Anything and Everything Shiny - 2.0!

Hi everyone... didn't thought I would be posting this quickly
YES!!! The second half of my Pokémon White BQ is going great.
I wasn't sure of were to hunt for my next shiny target since on Route 5, Route 6 and Mistralton Cave you can encounter evolve pokémon and I like to caught my shinies on their first form so I didn't wanted to risk finding a shiny Liepard, shiny Tranquill, shiny Swadloon or shiny Boldore -I also thought of SR for a shiny Foongus but eh...- After thinking about it for a couple of minutes I made my mind, my next target would be a legendary shiny target, the Iron Will Pokémon Cobalion, yesterday I spend almost the whole day training a Patrat I caught just for this endeavor, I transfer it to my Pokémon Black and trained him to lv 100 -he is my Hunter- after that I bought tons of pokéballs 'cause all my BQ pokés are capture on Premier Balls. After finishing my preparations I went into Mistralton Cave and the Guidance Chamber...
Well today I woke up, turned on my DS and after lets say 5 SR -WHAT?!- shiny Cobalion came across my screen. OMA I was shaking in the presence of such magnificent poké, but I knew I was ready for this challenge... After a short fight I got to capture him inside my precious Premier Ball and right now he is resting with his BQ shiny partners in my PC and I'm getting ready for my next shiny target and the 6th on my Pokémon White BQ

This is exactly why you should NEVER go into wild Pokemon areas without any balls...

We shiny hunters surely need balls to go after shiny pokés LOL... and talking about revenge shinies, on my first try to SR for a shiny Johto starter I wanted shiny Cyndaquil so much. Since it was my first time SR at all I wasn't used to it so I was on automatic and I SR over a shiny Cynda, I just watched his brown fur and my fingers acted on their own losing him forever... later on I managed to reclaim him, and a shiny Toto and a couple of shiny Chikos -ugh-

Ouch, sorry to hear about that. That's why I do it really slowly, and I don't dual SR... I need all my concentration just for one game. Not that I do it often enough to get an SR...

Is anyone else planning on SR'ing Mandibuzz/Braviary on Thursdays/Tuesdays in BW2? I want to as it seems like a fun hunt.

I'm still making my way to Lugia in my SS egg run. Last night I thought I was going to have to scrap it and start over due to lack of pokemon who can learn Surf. Fortunately, the last gym I defeated provided me with a Makuhita! So my challenge continues!! Hopefully I'll be able to start SRing Lugia this weekend. ^_^

My husband must be very lucky. I just talked him into playing the games, & he caught a shiny "yellow flying pig" as he called the Munna on his very first day of play. So now I am bragging about him in my sig! Go Rueben!!
I do not have any 5th gen shinys but I'll keep searching.


The best shiny I ever had was hatching a Togepi egg, but that was in the old games (Gen 2) not transferrable. Having just got back into the games I must say they are v. impressive!

Well, these legendary birds sure are stubborn! Stayed up until 2:15am last night SRing, and spent pretty much all day today, and still no shiny to show for my efforts! As for Tauros, I've kind of forgotten about that hunt for the time being. I just want a bird to shine (and soon)!

I was thinking about SR until I got a female (for mandibuzz anyway) with the desired nature and then use that for MM breeding..on my black I RE'd rufflet and it took 3 months til I finally got it...lets just say that in black/white 2 I'm definitely going to MM them instead. My shiny rufflet was neutral nature despite my syncer, so I'm looking forward to trying again for an adamant shiny one next time.

As for an update on my hunt....at least 4k encounters at dragonspiral tower and no shiny encounters of anything yet. I kept checking my pokedex to make sure that I hadn't missed one on accident (sawsbuck and beartic's shinies are harder to tell from the original color) and I have not. When I do get my two targets at dragonspiral tower I'm going to go back to my extrasensory cyndaquil MM hunt.

Almost been tempted to maybe squeeze one extra hunt in before the new games but decided not to. Been distracting myself by playing through Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for what seems like the hundredth time!

- Relicanth & Chansey (dat super long steps, I decided to MM them in B/W 2 instead with the help of the two Charms)
- Sigilyph
- Petilill
- Victini (hopefully in the future there will be an in-game Victini that lacks the shiny lock)
- Kyurem (I'll try to get it in B/W 2)
- Regigigas (same as Kyurem)
- Cresselia (again, same as Kyurem)
- Mesprit (again, same as Kyurem)

Those are the ones I can remember for now.




anyway, 1400 eggs, still no Shiny Squirtle....maybe I should just update my sig already, but with an empty spot for Blastoise in the future.

Hey guys. I FINALLY am able to shiny hunt again. It feels like forever since I last picked up my DS's (even though it was only Sunday that I last hunted). I was so busy these last few days... 2 tests, a crazy amount of work, and sickness yesterday into today. I feel better now. I am going to work on SRing today for Ho-oh and Lugia. I will update when I am done for the night. Since it has been forever since I have last been on, I was not able to keep up with everyone's stories. But congrats on those who have gotten their shinies and good luck to those still hunting!

Last night, I dreamed that my secret target shone.
So when I woke up, I did one SR for it to see if my dream would have been a premonition.
Didn't work though.

Was a pretty weird dream, though.
I caught it, then saved the game. But then it was still there and I could battle it again and it would keep appearing as shiny.
Odd.

Hi everyone
WHAT?! I can't believe I'm back here this fast...
Like you could read on my previous post today in the morning I caught shiny Cobalion -my 5th pokémon on my Pokémon White BQ- after capturing him I went back to the Pinwheel Forest and the Rumination Field with a resolved mind, for my next target was there waiting for me to claim his shiny form
I was about to go to bed 'cause I was feeling really tired but decided to endure it for a couple of hours and keep SR -iron will - and about an hour later shiny Virizion came across my DSi screen. I can't believe it yet, two shiny muskedeers in one day!! and not just that my 6th shiny target for my Pokémon White BQ -like I said on my post above, this second half of my BQ is going great-
