I'm really bored by the post game of Pokemon X. Like idek what to do now. I've basically been walking around and catching random things.

Wow, not much going on is there? I've been ill these past 2 days, and there're only a couple of posts? Wow.

Anyway, I've just beaten Viola in Y. Chesknight the Chespin beat Surskit, and Phoenix the Fletchling beat Vivillion. Happy days. Now I'll either use Flowerhead the Flabebe, or whatever the thing is which evolves into Aromatisse. Well, I'll probably restart with Froakie.

I'm off to try chaining and stuff for shinies. Route 8 I think, Chain Fishing for Clawitzer.

I'm trying to catch Gabites in the FS to make into a very strong Mega Garchomp (why did they make it even more Uber than it was .-.) what's the catch rate on these things?

Anyway what's the best way to check IVs?

Um, I don't know the catch rate but it shouldn't be that bad.

Guys, which of the megas do you think will be the most viable?

I think Mega Alakazam is gonna suck compared to normal Alakazam. No possibility of Focus Sash, no Life orb (and Normal Ala's SAtk with life orb is better than Mega Ala's unboosted), and no Magic Guard.

Mega Gengar is easily the best one though. Fairy counter, can now hit steels, incredible speed and SAtk, and Shadow Tag.

Mega Gengar is hard-countered by Bulletproof Chesnaught.

And the draw of Mega Alakazam is it's Spd.

True...But if Mega Gengar is going to be as prominent as I expect, Chestnaught will be BL at least.

Ghost types... Power Up Punch is the worst nightmare with Mega Kangaskhan.

I don't think Mega Garchomp is very good- lowered speed means that there'll be more checks for it. You could say it has greater offenses now, but I think it needs the Speed to pull it off. Mega Mawile is just OP. Huge Power, huge Attack, 2 weaknesses, and priority moves? ***** please. Mega Scizor is OK, better at SD sets than normal Scizor due to better bulk, but CB sets are still fairly prominent. Mega Kangaskan is good, Mega Gengar is cool, apparently Speed Boost and Baton Pass are viable for Blaziken/Mega Blaziken, Mega Alakazam, Aggron, Tyranitar, Banette and possibly Manectric aren't very good competitively. Why waste a Mega slot for a wall (if Aggron), Tyranitar and Manectric are basically the same with slightly improved stats, but they lose something else. Banette sucks. Mega Venusaur/Blastoise/Gyarados/Pinsir/Aerodactyl/Absol/Abomasnow/Medicham/Gardevoir/Houndoom/Heracross/Ampharos I don't know. Wow that was a long list :P Charizard Y has a huge Rocks weakness, so as a weather starter isn't too good, but it could work. Charizard X + DD + Tough Claws + STAB Outrage = decimation, technically speaking. Mega Lucario is also meant to be OP (Adaptability CC + BP? Wow.) Mewtwo X/Y I don't know either.

Just made half a Rain team for Gen 6- Politoed, Goodra, Scizor and Azumarill. Politoed and Goodra have good synergy, tanking hits and dealing damage. Scizor beats the annoying Fairy Pokémon, and checks most Ice types and tanks Dragon hits. Azumarill then adds a Fairy type, which is good, and Water, which benefits from the Rain. Only type which concerns me a little is Ghost/Ground, but Water STAB should take care of Ground types. Mega Gengar though...

... can easily be sorted out (Kings Shield Aegislash, Disable Mega Gengar, etc.)- but then again, it's OP. I'd run Earthquake rather than Sucker Punch- most commonly used Ghost types are hit super effectively (bar normal Gengar, but who's running normal Gengar?). Anyway, is there a Mega Gengar check out there? Other than Bulletproof Chesnaught?

Rain isn't very viable in Gen6 anymore. Which sucks. I'll keep planning teams, as I do.
