    Default Echo of Time (PG-13/Non-Pokemon)

    [Banner coming soon; soon being later today!]

    Hello ladies and gentlemen. We have all six slots officially filled. This was a rather quick set-up!

    Anyway, to keep things as simple and interactive as I possibly can; I was thinking I add in-depth character/NPC sheets (drawings included, courtesy of yours truly ) in our discussion thread for those of you that care to really jump into the mythology of things. Once we begin jumping into fictional worlds I will also provide in-depth descriptions of settings; again all of this information will be available to you in our discussion thread, I figure this way the RP thread itself does not become confusing.

    Please do let me know what you guys think but not here (in our discussion thread please) I will edit this part out as soon as I get input from you.

    Day One
    ______________________________

    It is late at night, sometime between 10 and 2 in the morning. You are somewhere in the city minding your own business, perhaps asleep or recklessly playing video games when a beam of light, out of nowhere, slams you in the chest. Pow! Just like that and no one around you seems to notice, that’s if, anyone is around you; of course. If you’re alone, congratulations, you have no life! No but seriously, go make friends.

    You excuse yourself from company (in any “cordial” way you’d like, have fun with it) should you be around someone.

    So why did you suddenly leave your friends hanging? You see, when the beam of light hit you, you began feeling…not yourself.
    Suddenly, now that you’re alone (or if you were alone to begin with), you begin to feel a tremendous energy flowing through your whole body almost shaking the core of your soul. You then faint. Yep, you faint or if you were asleep you wake up from the shock and then faint! Ha! That’s not all though. Oh no, no, no… While unconscious, you have a dream. In this dream a beautiful young woman in a dress made of light appears before you. She has long dark hair reaching her lower back, hair almost as black as the night itself. She has smooth porcelain skin that seems to glow with radiance. Sorrowful blue eyes adorn her young luminous face. She is a being so majestic that even her stunning red lips seem to sparkle. The lady explains how evil looms and everything you know is in peril. She tells you how you must reach into your pure heart and find the courage necessary to restore the light. When you find your courage it will manifest as one of the sacred weapons created by the light to combat evil. Go forth chosen Guardian of Light, for the light chose you with the purest heart!

    The dream is extremely surreal and difficult to remember the next morning. In fact, you wake up wherever it is you normally sleep (hopefully a bed you bum, you!) and you have vague recollections of your dream but no specific details. You cannot really remember much, oh well, no matter, it is morning and almost time for school. There’s no time for remembering silly dreams!
    ____________________________

    What you can do (Day one):
    -You may live in any of the districts (Chevalier, Arcadia, Zuri, downtown or even industrial if you can make it work, and no, a hut out in the middle of a factory does not constitute as ‘making it work’) but you must attend New Arc Preparatory
    -You may be anywhere in the city (be logical you obviously can’t be on top of a skyscraper antenna hanging from your underwear screaming for help)
    -You may interact with NPCs (friends, family, a dog, whatever)
    -You must end Day One (your first post) when you wake up the next day

    What you cannot do (Day one):
    -The woman in your dream will not reveal her name to you nor that of any specific enemies, it is a brief encounter!
    -You may not interact amongst yourselves just yet
    -You may not call forth you weapon just yet
    -You may not interact with Seya
    -You may not encounter any villains just yet

    I'm currently thinking I should post the cans and cant's in the discussion thread to keep the RP thread as clean and trimmed down as possible, what do you guys think?

    Diego Vendrix
    Wielder: Monkey Staff of Wisdom
    Day I- 11 PM

    Diego looked at his labtop and when the screen turned black, the final sign of it shutting down, he let out a sigh of relief. He was glad he was done with his homework. He yawned and stretched. He was in a white T-shirt and his dark-colored plaid pajama pants. He then felt something strange.

    He saw a beam of light hit him. It seem to come from the window. He was shocked. "What the..." Diego managed to say before he began feeling abnormal. He felt as if energy began flowing through him, all to the depth of himself. He lumbered to his bed before he fainted on it. He then had a most curious dream.

    Diego looked around. He was floating around until he felt... wheat on the ground. Impossible... Diego said as he looked up into the sky and around. This was a place that only existed in his head. The Forest of Dreams. The sky was a piercing icy blue. The sun was a pure white. The grass was of soft gray silk. The trees around them were made of black smooth stone with geometric patterns lines flowing through them like veins. Beautiful shards of glass made up the leaves.

    Wait... around them?

    Diego turned around and saw a beautiful sight. It was a beautiful young woman. She had long dark hair reaching her lower back, hair almost as black as the night itself. She has smooth porcelain skin that seems to glow with radiance. Sorrowful blue eyes adorn her young luminous face. She had a dress of light and she seemed to simmer because of her radiance and majesty. Diego was dumfounded. He rarely dreamed and they were not as real as this was.

    She walked to him with such grace and dignity Diego though she was of royalty. "What is going on?" Diego asked as she approached him. Diego saw in her eyes there was sorrow and worry. He felt something was wrong.

    "The world is in danger," she said. Diego remained quiet. His instinct told him to listen to her. "A great evil is rising and the lives of all are being held in peril. Because of that, I began searching for individuals. Individuals who were pure of heart and have great potential," she said as she face him once more. Diego Vendirx opened his mouth to say something, but she placed her finger on it to keep from saying. "I looked into your heart. You are troubled by the darkness left from your history. However, you are one of the kindest individuals and I know you can beat him," she said. Diego paled. She knew about DX? Even DX himself looked at this woman with shock.

    Diego looked at the woman. He didn't know what to do. But... he felt she was speaking the truth. She looked at him and saw something else in her eyes.

    Determination.

    "When you find your courage it will manifest as one of the sacred weapons created by the light to combat evil. Go forth chosen Guardian of Light, for the light chose you with the purest heart!" she said to him.

    Diego looked at her before he gave a smile and a nod. A spark of determination was in his eyes. She walked to him and in a surprising move, she gave him a hug. He flinched before he relaxed.

    "Everything will be all right," she said. Diego's eyes were closing and he hugged back. He felt a great warmth.

    Diego woke up out of his bed. He felt great, as if the best sleep of his life. Despite that, he was in thought. He remembered having a vivid dream, but that is just about it. He has vague recollections, but nothing else. However, he felt determined and comforted. He smiled as he began preparing for the day of school.

    Jessica Winton
    Wielder of the Black Dragon Sword
    Day 1 - 11:00PM

    Jessica Winton could usually be found reading a classical book of some sort, whether it was a great novel by Charles Dickens, for example Great Expectations, or a newer, more gothic book, such as Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. It was quite uncommon for students of New Arc Preparatory to be reading such books in their own free time, unless it was a class assignment, but Jessica actually enjoyed reading classical books like these, unlike others, and she tended to read them whenever she could.

    But this time, it was not a classical novel in her hands; instead, she was reading a manga.

    Not that she had ever wanted to read a manga in the first place, no. It was a stupid piece of Art homework. She had to read at least one manga, so that she could get an idea of how to draw manga and how to picture the characters. Yep, that's right, one of the topics she had to do in Art was drawing manga characters and the like. Others were absolutely delighted. Jessica thought the very idea was ridiculous. Though she didn't mind reading manga - she didn't mind any kind of books at all, really, and manga could be considered books - but drawing manga characters in Art? That was one of the many reason she hated Art.

