It is strange alright. The bookcases in the basement talk about scary Pokemon like Drowzee, Hypno, and Darkrai.

I just realised something about Litwick's Dex entry in B2/W2. It says: 'Its flame is usually out, but it starts shining when it absorbs life force from people or Pokémon.' So that means that essentially, whenever you use Litwick, there is a chance that it's slowly killing you, the other trainer, or any of the Pokemon used... O_O

So that is why my opponents go down faster when I was my Litwick against them......

Oh, and Lampent's BW2 dex entry says it waits at the Hospital for people to die. So imagine, your last few hours of living, and there a heap of Lampent ready to get your soul. Not so charming last memories :l

Arceus is great and everything, but some of his in-game content and mythos is really disturbing. It didn't help that the movie made him out to be a lot like the Old Testament God. It's not so much scary so much as it is unnerving. If it's any consolation, it's also because TVTropes made me view Arceus and his trio as eldritch abominations akin to Cthulhu.
