How about more bonus content than a single dungeon?

FF4DS overhauled the level up system and used Augments, adding several sidequests and making certain things that were useless in the original worth doing. The Mappingway sidequest encouraged and rewarded exploration. The game had a New Game + system, adding bosses that put even the FFIVA superbosses to shame.

    How about that?

Perhaps I think it's a good enough game to deserve more exposure to an audience that may not have the chance to play it on any other system?

    Fair enough, I can't say I wouldn't buy it since I don't have FF5.

FFXIII wasnt at all a bad storyline, but damn the game itself was the hardest ive ever played. Ive played 7,8,9,10,13 as to date and i cant believe they are making an online FF...

The Final Fantasy games that get all the credit are VI/VII and everything after. Any FF that came before counts as something of a neglected entry in its own right, I think.

Don't you know, apparently every Final Fantasy game besides those 2 completely suck and ruined the franchise.

Not only are those completely overrated, but it gets tiresome when people keep comparing everyone in the series to them and can't just enjoy a game on its own.

Might as well keep pushing out the same game with updated graphics at this point.

Yeah I don't really agree with the people who think only FFVI/VII are good, but I will say that I think the Final Fantasy series went downhill ever since Enix!

I have only played 4 and 13. 4 was a lot of fun...

    And so was 13.

I really liked 13 - yeah, it was linear, but how is that a BAD THING? If anything, it's better because you actually know where you're going, unlike in the older games where its easy to forget. In one of the classic ones, if you save on the world map and don't go on it for months, you're gonna have no bloody idea where to go, where as on 13 it's obvious where to go. I liked the characters, especially Sazh, he added a lot of comedy.

Okay, i'll admit the story is all over the place (but then again, so is the story in MOST Final Fantasies) and the battle and levelling systems are confusing at times, but those are my only nitpicks with what i think is a great game overall.

XIII-2 has a ridiculously good OST. Most people will probably hate it, but I love how experimental some of the songs are. XIII played it safe and went for typical post-VII JRPG shit.

XIII-2 Looks ridiculously good. I want the game badly but the Vita is only 22 days after that. Man its gonna be a tight budget for me to buy everything I want from 2012 gamewise.

The first half-hour is amazing. The game starts off with a bang, to say the least. And the cutscenes are neat because you can actually press buttons to effect how Lightning and Caius battle. This game does so many things right.

I actually really like Caius. It's obvious that they tried their best to top Sephiroth, and they may have succeeded. Kefka is still the best antagonist though.

OMG Where did you play it? I'm so jealous of you lol. XIII-2 is gonna be a great game I feel and I can't wait for it. I think I'll buy it the day it comes out.

I'm rather fond of VII, VIII, X, X-2, and XIII mostly because of the gameplay, music, character development and because they're only a few of the FF games I've played. I would like to try playing more of them

That ending... What the hell just happened? I thought this was Final Fantasy, not Shin Megami Tensei.

        Spoiler:- trollololol:

Hopefully it's not the true ending, though a lot of people are claiming that it is.

What how do these people even know? The game came out in Japan today/yesterday. You can't possibly finish the game in one or 2 days. Also wasn't there supposed to be multiple endings or something?

I seriously doubt what you are saying. Where do you even get all this news from anyways?

You can watch the ending yourself if you don't believe me. The crazy shit starts around 1:20:00.

I don't know where the heck people are getting the idea that that's the true ending from.

They specifically stated the ending you get would be based on how much of the game you explore and complete, and everyone who saw that ending only had at most a fourth of the 160 fragments you get from exploring the various time periods (Which are used to unlock new areas and time periods, which almost certainly play a part in keeping the so-called "true ending" from happening). Why would they show you the true ending for rushing through the game?

Also, it's most likely that the "To be continued" isn't hinting at another sequel, but is simply telling you to keep playing the game to get a different ending.

So far there have been two endings unlocked by people. One of them has no Lightning at all, and another one features Lightning. Besides that, the exact same events take place.

There's the New Game +, though, so maybe those endings will be different.

I don't think new game + has anything to do with it, as both of the players who I saw finish the game and get the bad ending still had over ten areas/time periods to explore, some of which were located in very unusual parts of the timeline     Spoiler:- spoiler:
    .

On a separate subject, the game is definitely a day one purchase for me. It fixes pretty much everything that bugged me about XIII, and I really look forward to playing around with the monster taming system.

The eight Paradox endings are out now. And lo and behold, Eternal Rest is the canon ending and a sequel to XIII-2 is basically confirmed. The person streaming XIII-2 has two more nodes to unlock before the "true ending" theory is debunked.