    All of a sudden, a shining beam of light burst through her bedroom window, and it smashed straight into Jessica's chest, who was completely caught unawares; and the next thing she knew, she was in a dream-like state, and a woman was standing in front of her, light radiating from her very body.

    The woman as extremely beautiful, even to Jessica's uneasily impressed eyes; her hair was the colour of the night itself, and reached her lower back in long locks, and her skin looked as if it was smooth as marble. Her sparkling blue eyes looked sorrowful yet determined, and her lips were a stunning shade of red, glimmering in the light. Jessica soon realised where all the light was coming from, as she caught sight of her long, silky dress, which was actually made out of light itself, and nothing else.

    "Chosen Guardian of Light, evil now looms over this world," the lady said in a soft yet majestic and determined voice. "Everything you know lies in peril."

    Holy moly what? Jessica thought.

    "You must reach into your heart of pureness, and find the courage necessary to restore the light, which will then manifest as one of the sacred weapons created by light to combat evil," the mysterious lady continued, while Jessica stared at her, dumbstruck and lost for words. "Go forth, O chosen Guardian of Light, for the light chose you with the purest heart!"

    "W-wait," Jessica stuttered, her courage all but gone. "H-how do you know my n-name? And w-what do you mean by r-reaching into my h-heart -" However, Jessica was cut off by the mysterious lady of light, who floated over to her and put a finger against Jessica's mouth. And with that, she disappeared into the darkness...

    Jessica woke up with a start. She was in her bed - one of those beds where the bed was high up, with some shelves and a studying desk as well as a chair underneath - with the manga she'd been reading the night before on the same couch she was sitting on when this beam of light slammed into her chest. How did I end up here? Jessica asked herself in her head. She also remembered dreaming about something, though she wasn't exactly sure what... it was extremely surreal... a beautiful lady... Guardian of Light... heart of pureness... sacred weapon...

    But there was no time for recollecting extremely surreal dreams right now. Jessica had to get ready for school.

    Day 1
    School gym

    Today is my day, or was my day. I was about to do what I though was impossible 2 years ago, K.O. soon-to-be team captain Skylar. It was late, around 9:30 but they needed it for some club beforehand. I had nothing wrong with him but more like a passing of the torch. All I had to do was win and then I could gracefully accept role of head boxer in the club. at first it was going well, even tuckered him out in the third round. Eventually came the one moment were everything should have clicked, one nearly anything and I'm sure I would have won.

    That is until the cosmos quite literally struck me down...

    A beam of light "pierced me". It had no feeling but distracted for 5 seconds and a very well done left hook vanquished me. I saw everyones' collective looks as I got back up. Mainly confusion at what happened for said 5 seconds of shock on my face. It was painfully, not the injuries but the fact that I got distracted by that. As I got up they mobbed Skylar with cheer. I shock hands and quickly told him I had to treat a cut I got during the fight, I lied.
    truthfully whatever hit me was not naturally, a power shook every part of me. I went to the bathroom and fell unconscious.

    I was put into a place of pure light and the source of it seemed to be a... angel? Did I actually die? Well she was beautiful, cherry red lips and perfect blue eyes. Then she started speak "You may not know this but, everything that has any value is about to be obliterated by the forces of dark." "That is certainly interesting" I thought to myself.

    "You must reach into your pure heart and find the courage necessary to restore the light. When you find your courage it will manifest as one of the sacred weapons created by the light to combat evil. Go forth chosen Guardian of Light, for the light chose you with the purest heart!" she said before it grew dark again.

    Albatross Residence

    I woke to find my dad and Skylar, making sure he didn't kill me, in my room. I felt ok considering I had a good match last night and I got ready for school which brings us to now.

    Kessandra Andrews
    Wielder - Twin White Lion Gauntlets
    Day 1 - 2:00am

    Normally, she wouldn't be awake at this hour. The house was dark and quiet, darkness only pierced by the light of the moon, quiet only disrupted by her father snoring loudly.
    Kessandra Andrews wasn't sure why she was still awake.

    Hours before, she taken herself to bed, after a hard day of the usual. But she just couldn't fall asleep. The feeling that something was going to happen was strong. It wasn't a feeling she was used to, and it worried her. It kept her from falling asleep.

    She glanced out the window of her room. The district of Zuri was mostly silent; only a few people wandering it's streets, only a few lights twinkling in the houses. Although the district was never extremely active, it was never dead, either. Except, of course, at 2am in the morning.

    Then a beam of light shot across the sky. For a moment, Kessandra thought that a shooting star was heading towards her. Then it hit her square in the chest.

    It didn't hurt at all, Kessandra decided. She touched her chest hesitantly. No pain. None at all. And it had passed through her window as if the glass wasn't there. But something had changed. Kessandra wasn't sure what, but something had happened.

    Then she realized that her feeling that something was about to happen had gone. Vanished. That meant that she didn't feel restless. On the contrary. She now felt completely exhausted.

    She slumped back on her pillow, and fell asleep. She only remembered one dream.

    A young woman, seeming to shine with pure life, shining like a star, stood before her. Her beauty was shrouded by a sense of duty and evil looming. Almost as if her nearest thoughts gleaned outside.
    "Evil looms over this world." the woman began in a sweet, clear voice. "In order to defeat the looming evil, you must reach into your pure heart, and throw away your fear."

    Kessandra was startled. This woman knew of her fear. This is slightly creeping me out

    "You must find the courage neccesary to restore the light. When you find the courage deep inside you, it will manifest as sacred weapon, created by the light to combat evil." the woman continued.

    But I don't have a pure heart! Kessandra wanted to say. My heart is shrouded by the fear of being a fool. Unless that makes me pure. I kind of doubt that

    "Go forth, Chosen Guardian of Light!" the woman declared softly. "For the light chose you with the purest heart!"

    The dream flared with light, then went dark. All that remained was a soft echo. Face you fear...fear...fear

    Kessandra woke, and nearly cried out. But she held back, and instead bit her lip. The dream had startled and confused her. She had not a pure heart. She wasn't special.
    Was she?

    When she tried to remember the final echo of that sweet voice, she found the memory dimmed. She felt a slight rush of panic. She wanted to remember her dream. It was a strange thing, and she wanted to know what it meant.

    Then she remembered she had school. Maybe she could talk to someone about the weird dream then. Maybe. She somewhat doubted her clarity would hold out that long.

    Florina Bradley
    Day 1
    Wielder of the Blue Flame Tiger Bow
    Time: 12:32

    One of my so called friends was driving. I, being clean as can be, was completely drunk off soda. Ya, some party. I had homework that needed done, but, eh, I already knew the material. Tomorrow, a test in Physics; probably meant that I should have studied, but the ideas were easy and the equations were quick to memorize. I swear, why do they give out homework if some people already knew the material; it defeats the purpose.

    Anyway, here I am sitting in my friend Amelia's car while my leg vibrates like crazy, and my fingers thrum on the dashboard. I check the time and find that is just after 12:30 in the morning. Judging the fact that I had about, oh, three liters of highly caffeinated soda, I'd be awake for another two hours; half an hour of that time would be spent getting me home. We were about twenty miles from my home as Brandon's party was in the Zuri district. There was no one else on the road except for some far off car that was driving the opposite direction we were going. Amelia was quiet, a blessing as I was starting to develop a migraine. The window screen brightened considerably as that perceived car actually was nothing of the sort. My eyes grew in fear as the light went straight through the window and into me with a crushing, yet light if that was possible, force.

