As for the transfer stuff, do you have a working Gamecube still, and do you still play Gamecube games? If you answered yes to the first one, you don't need to keep your Wii, but if your answers, like mine, were "No and yes" you need to hold onto your Wii to play Melee, Pokemon: XD, Wind Waker, etc.

I reserved both wii U and AC 3 way back when and just saw on the receipt it says AC 3 11-13. I know they hold reserves for 48 hours so does that mean I have until 13-15th for AC 3 or will they hold it till the Wii U launches? Not sure if it is sepreate rules for launch title games
I'm pretty sure the demand for a game you can't even play won't be big enough that they won't be able to hold onto a few copies until the 18th.
However, with that said, rather than asking us, who can give you an educated guess but not a definitive answer, perhaps you'd be better served calling the store and asking.
This goes for all of you planning on asking similar questions over the next week and a half: don't ask here. Call your store.
I can't see why the rules would change. YUou'd still only have 48 hours. It's a game being released, just because the console isn't out yet doesn't change the rules.
In the news, Miyamoto has been poking around at other game companies.
3DS-Wii U connectivity, anyone? Pokemon's a given but I'm hoping for Four Swords and Crystal Chronicles on the virtual console as the system only supports 2 pads at a time.
Argh the trade in prices for Wii's are terrible near me, at most I can get 17% of what I originally paid for it. Guess I'll have to wait a while before I'll be able to buy a Wii U (If I do).
The most Superior Snivy. Left, good time here though. I loved this place.
