Welcome to Roll to Dodge. In this game, you create a character and once we have about 8, we will start. Every time some kind of event happens and you have to pick a command for your character to prevent yourself to get into trouble. The last person standing wins.
The action results are defined by a six-sided die roll:
: Epic Fail. Your efforts only worsened your situation.
: Fail. Your skills or luck were insufficient.
: Meager success: The situation didn't improve by as much as you have intended.
: Success: Your efforts were sufficient to achieve your goal.
: Epic Success: Your skills and luck have combined to ensure your success.
: Overshot: Your efforts were more than required for the goal's completion, and your luck is such that side-effects are inevitable.
Note that the more complicated your command is, the more likely it is to get a low roll.
Wou have 48 hours to post since the start of an event. Once everyone has picked a command or the time is up I will post the results of the command and the next event. You know I'm a human so I might not get everything up in time but I will try ASAP. The same applies for the referees and co-owners. If people haven't posted at the time I post the next event they get some kind of punishment and don't get an extra command for the next event.
You also have 10 health and 10 mentality.
If your health becomes 0 you die. If you die you're out of the game.
If your mentality becomes 4 or lower you will enter insanity mode:
In this mode you roll a 12-sided dice instead of a 6-sided one.
1-3 = Auto Death. 4-5 = Epic Fail. 6-7 = Fail. 8-10= Success. 11-12 MEGA OVERSHOOT!.
A mega overshoot has even more insane and random side effects than a normal overshoot, for example if you planned to try jumping over a wall and you roll a 12 you might jump so high you get into space.
You can also gain more mentality and go back to normal if you don't want to risk auto death or a too extreme mega overshoot or something.
During your quest you may find helpful items. You can use them by mentioning them in your command, but be careful because if you get a low roll you might lose your item or get hurt. You can also use the items you assigned with your character in your sign-up. Besides your sign-up items you may only have 5 items at a time. If you get more than that you need to leave excess items behind.
You can get afflicted by positive or negative status conditions. For example, you might break your leg, causing any commands involving using your legs (like running) get a lower roll. Or you can become twice as big, causing you to deal more damage and get more max HP till it wears off. However, you might not fit in holes you need to crawl into or you can accidentially trample your allies.
You might recruit allies during your quest. These will follow you on your quest and help you. Some of these have HP and can be killed. They may also turn against you.

Just a friendly reminder: since this game requires you to be active, please check the thread from time to time. If you post much later then the others it can be annoying for the other players and the ref

Name: Your character's name.
Gender: Your character's gender. Male, female, other, none.
Backstory: You character's backstory. You aren't signing up for an RP so it shouldn't be three paragraphs long, but at least give something.
Major skill(if applicable): A major skill that your character focuses around. A roll involving this skill will be easier on the character. Keep it fitting with your character, a British policeman will not be a master with a gun.
Minor skills(if applicable): 2-3 minor skills that your character has. These won't help as much as a major skill, but will help if one comes in handy. Keep it fitting with the character, your rebelious teen won't be speaking five languages.
Equipment(if applicable): Starting equipment. Keep it reasonable.
Backstory: Stinky-winky is a Teletubbie from Teletubbie World (not to be confused with Teletubbie Land). He is the commander of an army of Teletubbies planning to take over the world.
Major skill(if applicable): Being able to communicate with Teletubbies from Teletubbie World with his antennae, allowing him to receive information and call out Teletubbies
Minor skills(if applicable): Super strength, Mind reading

There are 3 characters named Bob, Kevin and Stuart. Each of them is imprisoned in a cage and needs to get out.
Bob: Roll to headbutt the cage and break it open
Bevin: Roll to use a freeze ray and turn the cage into ice allowing me to destroy it
Stuart: Roll to ask for help
You tried to headbutt the cage, but it wasn't affected at all. You also took damage and got a headache. Hhe headache causes you to lose 1 health every 2 turns until 6 turns have passed.

You succeded into freezing the cage and breaking it open. You left the room as quickly as possible.
Stuart did hear you but he was too selfish. The only one who heard you besides Bob and Kevin was a rat. He tried to bite open the cage but failed. You got fed up trying to escape causing you to lose 1 mentality.

status: Headache (Loses 1 health every 2 turns until 6 turns have passed)
allies: A rat. He can't really do anything to help you but he might come in useful. He dies in 1 hit.

Backstory: Red is an air pirate who's raided just about everywhere in the kingdom of Corisant. Current captain of the Skyfire, she's determined to one day overthrow the prince whose army killed her parents.
Major skill (If applicable): Red is pyrokinetic.
Minor skills (If applicable): Red is highly athletic and has a knack for noticing things.
Equipment (If applicable): Grappling gun, flintlock pistol, rapier, folding glider

Gender: Spoopy wavy alien thing
Backstory: Ygthrax landed on top of an animal shelter one day and started hilariously devouring everything with its giant mouth covered tentacles, for absolutely no reason.
Major Abilities: Has giant tentacles that are covered in mouths.
Minor Abilities: Massive knowledge of technology.

Backstory: I won't make it three paragraphs, so I'll cut it really, really short - she's been to several parallel universes before settling in one where she's dating a really adorable photographer with a split personality who also did the same thing. Both went through a lot of s**t to find each other again, but then Lione, due to reasons unknown, got whisked away to the place where roll-to-dodge takes place. By the way, she only speaks Japanese, and so it's hard for her to communicate with other members of the game unless they trust her enough to turn subtitles on.
Another quick note- as well as her boyfriend, she has four allies - if you've gotten the reference by this point (and you really should have if you've seen the "which two signatures would win in a fight" thread) then you should be able to decipher who the four allies are and how they are useful. She can call them and her boyfriend anytime, but due to her travelling not just through parallel universes, but being taken to roll-to-dodge, she doesn't know how busy they'll be or how close she actually is to her and their hometown of Tokyo.
Major Abilities: she can travel to parallel universes whenever she wants. However, she will always wake up in said universe on August 1st without any of her memories. She can regain them, however, if she socialises with the people that she got on well with in the last universe - that includes members of this game.
Minor Abilites: good singer, can flirt quite well
Equipment: phone, diary, reminders notebook, her boyfriend's spare camera, taser (she has a taser just in case of her boyfriend ever switching personalities)
Yes this is one MASSIVE Amnesia: Memories reference. Do I care in any way for how you feel about that? No.

Background: (I know this is probably going to sound really stupid) John is a fourteen year old boy hailing from the far future where all people except a city's worth have gone off into space. The city is controlled by a dystopian corporation, and so, he became a small-time member of a local resistance. After the mysterious alien greys manipulated events around him he has somehow ended up in roll to dodge.
Major skill: "Magic arm" (short range telekinesis and energy manipulation. It's not really magic but don't ask me to explain it or else I will bore you with six paragraphs of text.)
Minor skills: minor proficiency with a gun.
Equipment: "Plazgun" (similar to a laser gun but makes more sense. Also, like last time don't ask me to explain.)

Backstory: She was just a regular Lucario until 9 days ago by the time I'm posting this (9th of March, my birthday)... On that day, she began to feel cold, experiencing strange hallucinations. She turned evil shortly after that. Now, she's more of a rogue, she hates real evil but prefers to be on her own and may attack her allies.
Major skill(if applicable): Dark powers, able to use strong Dark and Ghost type moves.
Minor skills(if applicable): Mega Evolution, power to turn invisible.
Equipment(if applicable): Shadow armour, shadow sword*, shadow bow and arrows

Equipment: Cellphone, jetpack, HP restoring foods, and his signature vehicle, the Blue Falcon.