    I started breathing heavily as I thought that some idiot just crashed into us. At this point, Amelia started peeking over at me in rapid glances, as she had developed fears of her own.

    “Did you just see that?” I gasped.

    “See, what?” she questioned in return.

    “That, that light?”

    “Allll righty. I think someone had way too much caffeine tonight. Remind the next time I cart you home to be ready for your hallucinations, alright.”

    “B-but, you didn't. . . never mind. You're right. I need to lay off the caffeine for a while.”

    I realized then that through some sort of occurrence, I was the only one of the pair of us to have seen that light. I also realized that my headache was going away, and I was starting to feel reaaaally good and really sleepy.

    “He, uh, Amelia, could you get me home quickly. I don't want to fall asleep in your car and make you have to carry me inside. That would be embarrassing.”

    Laughing she turned to me for a moment, “How can you feel sleepy after all that . . . oh, I see. Wow, never heard of anyone getting sleepy after that much Mountain Dew. Ya, I'll step on it.”

    The rest of the ride went without incident. She got me to my house about ten to one in the morning. I thanked her, paid her about a hundred dollars I had in my purse, and ran inside to get to bed. I quickly undressed myself, put on my nightwear and quickly got in bed. No sooner had I done this, my eyes stopped shut, and I was off to sleep quicker than I could think about sleep. Whatever was in that Mountain Dew caused me to have some terrific dream as it went as such:

    I stood on nothing, surrounded by nothing, yet in front of me hovered a rather lovely looking lady. Dressed only in light, she had fair skin and long ebony hair. Her eyes shown as brightly as the light around her yet appeared dim as if something troubled her. I meant to ask this entity who she was, but she spoke first.

    “A terrible evil is manifesting itself, and your world and everything you hold dear is in danger. However there is hope; you have been chosen to stop it. You must reach into your pure heart and find the courage necessary to restore the light. When you find your courage it will manifest as one of the sacred weapons created by the light to combat evil. Go forth chosen Guardian of Light, for the light chose you with the purest heart!”

    The dream that I had found myself in and unable to speak started distorting and eventually, blackness was the only comfort I would find in sleep.

    - - -

    The following morning was quick to arrive. I woke up feeling refreshed. This was rather strange has I remembered that I had a headache some time before Amelia arrived here; I then remembered the light that only I saw, the blooming of some built up energy I had that rid my headache and “sobered” me up, and the quick sleep I had. I remembered that I had some dream of. . . something that I couldn't quite recollect. Eh, no matter; all that matters was that I felt refreshed and ready to tackle the day's events. Time to get ready for another boring day at school.

    Caroline "Carly" McNamara
    Wielder of the Valiant Hawk Scythe
    Day 1 - 1:00 AM

    Carly drank her last shot of vodka, spilling a bit on her black silk robe as she did. She placed the glass on her side table and looked down at the stain, sighing.

    Damn, hope this washes off easily.

    Somehow, she couldn't sleep no matter how she tried. The glass of liquor was her latest attempt of getting to sleep, yet she still found herself awake for some odd reason. She was to have a Math test the next day, ironically, her worst subject. She did not want to fail, she was already averaging a D, one wrong move and she would drop to an F.

    Carly blinked her eyes, trying to see if her lids were any heavier. No such luck, she was still wide awake, even if she thought that the alcohol was going to kick in. Just as she tried to get to sleep, a blinding flash of light materialized in front of her, making her cover both her eyes.

    "Guardian of Light!"

    "Wait, what?" Carly mumbled, sitting up. She thought she heard a voice, a feminine one, from what she could tell. Dropping her hands, she looked and saw a young woman standing before her.

    Said young woman was beautiful, lovely enough to turn Carly or any girl bisexual even. She had long, dark hair that nearly reached her waist, smooth porcelain skin and crystalline blue eyes. She had this otherworldy quality to her, as if she was some heavenly being or something.

    It's the alcohol, it's definitely the vodka...maybe I am going to sleep...

    No matter how Carly tried to brush it off though, the woman still stood there.

    Evil looms over, Guardian of Light, growing as time passes. However, you could stop this. Reach into your pure heart...find the courage...restore the light.

    Courage?

    Carly knew that she was a coward, a scaredy-cat, a former pyrophobe. Why would someone ask a coward for courage? She was convinced that she was hallucinating. Pinching herself to test her theory, the woman never disappeared from her sight.

    When you find your courage it will manifest as one of the sacred weapons created by the light to combat evil. Go forth chosen Guardian of Light, for the light chose you with the purest heart!

    Now Carly was even more confused. Weapon? More courage? However, darkness surrounded her before she could think straight.

    Even the fearful have courage in them...

    Darkness, no trace of light, just the faint sound of a whisper in the wind. Carly stirred, then sat up, finding herself in on her four-poster bed. Outside, the sun was just rising. Carly looked at her nightstand and noticed that there was no glass of vodka. She looked down at her robe and found no stain.

    Was it all...a dream?

    Carly tried to bursh off the question she asked herself, but could not seem to get her mind off it. It felt so real...the light, the woman, she still remembered it. Those words she spoke, about how even the most fearful could have courage...it all seemed too real to her. She could have sworn she remembered the woman's voice. As she undressed and took her bath to get ready for school, her mind kept wandering to the dream. Maybe she wasn't the only one?

    Quickly changing her clothes, she tried to get it off her mind, but somehow, it lingered.

    Day Two
    ____________
    The Guardians of Light had been chosen. The fate of the entire Web of Cosmos lay in the hands of six young individuals. When contact was made that previous night, a powerful connection was forged. The Guardians of Light now possessed, embedded within their souls, a fragment of Seya’s essence. Unbeknownst to the young chosen ones, the newfound Light in their hearts would be the key to awaken their true power.

    D2 - Revelations: Part 1
    Seya

    It was early morning; people began preparing for their daily routines, adults were readying for work and the youth for school. Seya was high above the ground, hovering with her majestic wings. It was just another busy morning to most people but for Seya it was a sight to behold. With an agenda already in mind, Seya approached New Arch Preparatory.

    Normally people would not take lightly the sight of a cat with wings of an angel; luckily Seya had a power to deal with just this issue. Under exposure to light (sunlight or even a well lit room) Seya had the power to blend into the light, effectively turning her invisible; however, in the darkness it was a completely different story. Under the darkness Seya was fully exposed and vulnerable. In this world, it sufficed for the day to turn to night for Seya to be left completely defenseless.

    As her form began blending into the light, The Princess of Light gracefully descended towards the school. “So many people and so full of life,” she said as the tip of her feet gently touched ground.

    Moments later, she was standing at the main gate, facing the school when a group of teenagers ran right past her from behind. She kept her eyes fixed on the group as they continued on their way towards the school buildings. Seya noticed the group of teenagers giggled, as if they teased, before dispersing into different buildings.

    Seya’s curiosity peaked. The more she saw the more questions she had. Seya stepped inside one of the buildings. There was a long hallway right in front of her and two long rows of classrooms on opposite ends. She then heard noises coming from the end of the hallway. Seya, even though invisible, cautiously walked across the hall to investigate the noise. She reached one of the classrooms way at the end and the noise became louder. The countless centuries spent imprisoning the most destructive force in the Web of Cosmos was not nearly enough to prepare Seya for what she witnessed next. Seya carefully hovered until her vision was level with the classroom door window and she peaked inside. Most of the teenagers inside the classroom were laughing. They seemed to be happy so Seya wondered why the man standing in front looked so displeased.

