Pluto confidentially proceeded into the room, while Codi balked at the sight that awaited them. Alli had entered behind Codi, and cautiously peaked out from behind him. The bedroom was in a shabby state compared to the glorious days long since pass. Sitting center was a canopied, queen-sized bed. It was cupped into place by two end tables, with lighting placed on the wall above them. Parallel to the bed stood a large, wooden wardrobe, equipped with an ancient television set. Next to the bureau, a dim window filtered a foggy, purplish light down on a desk. Back when the hotel was still functional, the room would of would of reflected the elegance of the establishment. Now under a thick layer of dust, the room only held tattered sheets and rotting wooden equipment.
Alli turned, and on her left was a wall switch that activated the ceiling light above. To her right was a doorway that probably lead into a water closet. The blazing light from the hallway illuminated the room with assistance from the murky-purple light that oozed in from the window. What had halted Codi in his advancement was the presents of four more glowing fire balls. The light reflecting off of them helped expose the room even more so. The flickering flames danced about the old bedroom, intertwining with each other in a bizarre ritual. Alli's eyes grew wide as she found herself again entranced. Stepping out from behind Codi, she joined the fireballs in their little game. Codi reached out for his trainer, but just missed her shoulder. When she joined the fireballs, he stood back in fear, and refused to approached.
"Psst, Little Bun," he whispered out desperately. Alli did not response, and continued to prance about with the glowing blue lights. Codi followed them about the room, while retaining some distance in a pathetic attempt to get his trainer's attention. "How about some help, Plu?" Pluto took a quick glance at his trainer, and as he did not find her in any danger, looked away. "Pluto!" Pluto was not listening, but was instead down on all fours, sniffing about the room. Codi looked from him to Alli in an exasperated motion. Pluto paid no heed, and instead continued to follow the scent trail as it lead him under the bed. There was a loud shriek, followed by a scuffling sound and Pluto reemerged entangled with another Pokemon. This attracted Alli's attention for a fleeting moment as she and Codi remained fixated on the brawl as the two Pokemon broke free of one another. The culprit was a red fox Pokemon, who stood offensively, ready for battle. Alli barely had enough time to fish her Pokedex out of her pocket.
Vulpix. The Fox Pokemon. Fire Type.
"Pluto! Try using fake out on it!" Alli shoved her Pokedex back into her overalls as another blue orb floated pass her head, grabbing her attention. She began to again follow it wordlessly. Pluto turned towards Codi, and pointed to their trainer.
"Oh, no way! I'm not going to-" Pluto was in no state to argue, and twisted around while remaining locked on the Vulpix. The fox Pokemon spread out its tails aggressively. Codi grumbled as he scooted over towards Alli. She was completely enveloped by the glowing orbs, which covered her like a shield. The strange dance they were commenced in made her even more difficult to catch. Assuming that covering her eyes would somehow break the spell, Codi attempted to reach in while avoiding the fireballs. "If I get burned from this, you're never going to hear the end of it," whimpered Codi as he reached in to cover his trainer's face.
Pluto and the Vulpix continued to stair each other down, as Pluto dived towards it in a fake out attack.
