Every Pokemon hatches with a Pokeball in its mouth.

Really, though, I seriously don't know. xD

    More:

    - Why doesn't Professor Oak know the name of his grandson?
    - Those Cut trees are so tiny. Why can't you just Hyper Beam them to smithereens?
    - How can you use Dive on land when there's no water?
    - How are certain Flying-types (Gyarados, Mantine, etc.) unable to learn Fly? I understand Gyarados, but Mantine has wings, so it SHOULD be able to learn Fly...

Pointless note: I'm usually only going to be here on Thursdays from now on.

Mantine's kind of flying is more of gliding, like Gligar and Gliscor, and Hoppip family.
note that not all flying type can actually fly great distance, some have affinity to the sky through "gliding", or riding the air.

Not that I'm complaining, but how does Galvantula learn Bug Buzz? It doesn't have wings.

I've been wondering this for a while: why can pokemon that can fly only fly to pokemon centers and other certain areas? If a pokemon is flying it should be able to land anywhere, not just in cities in front of pokemon centers.
On a related note, why can you not fly to cities you haven't been to yet? I understand the broken game mechanics if this was actually implemented, but in real life, you should be able to fly anywhere, not just places you've been.

The pokemon is like Chuck Norris. It swims through land.
I'm sorry, were you expecting some kind of epic signature here?

    Current works:
A Modern Atlantis- Bioshock/Doctor Who crossover (FINALLY WRITING CHAPTER 3! Will post soon!)
-When a perfectly mundane trip to the ocean floor causes the Doctor and his companions to discover an underwater city, they find a utopia that is anything but. (Rated PG-14 for language and violence)

One doesn't need to have wings to create noise. >_>

Why don't we ever get to see a Pokemon take a squat?
They should be treated like a tamagotchi/giga pet

The user vibrates its wings to generate a damaging sound wave. It may also lower the target's Sp. Def stat.

No it doesn't. The Nest Ball has it's own unique animation, whilst all the Apricorn balls have the Pokeball animation.
We're nothing more than concreteness victims trapped into our limits
Blind beliefs that lead us: "Trust in what we can perceive with senses".
Thousands minds that reflect our tendency to flatten layers of knowledge,
demonstrating that we're just wasting our time.
Look above us, sky is just a fragment and shows us how we're nothing more than ants.
Human weakness is what we hide, overwhelming celebration of our fault .
Entwined with our fears of being in your hands, we're deaf to the universe that guides us.
How can we enhance our thin perception of every small wonder hiding behind simple shapes?

Prior to Gen V, all Pokémon who learnt Bug Buzz had wings. I guess whoever wrote the in-game description presumed that the noise was created using wings. However, it's evident now that this is not the case; Bug Buzz can be used by creating noise in any manner.

It creates wings of electricity, obviously. Next time, think before you question the absoluteness of the mighty Galvantula, mortal.

hmmm.......why do escape ropes act like teleportation devices and take one out of a dungeon so quickly? Why doesn't someone see an animation of the person shooting an opening in the cieling, chucking one of their pokemon up there and then climbing up the rope like Indiana Jones or something?

Disregarding the fact that Pokémon is for handheld consoles (read: not as powerful as home consoles), it appears the developers like to keep an element of simplicity in Pokémon games.