    Seya was enjoying herself so much watching the students that she almost forgot all about her situation. How wonderful it must be to laugh, to talk with a friend, to simply share with someone. Suddenly a sharp uneasy feeling rushed through Seya’s body; the sensation more than brought her back to reality. I can feel an evil presence! It’s faint but I can feel it somewhere in these very grounds. The possibility of a nearby enemy unnerved Seya. I cannot waste any more time, I must search for the Guardians of Light. She ran outside; slightly panicked, she looked in every possible direction. They’re nearby; I can feel the Light resonating. Seya then ran off to explore the school grounds in search of the legendary guardians...

    What you must do (D2 – Revelations: Part 1):
    -Get to school
    -Encounter Seya during the school day: You will all meet her at different points throughout the school day. You choose the circumstances under which you meet. Your post should end before Seya actually speaks to you. (I will introduce “myself” in a reply to each one of you in the order in which you post)

    What you can do (D2 – Revelations: Part 1):
    -Pretty much anything you’d do at school really
    -Attend any class you’d like
    -Interact with friends/teachers

    What you can’t do (D2 – Revelations: Part1):

    -You may not control the school principal/headmaster/dean/head-honcho whatever you want to call it
    -You may not encounter the “evil” presence, in fact you are totally unaware of it
    -You may not call forth your weapon
    -This is a fairly large school; you might have seen one another in some instance but you do not personally know each other; therefore, you may not interact with one another just yet.

    Jessica Winton
    Wielder of the Black Dragon Sword
    Day 2: Revelations - Part 1

    "Hey, Jess!" a boy about the same age as Jessica, though at least two inches taller, exclaimed across the hall. Jessica's face brightened up for a second as she recognised the voice to belong to her childhood best friend, Alex, but quickly faltered when she realised that he had called her Jessie.

    "Don't. Call. Me. Jessie!" Jessica yelled back, while Alex merely laughed.

    "It's so funny to see you get mad, Jess! Your face is, like, priceless!" Alex laughed, producing another sigh from Jessica. It took every cell of her body to keep her from whacking Alex with her school bag. God, why did he have to be so annoying? But then, most boys were annoying. She really didn't understand why some girls kept on flirting with them.

    "So, did you finish your manga? You were grumbling about it yesterday," Alex said, trying to start up a conversation, as the two of them made their way to their first lesson.

    "No, I somehow fell asleep in the middle of it," Jessica groaned, recalling the extremely surreal dream she had had that night. She was still trying to put the pieces together, and remembered hearing something about courage as well. Jessica thought about telling Alex about the beam of light and the dream, but thought against it.

    "Wow, I didn't know you were the type to fall asleep while reading books - well, manga," Alex replied, looking genuinely surprised. "So, how much did you read of it?"

    "Oh, um, I've only got like twenty more pages to go, you know," Jessica said breezily. "No need to worry. I'll just read it at break, or failing that at the Art lesson itself - the old hag's probably too dumb to realise, anyway." Jessica snorted as she remembered that time when everyone in the class - including herself - was either playing games on their mobiles or reading books while their Art teacher had been rambling on about some famous surreal artist called Chiciro or something like that.

    The rest of their journey was silent, and the two of them soon arrived at their first lesson, and took their seats. They were one of the last ones in, and the ones to enter afterwards would be late, as the bell rang just when the two of them sat down. "Close call," Alex whispered to Jessica. Jessica grinned back at him. The teacher entered half a minute later, a pile of paper in his arms, and their lesson began.

    The lesson was pretty boring; the teacher droned on about equations and algebra and other things related to those two topics. Jessica was already familiar to the subject, so she drifted away from her usual style of studying and tried to piece together what had happened in her dream. So far, she could remember seeing an extremely beautiful young lady, wearing a dress made out of light (if that was even possible), and she'd been talking about reaching into her heart of pureness and finding the courage needed to summon a weapon or something like that... A bunch of nonsense, really.

    Silently sighting, Jessica turned her head to look out of the window for a brief moment, and was about to turn her head back around and return to solving her equations when she spotted a cat with wings walking across the corridors.

    A cat.

    With wings.

    Wut.

    "Excuse me, I need to go to the restroom," Jessica said, and excusing herself, she rushed outside and tried to trace the footsteps of that winged cat. Thankfully, the cat hadn't gone too far, and was still pretty close by, just about to turn around the corner. Trying to muffle her footsteps, Jessica tiptoed over to the winged cat gingerly.

    "Hey, kitty kitty," Jessica murmured. The cat stopped in its tracks, and turned around.

    Day 2: revelations: part 1

    It was difficult to pinpoint why today was so odd. Maybe it would be the backlash from last nights loss from the rest, Skylar finally leaving the team, or the lucid dream while I was out, although I could only remember a few parts about it. Then again the light beam that hit me last night, did it have to do with anything or just imagination?

    Either way, I have to get to the last class right now and I'll sort it out later. Down the hall I got the occasional comment or they froze to mock me. I get in the room early, as usual, and talk to a friend of mine by the name of Phil.

    He wastes no time "What happened yesterday Darwin? I only caught the last round but what got your attention?" he asked

    "So you didn't see that huge light beam or whatever?" I countered, now confused.

    "What are you talking about, you froze for a few seconds and he got a punch on you to end the match" he said when the bell started to ring for class. The class got in order as
    the teacher entered the room.

    "Strange, so I was the only one to see it. I could have made it up in my head I guess." I thought.

    We had to do a simple essay today for creative writing, it had to be on why you would want to write for a living. I finished the 2 pages last but at least I know there was no spelling errors. The teacher asked me to take it to the office so they can hold them for her.

    The hallways were barren, maybe the occasional passerby but besides that it's a wasteland. The office was on the other side of the school essentially but I don't mind. I started to read the essays, I find it interesting to see how they wrote it out or lack of. I was about to turn a corner and finish the essay I was on when I hear a screech. I get surprised and drop the papers I have. I start picking up the papers when I see a white
    cat in the hall. The voice sounded a bit too human for a cat though.

    "Hello there, did I step on your tail? My bad, well let's see who you belong to." I was about to check for a collar when I see wings, they seemed to blend in on the snow colored fur . "Well that is certainly interesting..." I said completely baffled. Now if you are not delusional (which after two days I was thought becoming) then you would not expect a answer, although I got one anyway...

    Diego Vendrix
    Wielder: Monkey Staff of Wisdom
    Day II Relevations- Part I

    Diego Vendrix had walked into school. He had went to his locker and had gotten his material. It was just another day of school. However, the excitement from the morning didn't wear off. It was fortunate it was a slow day in his classes. Being in the advanced stuff, they tended to finish their stuff faster. Thus it finally caught up to them. Realizing that progressing further would mess up the schedule they were given a free day today.

    Diego spent is drawing.

    Normally, his drawings were nothing more than doodles. Quick sketches. However, he was working his butt off for this sketch. He was drawing faster and better than anyone has seen and he garnered some attention because of just how much sheer focus he put in. Eventually an hour passed before one of his classmates pointed out it was almost time to go.

    Like waking from a trance, Diego shook his head and looked at the drawing, His eyes widened. It was a beautiful young woman. She looked strangely familiar. Not only that, he drew in the Forest of Dreams... The scene looked so familiar...

    The bell rang and he was in the hall going to the next classroom. As he was there, he saw a cat. She looked up at him. Diego didn't think much of it. However, minutes into his next class, he realized he left his notebook outside the classroom. He excused himself and saw the notebook was near a window. The drawing was held by a cat... with wings.

