    On your recent work:
    - I love how cute Shelgon is
    - It took me a while to relise what Kadabra was doing
    - The Articuno is subtle, but gogeous! Love it.

Oh my. I LOVE your Shelgon. I usually hate its design so much, but I like how you made it look like a turtle. It's so cute. :>

I really like your Articuno. I think your different approach, making it more of a landscape than just the poke itself, is very good, although the mountains were a little rigid to be natural but then you get GameFreak logic.

Yes. Anyway, I don't think it would hurt if you ever did Arty again, but next time, focusing more on the pokemon himself than the surrounding motif.

Steelix is AWESOME!!! You may not think that you draw steel and stone well, but I am of the opinion that the style that you utilized improved the sense that you are looking up at him from below, thus realizing that he is huge and you are a puny mortal that doesn't have the right to so much as kiss his shoes!!!...er...if he had shoes...that is...

While I'm at it, I also love your Articuno, and how he is so far off in the distance, making him seem like a dream that is too far out of reach. It's almost mystical.

    Latest reviews.

Steelix: I don't know what you were talking about, the rocks and steel look fine. And quite frankly I love this one....it make's Steelix's size and monstrocity very apparent. Great work.

Chikorita: Cutest thing ever, and hopefully your friend is as good a cook as Chikorita

Bellsprout: honestly not my fave of yours (the top seems off to me) but I still like it.

Thanks so much for your comments, djhappy! I'm glad you like the steelix and the chikorita--I'm sure if Chikorita coached my friend, those two would bake wonders. :b It's perfectly fine that you didn't like the bellsprout as much, I appreciate your comment about it all the same.

Day 27 is up and it's a honchkrow.

    Day 28 - Torchic
    28th January 2012

I was out for the whole day today so today's pic is a 30 minute speed paint. I've
never drawn anything so fast that wasn't a sketch, so I'm kinda glad I managed
to get some details in there... sort of. I guess I'm also grateful that random.org
decided to give me a simple pokémon to draw today, too.
    AAAAAAAHHHHHHH IT'S SO FLUUUUFFFFAAAAYYYY!!!!!

I love that one! I like how you gave it wider eyes, and made it look like a little pillow, all giant and fluffy. :3

Now that you've updated 3 more since my last visit, I'll comment on them.

Bellsprout - I really like the perspective on this one.
Honchkrow - Great mood and background!
    Torchic - Kyaaa! So cute!!

Haha, I would recommend you do something similar! After you've done everything you need to do, of course. The good thing about drawing Pokémon is that there are so many to choose from; you won't run out of ideas for a long time yet.

I'm not too sure what you mean, but I do paint them all digitally. I use Photoshop CS5 for these pictures.

Haha! No, not popcorn. |D It's actually a necklace of flowers. I really don't know why I put that in there (or why the chimchar is holding a mango), so there you go.

Thank you all so much! It's been fantastic drawing all through January and it's actually quite hard to believe that 31 (now 32!) days have already passed. To start off the second month of the year, we have a playful latias!

AAAWWWW!!! I love Latias!!! Especially because of how you present her like an actual avian creature, with feathers and such. Personally, I have always seen the Lati@s twins as being more like jets, almost with rubbery or even human-like skin covering them, since they don't seem to fly by flapping their wings, but through the propulsion of their own psychic prowess.

Despite this, I think that the bird rendition is very original, not to mention beautiful, and I love the playful feel that you give to your picture, with the ball on her nose (I presume that's the soul dew?) Absolutely fantastic!
