My......God. I didn't even knew people have posted on this thread and I've never replied to them nor payed attention to their replies here...what a shame (and looking at my first post here make me feel DUMB)

I still think Cynthia would win, no reason specified LOL! Cynthia's poké is really good, but, holy Christ, Lance have some awesomes Dragons at his side. Yeah, yeah, it's true; i love Dragonite and Gyarados, and those both boasts enough power to demolish most of Cynthia team's. One of those Poke's is Gyarados. He's not a full Dragon type (he's not even a Dragon LOL) and this makes him a perfect counter to Cynthia. The only problem i see is, can Gyarados makes all his way through Cynthia team until he fights (Roserade!!!!) Garchomp? If he, can, defeat most of Cynthia's Team, will he defeat Cynthia's Garchomp? They're not in the game, but on a battle just the Anime (full of Lies!)...let us think outside the box a, just a little...

So yeah...this not a fair question, mwahahahah!!

Lance has the better team at that time in each generation, Cynthia has the advantage of a wider selection of Pokemon and thus has a better team then Lance when he had a smaller selection of Pokemon then Cynthia.

At their respective time in their generation, Lance had the stronger team for his time then Cynthia did.

Cynthia would win she has a wide variety of pokemon and lance mostly dragons and cynthia had garchomp chomp ftw and some pokemon with ice moves that.would destroy his dragonites

cynthia's team is better all round. it is stronger and is prepared for more threats. it's better to have a variety than just one type.

I never lost on Lance and I have to say Cynthia because her team wrecks. She has a better chance at winning by default. Also her Pokemon all have 31 Ivs.

First we need a standard by which to compare the two's teams;

Cynthia (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum):

Spiritomb
Roserade
Gastrodon/Togekiss
Milotic
Lucario
Garchomp

Lance (Heart Gold/Soul Silver):

Salamence
Charizard
Dragonite
Gyarados
Altaria
Garchomp

Lance will probably take this one. It's basically four against six, since Roserade and Lucario can get OHKO'd by just about everything Lance has.

That said, Milotic and Garchomp can single-handedly wreck most of Lance's team, and Gastrodon would be a good third man since it's somewhat bulky, has ice beam, and Lance lacks grass moves. Spiritomb is up in the air, but with Salamence, Dragonite, and Garchomp, you're getting into the territory of Pokemon that can turn tomb's low HP against it.

Garchomp and Milotic could probably do it with maybe getting hit once or twice on each of them.
Charizard could sweep out that Roserade easily so Roserade isnt really an option.
Gastrodon could stand a hit and do damage and kill some if his team members. Togekiss is ok but I like Gastrodon since you are right with its Bulkyness (and icebeam :P)
But I think Cynthia would win.

I'd have to go with Cynthia (against my will T.T) because Lance is too low-leveled and narrow minded (there are more types out there, Lance!). Yet Steven and Wallace would win against Cynthia despite these things. As for Red... well, you all know what will happen

Cynthia's not that impressive, though. Lv 50-53 team and a Lv. 56 Vaporeon will do in Platinum, as long as you carry enough Revival Herbs.

I think Cynthia will probably win because she has more variety in types. It would be a good battle to watch, though.

But he have a plethora of Dragon's at his side. Though, this leaves him with a huge weakness to Ice, he can easily counter this with Kingdra and, whoa, sweep her whole team with a single Dragon.

And really, in a battle between them, you guys really think he can't counter...nothing? Even a single non-STABed Ice type attack?

He's not diverse as Cynthia, but he does have some high chances to win. It's 50% chance for each one.

Also, Lance's a Specialist in Dragon Types. He knows how to play with both his Weakness and Advantages. Lets keep that in mind, people, he's not a simple "Dragon Trainer" with a Dragonite, Kingdra, Hydreingon, Garchomp, Salamence and Haxorus.