    Diego rubbed his eyes before he approached her. "Uh, can I have my notebook back?" Diego asked her.

    If you have attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this in your sig.

    Kessandra Andrews
    Wielder of the Twin White Lion Gauntlets
    Day 2 - Revelations
    School

    It was a basically normal morning for Kessandra. Others laughing around her, having fun, some arguing at the top of their lungs. Even as she walked past, one teen pushed her 'boyfriend' into his friends.
    All in all, fairly normal for her.
    The only thing that felt different was Kess herself. She felt odd, like she was about to sneeze but didn't. It wasn't an unusual feeling - more, its origin was the unusual thing.

    She walked quickly to her locker, avoiding eye contact with others. She felt some stare as she walked past, knowing exactly who she was. 'Dopey', the 'Illiterate Moron'. That was what some of the older kids knew her as. It pained her to see people stare as she wandered past, minding her own business. It pained her to hear their mumblings.

    Of course, not all people were well mannered enough to whisper. Once, a guy had yelled "RUN AWAY, HERE COMES DOPEY" at the top of his lungs. He may have gotten detention afterwards, but that didn't help.

    Opening her locker hurriedly, she shoved the books she carried inside. No need to dwell on what couldn’t be changed. Despite her dearest wishes, it couldn’t change. Not unless she changed. And she felt she couldn’t.

    But that was a lie. She was changed. That beam of light, and the dream – she was changed because of them. Something had happened. Something big. Something strange. Something, quite possibly, exciting.

    Someone bounded over to Kessandra, and she sighed. It was her hyper sister Sara, of course. No-one else knowingly ran in her direction happily, unless they intended to bully.
    “Hey sister!” Sara said, stopping at her locker, directly next to Kessandra’s. “What’s happening?”
    “Business your none.”
    “Say what?”
    “Mind never.” Kessandra mumbled, grabbing the things she needed for her first class. “Class to going. Bye.”
    Closing her locker, Kessandra walked away quickly. Maybe she longed for someone who understood her, but she didn’t need to talk to Sarah, the one who no-one knew was her sister, since they were so different. Not even eye color and skin tone was the same. No scrap and similarity other than those baby years when both had been blonde, chubby and smily.

    In her thoughts, Kessandra almost missed it. A sudden movement at the corner of her eye. A cat, striding purposely by. It had its own agenda, but something Kessandra noticed made her confused.
    The cat had glowing wings.

    It seemed to fade in and out, like a ghost. Sometimes there, sometimes not. It wasn’t unusual for a cat to be good at vanishing, but in the open? No way.

    Kessandra approached it, then knelt down. The cat looked at her. “Kitty hello.” Kessandra murmured softly, glancing around as she did. No-one else was there. Odd, since Sarah had been right behind her. But she ignored it. It didn’t seem to matter. Not yet, anyway.

    D2 – Revelations: Part 1

    Jessica Winton
    Seya turned and smiled – after moments of wandering around, she finally found one of her fabled guardians. “Greetings young one, my name is Seya.” “I am not too familiar with your customs - I’m afraid - so you will have to forgive me if my appearance startled you.” Seya slightly squinted and with a great curiosity studied the young girl in front of her. “Your heart shines brightly with compassion towards other but it seems you struggle to express that compassion.” “What you experienced last night, the dream you had, was very real.” “Great evil is upon us and only you and the others have the power to stop it.” “Yes, there were others who experienced similar dreams.” “Tonight, when the moon shines its brightest, you must seek the tallest tower. Therein, at the top, you will find me and I promise things will become much clearer.” “You must trust me, the fate of everything you know, everything you care about hangs in the balance.” “For now I must go and seek the others,” and with those final words Seya ran off in search of the others.

    Darwin Albatross
    “Is it? I apologize if my appearance isn’t completely normal, young warrior, it’s because in a way –I’m not.” “My name is Seya.” A physically strong young boy stood in front of Seya with a look of disbelief. “You have the heart of a champion but you seem to be unable to find enough determination to make the final strike.” “Sorry,” said Seya while she slowly tilted her head, calmly closed her eyes, and smiled. “The dream you had last night and everything you experienced did happen.” “Tonight, when the moon shines its brightest, you must seek the tallest tower. I will be at the very top waiting for you, therein I will explain everything.” “For now it must suffice to say that your loved ones lay in great peril.” “You, along with five others, were chosen to combat the great evil that looms.” “I must go seek the other chosen ones before it is too late.” As Seya ran off she simply said, “Trust me!”

    Diego Vendrix
    “Of course, but please, you simply must tell me, how did you make such a wonderful creation?”
    Seya referred to the drawing; she was not familiar with the concept of art but as her pleased eyes demonstrated, she was all too interested. She slightly tilted her head sideways and smiled. A slightly shocked boy with noticeably large eyes was standing near her. “Hello, my name is Seya.” Then Seya gently closed her eyes and concentrated. “You heart radiates with a great passion but it seems you struggle to find an identity.” “What is it you search for, young hero? Everything you need is embedded within your soul.” “You must know, the dream you had was all too real.” “A dark threat has been set free and everything you’ve ever loved and known will cease to exist if it isn’t stopped!” “Along with five others, you were chosen to defeat this horrible evil and you must do so.” “You must seek me, when the moon shines at its brightest; I will be atop the tallest tower awaiting your presence but for now I must go seek the others!” Seya ran off; she took the drawing with her…

    Kessandra Andrews
    “Hello young warrior,” Seya responded with a comforting smile on her face. She then took a slightly more determined tone and said, “My name is Seya.” She was referring to a very young girl, whom was kneeling right in front of her. Seya took a careful look at the young teenager. “Your heart is as pure as it is honest but there’s so much sadness buried deep within.” Seya then closed her eyes and a tear ran down her right eye down to her cheek. So young and innocent… to be drafted into a war… it isn’t right but it must be done… “Beautiful child, the dream you had last night happened.” “A great evil threatens the world in which you live; you, along with five others, were chosen to stop this evil because you have a pure heart.” “Tonight, when the moon shines at its brightest, you must climb the tallest tower; at the top I will be waiting, I promise everything will become much clearer then.” “I must go now and seek the others but remember my words carefully, everything that happens does so for a reason; you were given hardships only because you have the courage and power to overcome them.” With those final words of reassurance Seya ran off to continue her search.

    Florina Bradley
    Day 2 Part 1
    Wields: Blue Flame Tiger Bow

    School was such a drag. The first four periods were boring and thus, my minutes on my phone decreased by the hundreds. Fifth period came along: my Law class. I always dressed in a professional business attire; today, I was dressed in a black coat and skirt with a white undershirt. This was about the only class that I actually paid attention. My goal in life was to be a lawyer, so this class actually meant something. Today we were performing a mock trial, a project that the class has been working on for a month. I got to be the lead prosecutor which was no surprise as I am the best person to be that position.

    “This man claims to have never set foot in the victims house. However, the evidence says otherwise. In breaking into the victims house, he cut himself on the window he broke to get in. What's more, eye witnesses on the scene can confirm that they saw this man point the gun at Mrs. Neel. Mr. Birk will tell you that he saw his wife in another room while the man. . .”

