Do you have a master ball? If Yes--> USE IT!
If no-> Try and do little damage then chuck ultra balls.

Use a strong pokemon, get its hp down to red, then put it to sleep, then use a weak pokemon to eat away at hp slowly, then chuck balls at it (i caught two regies with pokeballs no more than four tries, but maybe i just got lucky, i dunno...)

First, I save in front of them. then I bring the hp down to red, get it paralzed, and throw ultra balls

When I face Kyogre and Groudon, I save right in front of them first, and then I use a Master Ball on them. For Rayquaza I save in front of it, and then I use Swampert's non-Supereffective attacks until the HP was low enough to try and catch with Ultra Balls. Then I use a lot until Rayquaza is finally caught.

My personal strategy for catching Legendaries:

    •Save in front..
•Start battle, immediately throw a Quick ball (if possible).
•Proceed as normal until health is in the yellow or red.
•STATUS CONDITION TIME! Either Sleep or Paralysis.
•Spam Ultra Balls or whatever ones I might have on me that could help. (Dusk Balls FTW.)
•If that doesn't work, then just keep stalling for ages, or if the pokemon can use recover, repeat until in the yellow/red again.
    •Spam Timer Balls.

I don't usually have a Pokemon with False Swipe... .___.

♥~ I play Pokémon for enjoyment - I don't bother with EVs, I don't battle competitively, and I use my favourites. If any of this offends you, I'm sorry, but it's how I play. ~♥

    1. Make sure I have great or timer, not ultra balls on hand (I always seem to have better luck with Great Balls :P)
    2. Save in front of it.
    3. Knock it to red health.
    4. Status condition it.
    5. Catch it.

Smeargle, Spore, Swords Dance, False Swipe. Pretty simple.

    Get it to the red.

    Stack on staus conditions.

Throw Pokébals like crazy. Not great, ultra, master, timer, whatever the one balls. The so original pokeballs.

And THAT is how you get a Arceus in a pokéball.

Save before I battle them, paralize them, get them down to red energy bar, put them to sleep and use a Ultra Ball.

I always weaken it down very low health, and I if I can, get a status thats not burn or poison, because that knocks them out. I also save before it, then throw multiple Ultra balls. I only use my Master ball when it comes to the legend that runs and flees around during the game.

Usually, I put them at low health then I give them a negative status. After that, I get a powerful Pokemon out while I keep trying to capture the dang thing.

Save, weaken, ultra ball spam. I was usually to lazy to bring a status inducer, so that might have affected my catching time, but I always got it done eventually.

I weaken it until it's HP bar goes up to red. Then I just paralyze the Pokemon or put it to sleep.

Pokemazter's approach to catching Generation III Legendary Pokemon

    1. Play through Pokemon Emerald, do not catch a single legendary, do not use the Master Ball
    2. Beat the Emerald Elite Four
    3. Clone said Master Ball
    4. Happy hunting!

I generally use the same strategy with all the legendaries: Get it down to red, paralyze it, and throw ultra balls at it until I'm successful.

Spam Ultra Balls until I finally catch them.

    Unoriginal? Yes.

    Does it work? Yes.

Save before the battle and hope for the best.

If it's the post game legendary, eg. Latias, I use a Master Ball, but otherwise I just spam it with Ultra Balls after bringing it's health down to the very last and paralyze it or put it to sleep.

    1. Send out Parasect
    2. Spore
    3. False Swipe until 1 HP
    4. Toss Luxury/Ultra Ball (Depending on the pokemon)
    5. Use Spore when enemy wakes up
    6. Repeat 4-5 until caught

    Depends on my mood...

Lucky: LEEEEEEROY JENKINS and start spamming pokeballs regardless of stats
Smart: Paralysis, Red Bar, spam balls

I like to take the approach that every pokemon is unique, and therefore should require its own Pokeball to match its color and sheen.

Therefore, if it takes something like a Poke Ball or a Great Ball, I bring along something to wall it off, something to spam status and lower its stats, and something to get its HP down both swifty to get it low, and then a lower-level mon to get its HP down to "barely alive" level.

Then, I either paralyze it or keep putting it to sleep, and then start spamming the Pokeball(s) that match it, and hopefully that is the one I will eventually catch it in.

save.then lower there hp.use any move that may cause non damaging status problem(like sleep powder, thunder wave,etc.).then use ultra balls.when the battle gets longer, use timer ball.for roaming pokemon(pokemon that escapes at the battle)use master ball or put wobbuffet on your team.
