I think I would also prefer if they remade games on the PS3 or Xbox rather than the DS. Although I'd look forward to a FF6 remake more than 7. FF7 was in 3D sort of and from games like Crisis Core you can sort of tell how they would make the game, whereas 6 was just sprites and so I think it would be more interesting. Not to mention it also has a great storyline.
For now though, I'm still struggling with Theatrhythm... lol! I just don't see how people do so well on some of the Ultimates and the higher level Chaos Shrine levels. Saying they are difficult is a huge understatement!

Platinum fan returns to this thread more FF hungry then ever. Having fully completed FFIX, well minus one little Moogle letter I forgot to deliver before disc 4, I am now looking for the next FF game to play. Since I only have VIII and X left it'll obviously be one of them I just can't decide on which one to play first. Since one is on the PS1 and the other a PS2 maybe I'll play them together at the same time XD I'm tempted to play IX again because I missed that one Moogle letter and I always drive for a near flawless/perfect game. So I am still hooked on Final Fantasy and now having completed my first one I shall move on to the next one and then the next one until I get sick of it which might not be for a very long time.
Pokemon Left version and Pokemon Right version. They are coming soon.

I love the Chocobo mini game. I always spend hours finding the maps and weapons.

The Chocobo mini-game is fun in short spurts. Sometimes, though, finding map spots isn't much fun. I think that's the only thing I ever ended up using a guide for in FF9.

FFX and VIII are actually two of my favourites from the entire series, so either choice will be fantastic! I would have said play VIII first because FFX is being remade for PS3/Vita with only a graphics update, but they haven't really announced anything other than they're going to do it. FFX would probably be my preference though, if you really get into all aspects of that game, you can easily clock 100+ hours on it.

Not using a guide much is why I missed a Moogle letter in the game before disc 4 where half the previous places are closed off. The Chocobo mini game was both interesting but immensly frustrating for me at times, especially when you first do it with how slow it is at digging up treasure. If I didn't want all the goodie treasures from the maps they bring I might have actually dropped the mini game, but I wanted everything the game had to offer because Platinum fan is greedy like that when it comes to RPG games so I stuck with it until I became semi decent at it and dug up all 24 of those darn maps. The rewards were worth it and traveling became easier with a multi colored Chocobo XD

My next one probably will be FFX. I think I'm a little more interested in X because it has that fantasy world look that IX has. But I probably will play VIII right along side it.

Just finished up the main story of XIII-2. I must say I enjoyed it a bit more than XIII, but only by a little, mostly because there is no Fang in XIII-2. The story gets a bit wild at the end and the ending really did throw me for a loop. But still, I really enjoyed the game and Lightning looks amazing in the game and I really wished I could have played as her more (I have played Requiem of the Goddess, and its basically only another Caius battle).

As for Lightning Returns, not much I can say other than I will most likely buy it.

If you do end up getting far in VIII, tell me what you think about Adel. Adel is one topic that will probably always remain a mystery, but she happens to be one of my favourite bosses for that particular reason.

It's been a while. Any news on Lightning Returns or a game that people would want to buy?

When it comes to ranking the FF games, FF7 starts the second half for me. FF4 and FF9 are probably the best of the entire series

Honestly I love FF Crystal Beaers even though msot despise the game. I tried FF 13 and really wanted to get into Since the charecters seem sweet and fun but the battle system made me hate the game

I'm not a huge Final Fantasy fan, but I've played about halfway through FFX, watched Youtube Let's Plays of FFVII, FFVII-Crisis Core, and FFX, and I'm currently playing through FFVI with the help of a walkthrough.

I've been at Final Fantasy VIII lately. Haven't finished it and while I am interested, the story, gameplay, and characters didn't grab me right off the bat like Final Fantasy IX did. Maybe I just prefer the fantasy world setting better then the futuristic world of VIII, though I have grown to like characters like Seifer, Selphie, and Rinoa. But I'm still at it and hope to complete it at some point. Then I will start playing FFX. Also I miss the jobs. There is no real party job in VIII unless you really make it. Everyone can learn everything so I don't feel the need to want to use everyone when I don't have to.

Apparently, it's Final Fantasy: All the Bravest -- someone dug around in the source.

I was going to be snarky and say, "Square-Enix is teasing something? iOS port confirmed," without actually looking into it at all, but now you've gone and ruined it.

Final Fantasy: All The Bravest. It's for iOS, so it's instantly garbage. It's probably a retro game (aka lazy low-cost effort to rob iOS gamers blind) like Dimensions.

Square Enix isn't doing a very good job of keeping Final Fantasy fans happy, between iOS, Lightning, and Versus.

Square Enix still being bad at whatever they do? That's not news these days.