    My opening statement continued, the defending side did their opening, and the trail commenced. I had the first witness, the husband. Out of the corner of my eye, the cat was watching intently from the back of the room, still not attracting any attention. For the next fifteen minutes, I directed the witness, the defending crossed her. They tried pulling an objection on me for being to blunt which was overturned. I was on a hot streak, and they knew. They couldn't stop me because I knew what I was doing, so they tried disrupting me in attempts to throwing me off. It didn't work. The class ended once the defending side finished crossing my witness.

    The class packed up to leave. I was taking my time. That cat with wings was still there watching me intently. My next class was study hall so I could afford to be late. The teacher left to go wherever, so I as the last one to leave the classroom. I took a seat next to the cat.

    “Soo, stalking me much? I know I am rich and fabulous enough to be stalked by people, but a cat would be a first. Now you're gonna talk now. Wouldn't that just make my day?”

    I loved being sarcastic; it's quite fun. I know that cats don't talk, but when one follows you, I couldn't help myself. What sucked was that my own joke turned on itself and was greeted with a response.

    Day 2 - Revelations
    School, 2:30 PM

    The last bell of the day rang into Carly's ears as she stood up as she folded her Trigonometry answer sheet. Walking forward, she handed it to her teacher, sighing to herself with relief.

    Maybe I'll scrape a C in this...

    It was always the same thing she told herself after a Math test. Carly loathed any Math subject, she was terrible and the fact that it was important made matters worse. The test however, wasn't as bad as she expected. Maybe she really was going to get a C at least, she had to, if she didn't want to get an F.

    As she stepped outside, she took out a cigarette and her lighter from her handbag. Igniting the stick, she placed it between her lips as she walked across the schoolyard. She grinned slightly as she saw a bunch of younger boys run after each other.

    Cute, very cute...

    Carly did like them younger boys. She found them endearing, adorable and nonjudgmental. As she watched them leave, she couldn't help but think that most of them were attractive to certain degrees. A Spanish-looking boy caught her eye...or was he Mexican? Definitely younger than herself, from the looks of it. He was however, a fleeting sight, as he disappeared from her sight when she blinked.

    As she walked on, she looked ahead in the afternoon sun. Paddy had not yet arrived, from what she could see.

    Is that a...cat?

    Carly thought that she was hallucinating at first, but then she really saw it, a cat with wings. Carly instinctively took out her pack of cigarettes from her bag, checking the ingredients. Were her cigarettes laced with weed? Nothing suspicious...from what she read. Approaching the cat, she kept her eyes on it, making sure it really was there and that she really was sober.

    Once she was close enough, she knelt down and touched its head, expecting to meet nothing but thin air. However, her fingers met soft fur instead, much to her surprise.

    "Y-you're real?" She asked, looking at the cat, who seemed to be looking at her intently.

    D2 - Revelations: Part 1

    Florina Bradley
    “I assure you what I have to say is no laughing matter; my name is Seya.” “The dream you experienced last night was very much real, I assure you…” Seya closed her eyes and with great concentration looked into the young lady’s heart. “Your heart contains ultimate loyalty but your pride is harsh.” “A great evil was released into the universe; it lays in your power to re-imprison this great malevolence.” “If you fail, everything you ever cared for will cease to exist.” Seya then smiled and said, “The situation is dire and your journey surely will be perilous but you will not be alone; there are others who were chosen just as you have been. Together you will challenge this evil.” “Tonight, when the moon is at its brightest, you must seek me atop the tallest tower; I will be there waiting for you and I promise I will explain everything.” “Young warrior, do not lose sight of your gifted speech, when turbulence comes you must be strong, the younger ones will look to you for comfort.” With those final compromising words, Seya left the classroom.

    Caroline "Carly" McNamara
    Seya purred with gratitude and said, “Your touch… it comforts me.” “Young warrior, the dream you experienced last night, even though blurred, was very real.” There was a young lady, one of the older girls at the school, kneeling at Seya’s level. She then tapped into her power and reached into the young lady’s heart. “Your heart shines with conviction but it’s clouded by fear to - let go.” “Listen to me carefully, what’s to come will challenge your courage and you must answer without looking back.” “A great evil has been released upon the worlds, you, along with five other young warriors of Light, were chosen to defeat the evil that threatens to destroy everything and everyone you hold dear.” “Tonight, when the moon shines its brightest, you must seek the tallest tower in the city. There, at the very top, I shall await your presence.” “I promise everything will be explained upon your arrival.” Seya ran off but then halted, turned and said, “and remember young champion, it is okay to be afraid but you cannot let your fear inhibit you from carrying out ‘that’ for which you were chosen for in life.” Seya continued with her crusade…

    D2 - Revelations: Part 2

    Seya had made contact. She did as best she could to briefly explain herself but there was still much to be revealed. The moment Seya arrived in our world she was quick to spot the tallest building in the city. She needed to be as high as possible; with the moon shining brightly her plan would surely work…

    The AIM Tech Building

    The AIM Tech building was on the outer edge of the downtown district. It was moderately secured with cameras and a bunch of rent-a-cops, fortunately not highly specialized or smart.

    The building itself was some 1200 feet (365 meters) high with an impressive 65 total floors. Each level consisted of re-enforced glass; it provided employees with a privileged view of the city, especially the CEO whom resided in the penthouse suite. The level of security then increased with each level.

    There were two main entrances in the building, one in front and one out back. The back door however was used only for fire evacuations; thus, if opened, an alarm would be set off.

    There was an elevator lounge with six sets of elevators that went up to the 64th floor. On the opposite side of the elevators was a stairway that went up to the rooftop. The 64th floor was a luxurious private suite were executive meetings were held. From the elevator, across the room there was an access point (stairway) to the penthouse suite (65th floor) and the rooftop.

    The rooftop of the AIM Tech building was actually a landing spot for a helicopter; accordingly, it had a large yellow circular ‘landing’ target imprinted into the ground with a pattern of neon lights for night landings. Along the edge of the rooftop was a 4-foot ledge.

    Richard Sawman
    New arch Preparatory, Headmaster

    Yet another school day was finally over. Richard Sawman, New Arch Preparatory headmaster, was in his office, stuffing his black briefcase with papers.

    He had a tall and skinny figure. His face was pale and cold; his years weighting in on him. The tall skinny man was in his late 60’s and not any more friendly. It was just the opposite; Mr. Sawman had a strict personality, which was just right for his line of work. He rarely stepped outside his office but when he did, there was surely punishment to be dealt. Surprisingly enough, the man seemed to encourage high academic achievement – no in reality he championed excellence.

    Just as he was done packing his documents, his bony fingers clipped the briefcase shut; he adjusted his red tie with his right hand and stepped out the door. He exited the administration building but before he could leave the school grounds he bumped into one of the school teachers, Miss Jane.

    Young naďve Miss Jane smiled and waved her hand at the school headmaster, “have a nice evening Headmaster Sawman!”

    Richard simply nodded. “Miss Jane…” he responded in a calm but cold tone and continued out the front gates.

    Richard got in his luxury vehicle, turned on the car and stepped on the gas. To anyone sitting inside the car with him, the drive home would have been abnormally silent but to him it was routine.

    He arrived home just before it began to snow; it was mid-winter after all. Richard went into the bedroom and took off his black coat. He walked towards a cupboard with a large oval mirror sitting on it, and picked up a small frame with the picture of a young woman. He stared at the picture and then at himself. The underneath of his eyes were dark; evidence of his countless sleepless nights. Richard noticed the shadows underneath his eyes were expanding, soon his face was covered with a layer of shadow and it was quickly spreading towards the rest of his body. Suddenly he fell to the ground and began convulsing. His whole system went into shock. His face began morphing into an otherworldly creature; he developed a snout and his muscular system expanded at a rate so alarming it ripped through his clothes.

