Cynthia vs Lance...who gonna win?!

Pretty sure that Cynthia would win in a battle, but Lance is a way cooler character.

Cynthia's team is mixed. Lance's pokemon are mostly dragon type. so cynthia is the better champion.

I'll assume it's their Platinum and HGSS rematch teams.

Cynthia has the diversity, and a small level edge. However, she's almost always just running four attacks. Lance has Dragon Dance on his Gyarados, Swords Dance on his Garchomp, and Rest+Lum Berry on his Salamence. I don't know their exact stats, but if Lance's Chomp gets a Swords Dance in, it may well OHKO Milotic with Outrage. Gyarados also may stand a chance.

I'm on Cynthia's side. Her Garchomp can outrun Lance's Dragonite. Her Milotic is a decent mix of Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense. Her team is just equally balanced with reliable moves

If this happened in the anime, I'll say Lance because typing isn't always everything. I think Lance's Dragonite can pwn Cynthia. Dragonite are always shown to be very speedy and agile in the anime. I doubt Garchomp can keep up with Dragonite's speed. And all of Cynthia's other Pokemon can't match Dragonite's speed and prowess in the air. If Garchomp fails to take down his Dragonite, Lance will win easily.

In-game, I'll say Cynthia.

I'd say Cynthia because of variety of her Pokemon and the moves they use. Other than Gyrados, Lance has basically all Dragon and Flying type Pokemon.

I never said anything about typing. I simply pointed out that Dragonite are shown to be very agile in the air. Something that I do not believe Garchomp can match.

Oh. I thought you meant typing in reference to your Ember vs Water-types. Even in-game, Ember can OHKO a Piplup. I haven't played 5th gen so I don't know if Samurott has an ability to make itself immune to that so I picked Piplup.

Yeah sorry about that. I must have misread what you meant in your original post.

The anime does stick true to itself mostly. Pikachu's Thunderbolt didn't do a thing to Hippowdon or Donphan. Same for when Electabuzz used Thunderbolt on Ash's Phanpy.
