have winzip, but I know these things doe exist and they can probably help in the future.
Everyone has one day left to send their contest entries!
I haven't received any more in the last two days so extending the contest was kinda unnecessary.
I've just got back from a plane flight that I almost missed to find that my computer was slower than a turtle. Thankfully all is fixed, but that's why I haven't sent it in yet, as much as I would like to.