    The upper class apartment complex began to shake…

    Seya

    Seya left the school grounds and flew herself over to the AIM Tech building. She neatly touched ground on the ledge of the rooftop and fixed her gaze on the horizon; the sun was beginning to set.
    ___

    What you must do:
    -Get to the AIM Tech Building rooftop (I don't care how you do it but make it witty! Remember, you were requested to be there at night, Seya will be at the top waiting)

    What you can do:
    -Anything you want that constitutes as normal for your character, no messing with magic or powers etc... just yet

    What you can't do:
    -Access your weapons
    -You have no knowledge of anything that is occurring with your school headmaster

    Useful Side Notes:
    -It's snowing and it's moderately windy, specially up top
    -The building is pretty much empty save for the two rent-a-cops in the entrance and few security occasionally walking up and down the stairs
    -You arrive to the rooftop in the order in which you post, if no one has a post up yet, congratulations you are first
    -As soon as you arrive at the rooftop you may interact with anyone who is already (but not before) there including Seya (I will play Seya) ask/say what you please save for explanations on your powers; they will not be given until everyone is there.
    -There is currently no helicopter on the rooftop

    Jessica Winton
    Wielder of the Black Dragon Sword
    Day 2: Revelations - Part 2

    Jessica stood before the gigantic AIM Tech building, which stood at 365 metres (well, at least, last time she checked), her face emotionless; however, many different thoughts were rushing through her mind like a blizzard. A real blizzard looked like it could appear any minute in New Arc City as well, snowflakes dancing around in the sky erratically, the wind giving them even more mobility as it swooshed through the streets, howling loudly.*

    But the weather was none of her concern. Right now, she had to think of a way to get past those rent-a-cops, who were standing by the main entrance to the building - and why on earth that winged cat had asked her to meet her on top of the tallest building of the city, which was unmistakably the AIM Tech building.*

    Jessica had visited the AIM Tech building on several occasions beforehand as her uncle was a well-known and respected employee, and she was quite familiar to the structure and the layout of the building, as well as with the intelligence of these rent-a-cops, which was, frankly to say, on par with the intelligence of a goldfish. She just had to think of a witty way to get past them, then the rest would be easy. Just then, the most brilliant plan of all time popped into her head, and smiling confidently to herself, she hurried over to the main entrance of the building.*

    As soon as Jessica turned around the corner, one of the two rent-a-cops on duty (it was pretty much in the dead of the night, so no wonder there were only two) caught noticed of her and whirled around, a stern-yet-not-so-stern look on his face. "Who are you?" he said in a squeaky voice, and Jessica struggled to fight the urge to laugh out loud. The other rent-a-cop joined him, though this time, he had a much more serious face.*

    "Look over there," Jessica said, pointing over to the opposite side of the building. The two rent-a-cops fell for it, stupidly averting their gaze to the direction she was pointing to, and that alone was enough time for Jessica to make a rush into the building and head for the elevator lounge, which was only a short run from the main entrance. With yells of anger and frustration, the two rent-a-cops ran off in pursuit of the cunning teenager, and skidded into the elevator lounge, only to be greeted by a smirking Jessica, who was already in one of the elevators, and before either of them could react, the doors closed, and all that remained was the slight whirring sound as the elevator travelled up the floors. Inside, Jessica finally burst into fits of laughter, spluttering and laughing out loud. "God, they are sooooo stupid," she said.*

    However, the rent-a-cops were clever enough to alert the other security guards inside the building.*

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    About half a minute later, the elevator Jessica was on arrived at the 64th floor, and Jessica was greeted by about half a dozen of unhappy security guards. But Jessica had had this all planned out - she took out a muddy-brown-coloured ball, wrapped around with plastic foil. Snickering to herself, she threw it at the floor, and it landed with a splat, breaking apart, and releasing a foul odour at the same time. The security guards all groaned at the stink, and while they tried to keep focus on Jessica, she was already heading towards the staircase to the 65th floor - the penthouse suite, where the CEO himself resided.*
    However, she couldn't help but silently congratulate herself for coming up with the brilliant idea of making a stink bomb to distract the guards.*
    Now, Jessica wasn't quite sure what to do next, once she arrived at the penthouse suite. To her knowledge, the staircase to the rooftop was only accessible by going up the narrow staircase located on the edge of the balcony - having an uncle who was a good friend of the CEO was certainly coming in handy - but the only problem was, once she reached the balcony itself, she discovered that the only thing separating her from the inside was a single see-through wall, purely made out of glass and nothing else...
    "Well, here goes nothing," Jessica muttered under her breath, and she took a tiny step onto the balcony when -
    "Who's there?" a voice slurred, and Jessica froze in her tracks. Surely this couldn't be the end of that...?"
    "Who's there?" the voice repeated, though it sounded very slurred. "Shooow yerself, you kiiiiiiiid! What aaare ye here fer?"
    "Um... I'm here to meet a flying cat with wings up on the rooftop," Jessica stammered - hopefully he'd buy it, he looked as if he was drunk, anyway...
    "Oh yeeeah?" the voice said. "I remember when I saw a wee lil' doggy with siiiiix taiiiils oooonce... Er warit a 'ream? Cun't remember, guuuuurl! Go ooooon, then!" And with that, the voice trailed off, rambling on about some girl named Josephine and how she was such a kind-hearted girl and how she used to work at the flower shop. Yep, he was definitely drunk, whoever it was... The CEO, probably - his voice was too, well, classy to be a security guard. Sighing with relief, Jessica walked across the balcony and hopped up the stairs, onto the rooftop.*
    The winged cat was still there, and was shining in the moonlight gracefully. She certainly didn't look like an ordinary cat, anyway. Almost... like an angel. She was mystifying like an angel yet still as adorable as any other cat.
    Kessandra Andrews
    Wielder of the Twin White Lion Gauntlets
    Day 2 – Part 2
    It was nerve inducing, waiting for her parents to fall asleep, so she could head to the AIM Tech Building.
    It wasn’t her first strategy, either. Her first thought had been to tell her parents she was going out, then wander the streets for a bit before going to AIM Tech and doing something good. Like talk to a flying cat. But her honesty made that lie impossible. So came Plan B – Wait.
    Kessandra wasn’t sure she liked waiting.
    The moon shone through her window, shinning on her sitting form. She couldn’t stand – her legs would be sore. She couldn’t lie down – she’d fall asleep and miss her window.
    She heard something and twitched. But it was just the light being turned off in the hallway. “Almost time.” She murmured softly, listening intently for the sound of a second switch.
    Once her parents had turned off the lights, she would wait ten-or-so minutes for safety, then sneak out. The sneaking would be the harder part, since she lived in an apartment. She was glad her apartment was on the fourth floor, and therefore not too far from the lobby, where she could leave quickly.
    The switch clicked loudly, echoing through the house. Kessandra caught her breath, then relaxed. Her parents were going to fall asleep soon. She began to count mentally, and then remembered she had an alarm clock.
    After ten minutes, she could wait no longer. She was anxious to get to the bottom of the mystery. The evil rising, the flying ghost cat. And what the Guardian of Light stuff meant. Not to mention that sadness. She knew that. But still. Maybe hearing it from Seya would change that.
    She stood up, and strode quickly to the door. Holding her breath, she opened the door a crack. The house was dark, the only illumination coming from the bright moon in the sky. Nothing stirred in the apartment. Not even the mouse that usually raided the fridge at that time of night.
    She crept out slowly, closing her door behind her. No need to wake them up now. No-one needed to know. Secrecy was essential. The cat said so.
    Even as she crept out of the apartment and down the stairs, she realized how stupid that sounded. The cat said so. Normally, she’d burst out laughing – into her pillow, of course – at such a thought, but when said cat has wings and can talk, and is so serious; such thoughts had to be thought.
    AIM Tech Building
    It was dark and snowing. It helped, Kessandra supposed. Less people would be able to see her nimbly walking in front of the large building – the largest in the city. Probably not the world, but such humorous thoughts kept her guard up. Not that it made much sense to her at all.
    Some lights still shone down on her from the building, which put a slight hitch in her plan. She’d have to ninja her way around the lit rooms. That meant several detours. Detours wouldn’t help her arrival time, but she would at least arrive. She was sure that Seya wouldn’t mind. Seya was kind and gentle. A few minutes of lateness surely wouldn’t matter to her, right?
    She snuck up to the door of AIM Tech. The lights were on inside, but they were dim. Dressed in black, Kessandra felt sure she could sneak to the stairwell unnoticed.
    She glanced up at the top of the building. The lights went off about the thirty-fourth floor, and at the top of the building she thought a small light gleamed. Seya.
    Taking a deep breath, she pushed the door open and walked quickly inside. The only person in the room, a half asleep young lady, looked up. But she was too slow. Kess was already sneaking up the stairwell.
    As she passed through a room, she heard the elevator whirring. Someone was using it. And going high. Possibly another Guardian? Kess had no clue. All she knew was that she’d decided she was going the hard way. Couldn’t be changed mid-ascension. Albeit it being only the third or so floor.
    *~*~*~*~*
    The sixty-fourth floor reeked of stink bomb. It was gross. And it didn’t help that there were several guards stumbling around the site of the stink bomb holding their noses. At any other time Kess may have laughed. But now, she knew these guards were on red alert. They knew someone else had come this way. They were prepared to meet others. Though perhaps prepared was stretching the definition.
    Kess crept past, sticking to the shadows. It stunk. She stopped, and slowly lifted a hand to her face. A bit of a bad idea to be one handed, but she wasn’t ambidextrous. And she was using her non-writing hand to hold her nose.
    As she crept past, one guard looked right at her. She froze stock still. The guard still stared at her. Then he bolted in her direction.
    Throwing caution to the wind, she sprinted for the door, and the final stairwell. To the sixty-fifth floor. Then the roof. Finally. Her goal was near.
    But she couldn’t bring a swarm of stupid guards to the roof. Bad idea. Seya’s whole plan – whatever it may be – would be ruined.
    Spinning around, she kicked the leading guard in the stomach, causing him to fall into his companions. These were big men, so it might take them a few minutes to regain their balance. In their moment of hesitation, she bolted up the stairwell, and slammed the door at the top behind her. Glancing around, she saw a loose chair, which she grabbed. She then jammed it under the handle, keeping it close. It wouldn’t hold out against angry guards, but still. Better more protection than none.
    She continued on her way, then reached the rooftop. Already there was another girl from school, who Kess thought she vaguely knew. Jess or something? She wasn’t much of a socialite, so she wasn’t really going to know. And, of course, Seya the cat was there. She shone in the moonlight, glowing and gleaming. Odd, but since she had wings, that made more sense.
    Diego Vendrix
    Wielder: Monkey Staff of Wisdom
    Day II Relevations- Part II Ninja Time!
    Diego waited for his parents to fall asleep. Now, his brother visited at one point and he taught Diego how to escape in case Diego actually needed to do something like that, for a myraid of reasons. Diego was happy to see his younger brother was no longer arrogant though he still enjoyed mind games. Anyway, Diego had tied his blankets together and quietly snuck out. He already had an excuse planned if he was caught.
    He had to meet a girl.
    He wasn't lying though. He had stood awake until he saw his parents' room dim out. He was in his pajama clothes, a white T-shirt and pajama pants. However, he put on a pair of sweatpants, a sweater and a jacket and his shoes to go out. Before he did, he remembered what the woman had said.
    About evil rising. Diego realized he may never see his folks again. Maybe she would take them to another world or maybe he and the other guardians would die fighting tonight. In any case, he snuck into their rooms and kissed his folks on the cheek. He whispered 'I love you' to them. He wiped the tears that were developing and took a deep breath.
    He had to be brave.
    For his parents and his brother.
    He managed to climb down with little trouble. He made sure everything was all right when he was outside. He looked at his house one last time. He sighed before he spotted the tower in the distance.
    This will be a long night.
    AIM Tech Building
    Diego was whistling to himself as he saw the snow fall. He liked winter and overcast. The snow made everything white, soft and pristine. Not many were around, though he swore he saw others headed in the same direction.
    The other guardians he gathered.
    He saw two enter and he then stepped in. No one as the front desk. Diego saw the two elevators were in use. Looks like he was number 3#. He went into one and began going to the 64# floor. As he was going up, he wondered what he would do. However, he stopped at 63#. He saw a few guards go down looking sick. He then saw the stairs. He was able to smell something.
    Being the smart kid, he realized someone used stink bombs. Clever, though not for everyone else. He sighed as he raised his jacket to cover his mouth and nose. He was going to have to wash the stench out later. As soon as he was on the 64th floor, he then saw the smell cleared out. He then walked by the guards. He was a good kid and was the type people could miss. Even if they did spot him, his face said he was innocent and not up to mischief. As he was about to prepare to go up, he realized the door was jammed,
    First stinkbombs and now this. Were his future comrades that short-sighted?
    Realizing he had to be discrete, he had one option. He looked at the window and paled.
    This would suck. He opened and saw there were two girls there. The building was mostly with glass. Well, this sucked even more. He gulped. However, he then remembered the belt he brought. It was a Survival belt. He took it off and unraveled it to reveal the 100 ft of Paracord. Using the D rings, the normal belt strap, he managed to make a lasso. He then looked up and realized there was a ledge.
    Double crud. Well, he was going to have a stern talking to. He sighed as he swung and kept trying to toss it. Fortunately, a massive sudden updraft carried the win to the ledge and was tightly secured among the stone edge. Diego tugged it. He realized he still had some rope, but considering the high alert. He had an idea. He looked in his pocket and realized he some leftover paper. He went back inside and found a pen on the floor. He scribbled onto it.
    "Dear Guardians.
    64th floor on lockdown. Go to 55th floor and get ready to climb.
    From a fellow Guardian."
    Diego attached the note to a paperweight with a rubberband and tossed to near the entrance. The paperweight managed to make it down in front. It was a nice good quality stone, so it wasn't damaged.
    Diego then gave the rope a final tug and began climbing. His heart was pounding and instinct screamed at him DON'T LOOK DOWN. After a painful 10 feet climb he managed to make it to the top.
    He smiled at the cat, but glared at the other two. "Okay, stink bomb, bad idea. Blocking door, even worse. Now I have to help everyone climb up one at a time on the rope," he said to them with an exasperated tone as he went down until he was around the 55th floor. No guards at this moment thank god. Most were probably on the higher levels.
    He would to help them one at a time. All at once could break the rope.
